Our group of girls came here to celebrate a birthday & this place did not disappoint in any aspect. The atmosphere was great from decor to music volume. The food was very good, & all the drinks were delicious as well. As for the service, a very special thank you to our waiter Alec for taking care of our large group throughout the night. He did an amazing job & we were very happy with the service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion!

I decided to celebrate my birthday at Maggie Oakes this year & had no regrets other than missing out on their terrasse experience! By the time I was making a reservation about a week in advance their terrasse was already booked up so I went with a table inside. Our server Alec was exceptional, not only from the traditional point of view of being a professional with quick & friendly service but also going an extra mile to take pictures of us, 7 girls with very specific instructions LOL. Their steaks are amazing & they have enough vegetarian options to also satisfy non-meat-eating appetites in the group. Appetizers are really unique & flavorful. The drinks are nice & boozy unlike other places that charge you the same prices but put half a shot of alcohol & fill the glass with ice until it overflows.
I got there around 9h30pm a Sunday, got a table right away, & got a drink & my order taken within about 20 minutes. Took some time for the food to arrive, but it was packed & busy, & the waitress did her very best. Asked to use the restroom & got to visit the fine steaks boutique & hotel entrance. I left the restaurant around eleven o'clock & took a stroll in the Quartier des spectacles. Very pleasant experience!

Me & my friends visited Maggie Oakes at the recommendation of a local while visiting Montreal & I am SO HAPPY we went. All 8 of us left were so pleased with our experience! The food was incredible - the lobster pappardelle was to die for, others at the table got steak & burgers & were also very happy with their meals. The ceviche & prosciutto pizza were also delicious. The most stand-out thing about this restaurant though was definitely the service. The service here rivaled that of Michelin star restaurants i've been to. Our waitress was very attentive to our table, her drink recommendations were all so good, we had multiple people servicing our table, making sure we had water, providing fresh utensils, cleaning the table between dishes, etc. Not once did we have to wait for/ask to order, get water, etc. She was incredibly sweet, along with all the other staff. I'd highly recommend Maggie Oakes to anyone visiting Old Montreal. The quality of the food & service will blow you away!!
The food tasted good. The service was kind of confusing. Two different waiters asked us for drinks & disappeared. Finally someone else delivered. The portion size was a bit small. The quality & flavours were amazing
Lovely place to have a bite to eat & drink right in Old Port. John especially was a wonderful gentleman. Sabrina B is an excellent sever as well. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area. The Caesar salad is to die for.
I had brunch here, & really enjoyed the atmosphere. The serving staff were all super friendly & helpful picking between two items when I was indecisive. I really enjoyed the Avocado toast I had, one of the very best. The only disappointing item I had was the Earl Grey Mocktail, which wasn't terrible, just not 10$ good for a non-alcoholic drink. Highly recommend going here for a lovely meal.

We recently had an amazing meal at Maggie Oakes. The cheese board was such a treat. Two of us ordered steaks for our entrees & one of us pasta. All were delicious. Desserts & drinks were also very good. The restaurant felt cozy & comfortable. Our server was friendly & very capable but the restaurant was clearly short staffed as far as servers go. We had a lovely evening, a memorable meal & would definitely return.
My boyfriend & I only came here for drinks, but the barmaid Isabelle was amazing. She was so fast, nice, helpful, & her drinks were great!!! Thank you ❤️

What a way to start the day! Excellent service from all the staff, I can fairly say that Cam is one of the best at what he does.Not only he helps you to find your perfect drink, but he makes sure you are enjoying it. The cocktails he made for us were astonishing & everything with a smile on his face. With this type of treatment, you have no option but to be happy!
