I remember when they first opened I was one of their first customers, the quality was way better. I spent my whole night throwing up & also gotten diarrhea from their chicken shawerma. Highly don't recommend, stay away!
So this was probably one of the best Lebanese places I visited in Montreal in a long time definitely the best in 2026 so far! Here at @luluepicerie they seem to do something a little bit different.
I can't necessarily put my finger on it but honestly it's some of the best Lebanese food I think I've ever had. I got a couple dishes from the Shawarma Mixed Plate that has both beef & chicken, a mountain of fries, fresh & homemade hummus & garlic sauce & a fattoush salad.
I wish they had some actual plates to eat out of tho🤣 especially for pics it would have looked nicer & just a better presentation especially to eat out of but they are new to the block so I'm sure that's on the way soon! But the food was honestly 10/10 foodgasmic 💦!
The Manakeesh is for real for real! We got the cheese & Zaatar combo, straight fire! & my wife got a shawarma beef wrap & it was the best I've ever had!
While my expectations were high based on the reviews & previous visits -we were sadly disappointed. Ordered the'Batata Shawarma' for the vegetarian in our group. See photo below -4 pieces of potato drowning in 2 cups of runny, over-mayonnaised coleslaw. Also ordered the LuLu shawarma chicken bowl. At 630p on a Friday, they didn't have tabouleh. So they gave me'fatoush' (not authentic as missing the crispy pita chips) & another 2 cups of that runny, over-mayonnaised coleslaw (see photo of that runny coleslaw). Chicken was tasty but everything else was'meh'.
I went in on Tuesday evening about half hour before close & was told they were out of chicken shawarma, so I ordered the chicken plate to go. Unfortunately, when I got home the chicken tasted extremely off with a strong barnyard flavour that I couldn't get past. I've had chicken from here before & it never tasted like this.
I tried calling to let them know, but it was just after closing & no one answered, which is totally fair. Their voicemail was full, so I couldn't leave a message. I tried again the next day because I was worried they might still be serving the same chicken, but still no answer. I live across the city, so I wasn't about to transit over & turn my day into a Curb Your Enthusiasm skit of me chasing down the musty chicken seller.
I really did try to speak with management privately, but since the restaurant was unreachable I'm leaving this as a friendly note to please double-check product at the end of the night. I understand things happen & I've had great shawarma here before, but the food quality was a miss this time.
Good food & good service. Had the chicken sandwich, it was tasty & fresh. It's a good casual sandwich place with tasty & authentic marinade. Go have a look!
We had the chicken shawarma & the cheese & za'atar (moitíe-moitíe) manakeesh. It was all delicious & flavorful & made fresh. They were also super nice.
Got the chicken shawarma pita & batata harra, really good. A tiny tad too much lemon but really good overall. Found the pita a bit dry, either the chicken or sauce not spread evenly but I'm nitpicking. Good portion. ~21$ total. Would go back!
Really like this place. Had the cheese manoushe & chicken shawarma. The manoushe was thin crust & properly made, the shawarma was perfect, also really generous with the amount of chicken in the sandwich.
Two Shawarmas + the hospitaluty, smile & pleasantness of Mo is exactly what you need in Montreal at around noon on a hot Saturday day. Great little place in a beautiful neighborhood. We went for chicken & beef & we will definitely come back to go throug the whole menu!
Really delicious! Incredible friendly service. The chicken was grilled to perfection. Wish there was falafel or another vegetarian option but they were out of most veggie options the day I visited.
First time at this place. Had high expectations after seeing it on Instagram. I didn't give 1 star
for the vibe & because i didnt try everything. Shawarma chicken, beef, tawouk, batata were all not good. Meat is dry & garlic sauce tastes like mayo. It's not authentic compared to what we have back home. Many places in greater montreal do it much better.
Idk maybe I just was here on a bad day. Dry & not so warm chicken & beef shawarma sandwiches.. Underwhelming..
Lulu, this time with Mo. His service was outstanding-he served us with a smile & positive energy. As always, the food was fantastic & prepared quickly. The fresh homemade pita was excellent, & the chicken & kebabs were incredibly juicy. Lulu continues to use the same high-quality ingredients they did a year ago, which I truly appreciate. The portions are very generous.
The best lunch spot in St. Henri. From the tasty shawarma with perfectly grilled bread to the most fresh manakish - Lulu is a must. My personal favourites are the chicken shawarma sandwich & the lahme baajin manakesh but everything is a slam dunk from Lulu.
I consider this shop to be one of the best expressions captured by an affordable food establishment in the city & province (& perhaps country). Yet I've been reluctant return for a few months now, ever since Michael left. Mike picked up the community from where Youssef left it. It's been a smooth relay thus far. But the memory of the chicken shawarma overpowered me today. I went in with my family, & the Michael/Youssef sized hole was not filled. It's a high bar, but a necessary one to meet, if Lulu continues to aspire to be a home away from home. Right now, it is not that. Right now, it's slinging the best shawarmas you can possibly eat in North America, that is certain. Somehow, they've made their shawarma sandwich better. Yes, I'll be the first to admit that the quality control of Lulu can at times be as unstable as the Quebecois government (especially the manakish), but when you come in at the right occasion, it doesn't get any better. Is Lulu a 5/5 food establishment? After today, no doubt. I didn't realize that the food alone could carry Lulu to greatness. Does Lulu aim to be more than a food provider? Evidently yes. So despite how impossible it may seem, finding the second-coming of Michael/Youssef is urgent.
I have been a big fan of this place ever since it opened. The manousheh is spectacular so different from other places. The shawarma both meat & chicken were great but I tried them both today & they are dry with no taste whatsoever. Dunno what happened to this place, disappointing.
I've been searching for a good shawarma in Montreal. Let me tell you that Lulu Épicerie exceeded my expectations. The chicken was very flavorful & there was the perfect amount of garlic sauce. I honestly had an amazing experience. would definitely come back & order another dish from the menu!
I recently tried their chicken shawarma paired with a peach drink, & it was delightful. The shawarma was delicious. The peach drink was refreshing . The great staff made the experience even better! They were friendly & kind!
Got a shish taouk player & a half-half manakesh. Both were delicious. The chicken was tender & juicy. The fries were crispy. Highly recommend.
An absolute gem in the south west of Montreal. Home to my favourite chicken Shwarma & one of the best first bites of food you can get in the city. Always a great ambiance with friendly staff to greet you. Their store march also rocks!
