We went on a Saturday evening around 6pm, there was no available table online so we decided to just go there & check. Fortunately, there was an available table outside, but put in mind it was a cold evening, & no outdoor heater provided. Servers were friendly, but the service was slow. The food was okay. I ordered a burger since I read the good reviews online, though it's just a regular burger with fries to me. Nothing special about it. I like the pasta Genovese that my friend ordered tho.
Had such a lovely dinner at Lou's. Definitely recommend a reservation. Great atmosphere & service was lovely. It's so fun to have a nice spot in Point Claire. I died for the cocktails - they're amazing. The burger is perfect & the fries are SO good. Had the tuna carpaccio which is a must & for dessert the bread pudding is to die for. Definitely excited to come back.
The best burgers in town, the tuna carpaccio is truly out of this world. The scallops have a unique flavor, & my father ordered the Genovese , & even though he's not a big fan of pasta, this one really captivated him. Highly recommended!
We had a large group & the service & food was amazing! Can't go wrong with the chicken & the burger.
They did not have a lot of things that they had on the menu. Their menu is already small. They had no pasta left. Then they only had 1 burger? Who has 1 burger left? We had a reservation for 6 people. The tuna carpacio was good & their fries were pretty good too. Will not be back tho
Had the most amazing dinner at Lou's! Everything from food, service, to ambiance was just spot on. We ordered almost everything on the menu & it was all amazing. I particularly loved the onion dip, tuna tar tar & the burger. Can't wait to go back!
We just had dinner here, we've been excited to try it since it opened in the village. The food was good. The crab cake was delish! Mmm. The braised beef pappardelle - pasta Genovese was good but not to die for. But, it was way way too hot. We asked the waitress if the ac is working she replied "oh yes it is fully on, it's a small space & doors are open all the time & I'm hot too...". It was also very loud. It's very small & very loud though esthetically pretty. My first choice was the Caesar salad, but I wanted some chicken on it. So I asked & the waitress & she said they can't do it...even though they have a roasted chicken dish. Then I debated the burger, but wanted to substitute the fries for a Caesar salad. She quickly replied "it's company policy we can't do that..." umm... 🙄 Odd as they have a bowl of salad as a meal ( no chicken offered yet they serve chicken as a meal...) very rarely do we come across a restaurant that can't alter or modify things to make customer happy especially a nicer place like this one that isn't a huge chain. The wine & beer were very small for the cost- the beer wasn't even a pint for $9. Overall we didn't enjoy the experience fully. We wouldn't come back unless it was for someone's birthday for example.
What an amazing burger & fries, but the service made me give them 4 stars. These days tip starts at 20% but they not woth it many times. I think they check up on us once & I had to ask for vinegar twice & never got it. Shame as I loved the food.
Downtown vibe but in the village. But very loud. The beef tartare, & crab cake were very good. Mac n cheese was a little dry. The burger was excellent. The sea bass was good but a small portion. The eggplant parmigiana was ok & the size was more of an entree than a main. The cocktails were also just ok.
