First time in Montreal & we stopped by Lulu restaurant-everything was so good. We had the shawarma & garlic potatoes, & both were amazing.
Absolutely incredible Lebanese food. Every bite was a full-on flavor explosion…I can't emphasize that enough!!! Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, & thoughtfully prepared. We honestly wished we had a bigger appetite just to try more of the menu.
There are a few tables if you want to eat in, but it definitely has more of a takeout vibe. Either way, the food is outstanding. We'll 100% be back.
Very nice staff. Quality ingredients. Had the Shwarma & the manakeesh. Both very tasty but loved the flavor combination of the manakeesh a lot. We were told to order it'fully dressed' with the veggies & mint; it was delicious!
Un super lieu pour manger libanais, c'était excellent. Un très très bon accueil.
J'y retournerai avec plaisir !
I went in on Tuesday evening about half hour before close & was told they were out of chicken shawarma, so I ordered the chicken plate to go. Unfortunately, when I got home the chicken tasted extremely off with a strong barnyard flavour that I couldn't get past. I've had chicken from here before & it never tasted like this.
I tried calling to let them know, but it was just after closing & no one answered, which is totally fair. Their voicemail was full, so I couldn't leave a message. I tried again the next day because I was worried they might still be serving the same chicken, but still no answer. I live across the city, so I wasn't about to transit over & turn my day into a Curb Your Enthusiasm skit of me chasing down the musty chicken seller.
I really did try to speak with management privately, but since the restaurant was unreachable I'm leaving this as a friendly note to please double-check product at the end of the night. I understand things happen & I've had great shawarma here before, but the food quality was a miss this time.
The food is delicious & they play arabic songs inside.
There is a limited space to sit inside so consider take away
Good food & good service. Had the chicken sandwich, it was tasty & fresh. It's a good casual sandwich place with tasty & authentic marinade. Go have a look!
You're hungry you're at Notre Dame Ouest walking the streets next to Épicerie Lulu. You must absolutely get a sandwich here or grilled pita. It's absolutely delicious with a good kick with the spices as well. Bless this store & their food.
Ordered two dishes & both were made with love & care. Food was delicious & unique. It's a casual place that punches about its weight class in flavor.
We had the chicken shawarma & the cheese & za'atar (moitíe-moitíe) manakeesh. It was all delicious & flavorful & made fresh. They were also super nice.
So delicious & excellent friendly service. Clean place, fresh ingredients, tasty bread, charcoal grill, perfect !
Got the chicken shawarma pita & batata harra, really good. A tiny tad too much lemon but really good overall. Found the pita a bit dry, either the chicken or sauce not spread evenly but I'm nitpicking. Good portion. ~21$ total. Would go back!
I really want to love this place, but it just won't let me. I've been coming since the pre-opening party. They started out with a bang but declined so quickly. The quality is extremely inconsistent; some days it's good, other days it's plainly insulting.
At this price point, there's no excuse for that kind of fluctuation. The menu isn't complicated; it just requires more integrity & stronger management. I know I'm not alone, this has become a common experience in the community. I truly hope things improve, because the concept is fantastic.
