Review Summary

Louise Boulangerie Artisanale is widely praised for high quality artisanal breads and pastries that feel French, with favorites that include brioche au sucre, sourdough with a crunchy crust and tangy interior, and the pain platine as well as almond croissants, all offered at prices many reviewers consider unbeatable. The viennoiseries are described as fresh, flaky, and crafted with evident care, and the overall experience is marked by inviting aromas and a sense of craft. Service is generally fast, friendly, and efficient, though some reviews note busy lunch periods can slow things down and mood can feel rushed. While many experiences meet or exceed expectations, others point to occasional inconsistencies in pastry freshness or fillings, and a few complain about changes in sandwich garnishes or perceived variation over time. The bakery is described as a neighborhood staple with a welcoming vibe and a strong value proposition, and a move to Pointe Saint Charles is seen by some as a positive update. Overall, the sentiment converges on Louise Boulangerie Artisanale as a top choice for bread and pastries in the area, with enthusiasm for the croissants, patisserie, and savory options, alongside calls for continued focus on consistent quality and service.

I ordered today for the 1st time through UberEats; I've tried a lot of bakeries, but this place is on another level.
The Brioche au Sucre is the absolute star of the show. It was triple the size of the brioches I've seen elsewhere, yet it was the same price! It's amazingly delicious, incredibly light, buttery, & so fresh it practically melts in your mouth. You're getting artisanal quality at an unbeatable value.
The Sourdough is also a must-buy. It has a perfect, crunchy crust & a beautiful tangy interior. You can really taste the high-quality ingredients & the care put into the bake.
Everything is so fresh & the craftsmanship is obvious. Definitely my new favorite spot!

Great bakery shop in the Little Italy. I went there for the bread & the pie. Great food. Great quality. Price is friendly. Staffs are cool. Definitely recommend the bakery for all my friends.

Edit: I have to change my review years later. The last 4-5 times I have come, my husband & I both noticed a marked decline in quality. This latest visit was the final nail in the coffin. The baguette was hardly baked (barely brown & mostly white all over), about 1/3 the size of any other time I have visited & softer than a Maxi store brand baguette. Cutting it with my usual bread knife proved challenging & ended up squishing the baguette into a patty as I tried to be as delicate as possible. The chocolatine was dry & lacking the signature buttery texture/flavour that I have come to know & was burnt (black around the edges).

Old review:
Their breads & pastries are always fresh & delicious. The chocolatine's are to die for!

Words can't describe my appreciation for this bakery. My family's favorite - I walk 30 min to get to it over my nearby bakery. Fair prices for fantastic quality. I highly suggest the Louise baguette & the focaccia - they are on our weekly shopping list

Very good. Quality can be a bit variable but even then one of the better bakeries in town & the patisseries aren't too sweet!

I've been living in Montreal for three years. I'm from Germany, & I was very sad that I couldn't find good quality bread here. Now, l've found this bakery. I'm overjoyed. Everything is of very high quality. I'm so happy. Thank you for being here
