Le Rio functions as a specialized establishment focused on high-heat preparation and premium bovine cuts. The kitchen emphasizes charcoal grilling techniques to develop deep, charred exteriors while maintaining precise internal temperatures for various steak profiles. Guests encounter a straightforward menu centered on traditional grill house staples, utilizing heat and seasoning to highlight the natural characteristics of the meat. The preparation process prioritizes consistent texture and bold, savory flavor profiles developed through controlled fire management. Side dishes align with the steakhouse theme, offering vegetable and potato accompaniments intended to complement the protein-forward offerings. The physical environment features utilitarian design choices that prioritize functionality and direct access to the grilling area. This approach ensures that the culinary output remains the primary focus for all patrons seeking robust, meat-centric preparations.

Great place ! Relaxed ambiance, laid back. Friendly & efficient service.
A meal at Le Rio should set you back of about 45 - 60 $ (no alcohol) but you could easily spend over a 100 per person all depending on the meal you choose.
Speaking of meal, the food is AMAZING, id advice you try the rack of ribs which is their specialty & boy oh boy do they know their stuff.
The french fries are on part with la belle pro. for exemple, not frozen, freshly made, freaking delicious !!! Had a great time there, will most def. go back this summer. 💯
Group of 5 adults on a Saturday night. Everyone enjoyed their different meals: ribs, chicken, fish& chips & stuffed chicken in Cajun sauce. All the desserts we tried were very good too. Friendly service, relaxed cozy atmosphere, well priced food. Very happy with our experience!
Had a great dinner experience with family - group of 10 ; square table set up allowed easy conversation - we loved our dishes, especially the filet mignon, local fish & amazing ribs .Service was excellent, too.
Highly recommend the escargot, as well. Requested without cheese
We'll definitely be dining here again.
I cant believe I have not reviewed this place before. This is a Gem of Sainte Sauveur.
I have been going to this place for almost 2 decades & as long as ive been cottaging in the sainte sauveur & tremblant area. The first time I tried it my cottage was over an hour away & it was worth every min.
The ribs are fantastic. I have lots of confidence in the rest of the food but I personally always get a full rack.
The staff are also absolutely wonderful.
Even today they made a point of reminding me that calling in my order would have saved me some money vs placing it online.
The food was really not good & we tried a lots of different things. The ribs, Dore & shrimp were maximum ok. The mocktails were also not good, way to sour for what these are usually. The brownie as a dessert was the best of the whole evening 😅 so I would rate it on a foodscale as pub food, that usually focuses on drinks but also served food, but it's nothing compared to really good restaurants that you can find in St Sauveur & this is why I can't fully understand the 4.4 stars rating. Sorry 🙁
We visit this restaurant annually. We live in the Ottawa region & every year, they never cease to amaze us. We always have the ribs & every time they have been great & the service has always been amazing. That is why we return every year. It's clear that the owners takes pride in the food & services they offer. We will be back!
We are 2 seniors that dine together often, & we split our meals because we do not eat the same amount of food as in our prior years. This allows us to try many restaurants in the St Sauveur area.
We went to Rio to try the ribs on Sunday night. There was only one other table occupied.
Sophie was a very pleasant server, & very polite. We explained to her that we would be splitting a rib meal together. She said it's not normally allowed, but for this night she would accommodate us.
The ribs were excellent, but thrown on top of the French fries, & there was a minuscule amount of coleslaw. For the fact alone, that we are not allowed to share a future plate, we will not be going back. St Sauveur is loaded with senior people, & trust me, we are your marketing agents!
