Belle brasserie, assez chic.
View more
Decent food overall.
Hanger steak was quite disappointing.
Duck confit was a bit above average.
Wild mushroom risotto was okay.
Cod was good sized & tasty.View more
Leméac never disappoints. I've been coming here for brunch for years, & the food is always impeccable. This time, I had the poached eggs with smoked salmon & Spanish caviar on blinis - a timeless classic that's always delicious. They also serve fresh, hot, crispy baguette with homemade jams, which perfectly rounds out the experience.
(Make sure to book ahead as it does get quite busy.)View more

Lemeac is my go to reliable, happening place in Montreal. I go to the bar with my girlfriends to the mill around with the media crowd on Thursday nights & I take my Mum for brunches on weekends. I go for power lunches. The food is constantly perfect & the staff is pro. BUT i recently had a friend in town who just had a stroke. Beautiful woman, used to be treated in a sophisticated way BEFORE her stroke. Now is different story. It's complicated. But I took her to Lemeac for lunch. We didn't have a reservation & the place was packed. The host addressed her without hesitation even if she was aware of her condition. My friend in her difficult prononciation asked for a table by the window. The host gave us that table. I am moved to tears while I write this to say that we had a brigade of staff who made sure she would remember her lunch. She is back in California & that lunch is the first time since her accident that she was remembered what a delightful restaurant experience can be. Thank you.View more
Nous avons été pour un brunch en groupe. Excellent services & rapide. Bons choix. Nous y retournerons avec plaisirs.View more
I've been to Lemeac everytime I've come to Montreal. We tried their Fish Soup, minestrone, Grilled calamari, mushroom ravioli, beef tartare, duck confit, mushroom risotto, profiteroles & banana sticky toffee pudding. Top dishes were the ravioli, beef tartare & duck confit. We reserved on the same day but could only get a 9.30pm reservation. Would definitely recommend booking earlier. Service was good & ambiance is always pleasant. Would recommend if you're looking for a casual French restaurant. 💯View more
View more
Food... Good but not above average
Wine list ... Wines are very expensive versus the quality & the vintage of the wines that they offer.
Service ,.. friendly but could improve in efficiency. They assign a waiter for your table instead of all waiters serving all tables
Atmosphère... Noisy, no table cloth setting. Cutlery is of average quantity. Wine glasses are acceptable.
In general, not a value for money resto.View more
Lovely lunch at Leméac! The classic salad was crisp & refreshing, the asparagus perfectly cooked, & the salmon tartare was fresh & delicious. The pasta was rich & satisfying, paired beautifully with a smooth latte. Ended on a sweet note with a delicate macaron. Timeless French bistro charm & excellent service-Montreal at its best!View more

Très bonne découverte !View more
This was a highly recommended French restaurant in Montreal. Weekends are always booked, & reservations are needed.
The ambiance was nice, perfect for a dim romantic dinner. Although, don't expect it to be a quiet place as it's buzzing with energy & conversations.
We had the foie gras, beef tartare, crunchy goat cheese, & the moulle fritte. I liked everything except for the mussels. I thought the broth missed the mark, & some of the mussels were slightly undercooked since it was still translucent. I didn't feel safe eating it all.
Service was also pretty slow. Took 30 minutes for us to get the main course. We didn't get any drinks, but they seem fancy enough. Overall, for 4 dishes, we paid CAD150.View more

Such a lovely spot! The food was delicious, the heated terrace so cozy, the menu strikes a perfect balance, refined, & full of dishes that let quality ingredients shine. Big thanks to our sweet server who brought a blanket when he saw I was cold, very thoughtful ! 🥐🍓☕?View more
