Had a great experience. Had all the hallmarks of a cosy diner. Classic red booths ✅ Friendly & kind waitress who has been here for almost 2 decades ✅ nice fresh classic food ✅ encouragement to linger & talk even once you're done eating & paid ✅.we ordered the classic smoked meat sandwich, the bacon egg & cheese, & the cheesecake. Everything was delicious! This place is dey recommended.

A very atmospheric place to rediscover the atmosphere of'old Montreal'. The welcome was a bit aggressive due to confusion on the part of the person at reception. The smoked meat was overabundant but very watery & I don't see the point in eating it - save your meat eating opportunities for better quality meat. I would recommend this place to enjoy its ambience whilst eating a salad or chips - but not the smoked meat.
Excellent restaurant proposant de la viande fumée, spécialité québécoise. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Serveuse agréable & sympathique. Je recommande !

Great place that has been around for a very long time. The food is always perfect, nice portions, very reasonable prices, good service & nice atmosphere. Highly recommend it if you haven't been there before.

I got takeout so I can't really comment on the atmosphere, but the lovely elderly woman at the cash recommended their special & it did not disappoint! It was SO delicious! The smoked meat was tender & really moist (sorry). My husband doesn't like smoked meat as a rule, but even he said it was delicious. I had the special & it was super affordable at $20! A steal in this economy. Next time I go to Montreal I will be going back for sure!
