One of the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. the meat is really juicy & flavorful. Fries were really crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're going to visit Montréal
Old school deli where the menu hasn't really changed in 50 years & that's ok. There's not many places like this left in Mtl. Nothing fancy here but the food is good, hearty, staff is friendly & competent, & prices are reasonable. The smoked meat super special deal is still one of the best in the city: 1lb smoked meat, 1 loaf bread, + trimmings for 30$

Le goût est correct mais je suis très décu par la portion du sandwich & des frites qui nous ont été livré (25$). L'image ne correspond pas a ce que j'avais dans mon assiette. Je ne recommande malheureusement pas a cause de ceci.
The waitress was in a rush for the food order. When I asked her for recommendations & specialties, she ignored my questions & pointed out "special", no proper conversation & smile. I thought she might not speak English, but I noticed she treated other English speaking customers (White people) in a decent & pleasant manner. It made me wonder because of my skin colour she didn't want to serve me?
Je vais dans ce resto depuis 50 ans (j'ai 66). La dernière fois, en juillet 2023, ils avaient troqué leurs délicieuses frites pour des congelées. Dommage car les anciennes étaient tellement meilleures (pâles, plus longues, plus épaisses, plus croustillantes & moins graisseuses, désolé d'ainsi le signifier).
Par ailleurs, heureusement que le smoked-meat était toujours aussi bon. Alors merci en espérant le retour de vos bonnes frites d'avant, sûrement plus dispendieuses à produire. Mais mais mais une réputation se détruit-elle plus rapidement qu'elle ne se construit ? Un respect à cette tradition de la frite ?
Restaurant de quartier sans prétention mais j’ai été agréablement surpris. Dans une ambiance un peu vieillotte mais tout de même sympathique, nous avons eu le choix dans une carte assez complète & avec des prix relativement contenus. Le service a été rapide & impeccable & nous nous sommes régalé avec la viande fumée.
Been around forever, large menu of really good deli food. Staff has been there a long time & service is fast. Smoked meat is excellent & so are the poutines.
We went to try the famous smoke meat sandwich & it didn't disappoint. Sandwiches & pizzas are the best, if you visit during 11am-3pm they have lunch combos at great prices. Menu has many options & service is friendly & quick.
