Great place ! Relaxed ambiance, laid back. Friendly & efficient service.
A meal at Le Rio should set you back of about 45 - 60 $ (no alcohol) but you could easily spend over a 100 per person all depending on the meal you choose.
Speaking of meal, the food is AMAZING, id advice you try the rack of ribs which is their specialty & boy oh boy do they know their stuff.
The french fries are on part with la belle pro. for exemple, not frozen, freshly made, freaking delicious !!! Had a great time there, will most def. go back this summer. 💯
We are 2 seniors that dine together often, & we split our meals because we do not eat the same amount of food as in our prior years. This allows us to try many restaurants in the St Sauveur area.
We went to Rio to try the ribs on Sunday night. There was only one other table occupied.
Sophie was a very pleasant server, & very polite. We explained to her that we would be splitting a rib meal together. She said it's not normally allowed, but for this night she would accommodate us.
The ribs were excellent, but thrown on top of the French fries, & there was a minuscule amount of coleslaw. For the fact alone, that we are not allowed to share a future plate, we will not be going back. St Sauveur is loaded with senior people, & trust me, we are your marketing agents!
Food was so so. Too much French fries & too much salt in every dish. Don't ask for coffee, as what we got was anything, but coffee.
Delicious food, fantastic service & charming ambience. This family owned restaurant is a must stop. We got the full rack of ribs, which we couldn't finish, & they made a perfect midnight snack (I'm eating them as I write this!). Ribs were classic bbq style, not too fatty but very juicy, on a bed of perfectly fried french fries (the classic poutine style fries that are a deep brown but soft & sweet) & a tangy coleslaw that balances out the flavours. 10/10 would recommend:)
