We had just arrived in Montreal & were looking for a place to eat lunch. We came upon Macbar & once inside were warmly greeted by Justin, who is one of the owners. Justin couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, & accommodating. Not only was he very welcoming to us but he also prepared a deliciously decadent plate of classic mac n' cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this gooey, cheesy & flavorful masterpiece. Note: This place is newly reopened & takeout only. We highly recommend it. Thank you, Justin! -Andrea & John

Le macbar a vraiment changé pour le mieux depuis leur réouverture! Mac & Cheese phénoménal & l'équipe est très sympathique. À revisiter si vous vivez dans le quartier depuis longtemps & êtes habitué aux anciennes recettes, vous serez agréablement surpris!

Incredible food, & even better service. Jimmy (the owner) stopped by our table a few times & was incredibly personable. We shared some good conversation & laughs. He suggested the xango (fried cheesecake) for dessert. The xango & all our other food selections far exceeded our expectations. 100% recommend stopping by Macbar, whether you're a local, or in MTL for a visit. Can't wait to visit again!

Très bon endroit pour manger des Mac & Cheese! Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir, il y avait peu de monde, le service a été très rapide, le serveur était très gentil. Il y a du choix sur le menu, vous pouvez même créer vous même votre Mac&Cheese, les portions étaient très généreuses (certains convives n'ont pas réussi à finir leurs assiettes) & la nourriture était excellente!

Si vous avez envie d'un délicieux Mac & Cheese réinventé en même temps de prendre un verre, je recommande ce restaurant sans hésiter!

First,the interior was nice with a open kitchen but the rest of the experience was a nightmare...not only the food took so long(40minutes for Mac & cheese) but the taste was horrible & over priced(for the quality)
The sauce was warm but the pasta was cold & it tasted like powder & water.
I went to Mac bar cause my friend bought me a take out last week & is weird cause it tasted very different(more creamy & cheesy)
I'm not very difficult person but the staff (kitchen & front house)
Seems they don't know what they doing,the waitress didn't know the menu so she couldn't answer all my question about the food(the kitchen didn't have a bell so they were yelling "pick up" couples of time & no one was getting the food...I was about to pick up myself.
They say "the first impression is very important" but Mac bar & fromage didn't do it for me.
Food was very poor quality & the services was .....very poor specially when the waitress charge 2$ gratine for something was included (smoked bacon Mac&cheese).
Overall is not for me & I won't recommend to my friends & family when you know you can make better Mac&cheese at home.
