This was my second time going there with my daughter & we get first class service, I was impressed! The inside was Warm & cozy, Lovely decor, Very classy & romantic. The food was AMAZING!!! & still the same, still great, The hummus was different than others I've tried, also the injera was so so delicious, everything we ordered was delicious. The staff were very friendly & helpful making recommendations. The Bathrooms are very interesting too. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Montreal who want to try something new! It is the best Ethiopian food we have ever had We will return. Five out of five. Well done! I read the reviews & people complaint that the service is slow ,it was quick for me & I am satisfied.
My friends & I had a great dinner at Nil Bleu. As it was our first times trying Ethiopian food, the waiters were helpful in telling us about the dishes & portion sizes.
As a group of 4 we got the vegetarian sampler for 2, & then ordered two additional meat dishes off the menu. It was more than enough food for us all as there was even some leftover.
I would highly recommend them for their food, & service. Great flavours to their dishes.

I really enjoy this restaurant. The vegan combo plate is simply delicious. They have a great menu offering several speciality Ethiopian dishes. The staff is friendly & welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant. My friend & I had a wonderful evening eating delicious food & speaking with the friendly waiters.
I am usually a very difficult person when it comes to good but my experience was extremely Amazing from the service the staff until the food
A place I would definitely recommend to anyone who is a foodie like me ✨✨✨✨✨

Le service était excellent rien dire merci beaucoup le repars était délicieux, la décoration magnifique on a voyage en éthiopie. Je vs recommande cher amis.
Food & drinks were excellent! Servers were very nice, but not enough staff, so service was a quite slow. We had the two courses tasting which was a great way to try multiple dishes, & the portions were generous. Would definitely recommend it.
Très bonne nourriture servie avec gentillesse & en livrant toutes les explications gustatives utiles pour nous donner envie de dévorer ces délices !! A recommander sans modération.

Meilleure expérience culinaire depuis longtemps!!! Ce restaurant Ethiopien m'avait été recommandé par ma fille, fine bouche, très sélective en matière de restauration parce qu'elle apprécie la cuisine très raffinée. Elle fait régulièrement le tour des meilleurs restaurants ... Nous avons donc décidé d'y aller pour la fête des mères! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons tout de suite été pris en charge par le serveur souriant & avec un uniforme irréprochable. Le restaurant est très accueillant, très propre & très bien organisé. La décoration avec ses tableaux africain, ses sculptures de bois représentant des personnages africains nous font plonger dans un continent tout autre (décor chic orné de zébrures & d'art africains)! Le choix des couleurs sans oublier ces chaises zébrées... Bravo! Mais... revenons à notre gastronomie!!! La nourriture est EXCELLENTE, RAFFINÉE & tellement délicieuse! Les plats principaux sont servis sur l'injera, un pain plat traditionnel éthiopien.... un délice! Que vous soyez végane ou omnivore, le menu dégustation en deux services rassemble les sélections du chef & les plats les plus populaires afin de vous offrir le meilleur de la gastronomie éthiopienne! La présentation est très sophistiquée! & les prix sont très abordables pour la qualité des plats & du service.... J'y retourne sans tarder car tous mes amis & proches veulent découvrir... Mon restaurant préféré, j'y vais depuis toujours avec mes parents. La nourriture est excellente, même après 33 ans, ca reste mon resto préféré, & il n'y a nul part à Montréal autre que le Nil bleu pour satisfaire ce craving de cuisine éthiopienne!! L'ambiance est super & le resto est tellement accueillant & propre. Je recommande à tous 💕💕 J'y vais depuis ma tendre enfance & je n'arrêterai jamais d'y aller!
One of my favourite places to eat in Montreal. I've been going to Nil Bleu for years. Excellent service, delicious food (I recommend one of their tasting menus to share) & a great atmosphere.

The food was great: it was presented beautifully & in large portions! Some of the best Ethiopian food in Mtl for sure.
Service: much better than what I'd expected, but there was a bit of chaos! There was a long wait btw our starters & main course with nobody showing up to ask if we were done! Someone from our party asked about wifi & they said they had it but never came back to provide the details...
Otherwise we had a lovely time there. Highly recommend the tasting menu!
I wish the review option let me put a 4.5 - this is a fabulous restaurant with lovely food that feels quite authentic - the decor is lovely & it is clean - they have some very interesting juices & cocktails - & the sharing platter has served us well on both recent visits. Very nice service.
Reservations are highly recommended, & the seating is comfortable.
