I love the design of the restaurant, combination of modern & contemporary decorations which makes it suitable for dates, friends & also business gatherings. So far, I have tried their Salmon Tartare, Lasagna, LOV Bagel & burgers & all have been very delicious & perfectly served. The staff are also friendly & helpful which positively contributes to the great atmosphere.
Great vibes, great drinks & dessert, horribly salted & peppered mains. Came with two others before the eclipse so we expected an unusually long wait & weren't bothered by it. Waitstaff was overwhelmed & forgetful, but apologetic & extremely friendly. The cocktails were AMAZING & the appetizers were great, but we were all disappointed with the entrees. I had the mushroom risotto that was both so salty & so peppery that you couldn't taste any of the mushrooms. My partner had a pasta dish that was likewise too salty to enjoy. Our friend had the quinoa bowl which was OK at best; the desserts were much better across the board. I'd give this place another chance, even for how pricey it was.
High quality vegan food, delicious & served by professional & friendly staff. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing. This is our new favourite place in DiX30! Highly recommended. People who are not vegan also commented that they enjoyed the vegan & vegetarian dishes. Next level!
The espresso martini is phenomenal! Love that there is a vegetarian restaurant that has fun takes on meat classics (like a salmon tartare) but the kitchen was pretty slow on the day we visited. - Snails: never had meat snails before so it was interesting to taste the vegetarian ones. 3/5 - salmon tartare: the top part was really tasty & reminded me of the actual meat version, but the bottom portion is all guac. 4/5 - brussel sprouts: not spicy & burnt 2/5 - dumplings: great taste, might be a bit too fried 4/5 - kimchi fries: solid choice! 4/5
I loved this place, the food was great. I was a little disappointed with the waiter who served me & my friends but other than that, all good!
We ate here last night. We had the mushroom risotto & the Mujadara bowl as our main entrees. As appetizers, we had fries & the simulated plant based snails. We finished with the crème brûlée & the chocolate brownie. The food was good, the service was mindful & the atmosphere was great. I am rating them a four, not a five, because they have a very limited menu. It is always nice to have more options.
The food was amazing & the waitress was so friendly & attentive. If you are looking for a tasty vegan breakfast or brunch in Montreal, LOV is definitely the place to go.
Really not worth the price tag. The food is only ok. Fries were definitely not tasty. For that price, you can't go wrong with BVRGER by Christian Ventura.
Went with a group of about 10 & were seated in the far back. As a bigger group we had to order off of a $45 or a $55 pre-fix menu with 2-3 choices, which was a bit of a bummer. Lovely atmosphere & decor & servers were friendly but it took 30 minutes for a server to come around to take our order once we all arrived, & then another 40 minutes until our appies. It was a full house, so I get that the servers would be somewhat busy but that's a bit much. The dumplings were tasty, as was the cheesecake & the lemonade. The pesto gnocchi, on the other hand, I found gummy & lacking in seasoning. Pan-frying the gnocchi would add texture. A bit of fresh ground pepper & a few cherry tomatoes would lighten up the dish.
The food was good, the service was absolutely amazing. I had organized a dinner for a group of 12 people & they were very accommodating, despite me being last minute. The staff were super friendly, & surprisingly very bilingual as well. The food was very good (as expected). It was a little pricy, but not more than any other equivalent restaurant. The only thing we found to lack was some of the portion sizes. For example, some of our group were excited to try the Pesto Gnocchis. But the portion was not very big, & they were still quite hungry by the end. So that's my only complaint. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Especially if you're trying to expose people to the positives of a vegan diet!
The food was great, we came for dinner in the evening, we made a reservation. This was our first time trying orange wine & it didn't disappoint, it was flavourful & not too dry. For starters we had the dumplings, they were nice & cooked to have a good crunch when biting into them & the kimchi fries, the sesame dressing was amazing, we had to ask for more dressing as there wasn't enough on the fries. For mains we had the creamy gnocchi pesto & the mushroom risotto, both tasted amazing. Both were flavourful & it doesn't make you miss meat at all. Overall a good experience & would recommend others to try the restaurant.
One of my favourite places in Montreal for vegan food! The food is consistently good & the service is always friendly.
Very nice restaurant with well priced food. Got the salmon tartare & truffle burger. Both were very good & was about 40 all together. One staff (though it was a sunday) so she was really busy & we waited on our food longer then expected. Onle rate for 4/5 because creme brulee was pretty bad (tasted like scotch pudding) my friends got the curry & absolutely loved it to bits
Boho brunch vibes in a classy, instagram worthy restaurant at LOV. LOV has been on my list for many years & I finally got a chance to go! It definitely lived up to its hype, the quality of the vegan food is amazing. Everything tasted super fresh & delicious. We ordered the chick n waffle (fried oyster mushroom) which was so good you aren't going to miss chicken (we aren't vegan ! ). The tofu Benedict was a favourite for the family, it surprised us & was delicious. The granola bowl is a great option should you not be in the mood for a heavy savoury breakfast either. The golden milk is a warm, cozy, & immune boosting drink that'll be great on a cold winter & fall morning! The mango tango is a good smoothie , that's not too sweet. Thank you for the kind lady for serving my family & I. Although the kitchen had some issues with getting our order, our server made it up to us kindly. Thank you! I recommend reservations via OpenTable.
Beautifully decorated place. However l have had better when it comes to vegan burger & did not like the truffle fries that much, small portion & weird texture. I did not really taste the cheese in the lov cheeseburger, & the vegan patty had a strange dry texture. So-so service.
Great food, friendly & helpful staff! I tried the tofu benedict & it was amazing. Also the coffee is very good.
I really enjoyed having a vegan date night at LOV!! The staff were kind & they offered a variety of white wines by the glass (including my favourite type of Chardonnay!) The Kimchi fries came out a little undercooked but the toppings were fantastic. It was a little over salted but easily remedied by their wine :) The food did take long to prepare but was worth the wait. I believe they were hoping to serve all our dishes at the same time. For my main, I had the coconut curry which I was delighted to see served with quinoa (A lower carb substitute for rice! Although they had some rice in it as well which was a tad bit undercooked). In areas for improvement, it was a little cold. Also, for all the food related issues I believe just turning the stove/fryer on a little higher would help the dishes tremendously; with the undercooking & temperature. The highlight was definitely the atmosphere! It felt very peaceful & calming. Everything was near perfect, a few minor adjustments to the food would really make this restaurant a must-see! Either way, I will definitely come again to try other vegan food on their menu! :)
Checked the website ahead, knew what I wanted to eat. Went there Sunday at 2 pm. Only brunch menu served. I went there to try one of their main dishes. Waitress was polite but not friendly. Noone looked after us for 10 minutes when it was actually pretty empty. Table behind us was ready to leave but it sounded sooo busy in there. Not a pleasant experience all together.
Lovely, classy place with a great menu. Perfect for date nights & for going out with friends, with a good price to quality ratio.
The burgers are really good, also came with fries & the service was good. The vibe is also very chill to share with friends.
