Une belle découverte lors d'un diner d'affaire. Ambiance feutrée & agréable, décoration raffinée, service excellent, courtois & sympathique, & cuisine pleine de saveurs & de surprises. De plus, au regard de l'endroit & de la qualité du service & de la cuisine, nous avons trouvé les tarifs extrêmement raisonnable. L'un des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal, sans aucun doute! Nourriture incroyable, service impeccable & sympathique, belle ambiance & décor. On a aimé la touche africaine chic & la modernité accueillante de l'endroit. Un resto chic qui ne ruine pas, on adore! Parfait pour un souper romantique. Les plats à partager sont copieux & exquis! Ma photo n'y rend pas justice.

I really enjoyed the chicken sambusa entree & lamb curry with the special Ethiopian bread. Delicious blend of spices. The service was prompt & warm. Authentic decor. Very welcoming. The Ethiopian tea was soothing. The hibiscus & ginger drink was refreshing. Shall return soon!

This was better than the best Ethiopian restaurant in Manhattan. Unreal quality of food. The beef gored gored was so good we had to order another plate. The decor is also lovely.
I have eaten in many ethiopian restaurants over the years in various parts of the world: Toronto, NY, DC, Milan , Paris , Rome,etc...& I must say this is the best ethiopian restaurant based on those 3 variables: atmosphere (setting), food & service. The food is well prepared & well set on the plate. The portions are decent & the service is very friendly. The restaurant itself is amazingly decorated & very modern. A must if you are in Montreal
Went there for the first time to try Ethiopian food. The decor & ambiance are nice, with good music. The food was very good, & we got the tasting menu for two. The food is great for spicy & spice lovers, with many options & generous portions. However, the desserts were quite average & didn't really relate to the cuisine. Overall, the experience was nice. It's a good spot if you want to explore Ethiopian food.
Likely holds the crown for best Ethiopian restaurant in Montreal. Spectacularly decorated space with a well-formatted menu. Service was also superb. Food was utterly delicious. Flawlessly clean washrooms. Very well executed restaurant on all fronts.
Surprised to be able to reserve a table for two last nminute on a Saturday night, but really glad I did.lovely decor & vibe, with comfortable seating, & background music that allowed customers to carry out normal conversation. Although the place was packed, from the time we walked in to the time we left, service was friendly, attentive & very helpful with questions about a cuisine we were not familiar with. The star of the show was the food. Tasty, plentiful, with just the right amount of spice & aromatics. We chose the meat (they also had a vegetarian option) tasting menu, since it provided a nice intro to Ethiopian cuisine. It included a nice selection of starters to share & a platter of lamb, beef, chicken, lentils & vegetables all cooked in different sauces/styles, with plenty of injera to scoop everything up. This was my 1st experience with this kind of cousine. It was fantastic. We got the tasting menu for 2 & it was a beautiful presentation & wonderfully flavored. The staff was attentive & friendly. Our server explained the food & was very pleasant. The bathroom was beautifully renovated. However, if I wanted to see my hair, I would have to bend over to look in the mirror. There was a wodden decorative panel that blocked my view from the chest up. There is a lovely water feature on the stairs giving a nice atmosphere. I would go again without question.
Première fois que nous mangions éthiopien & se fut une excellente surprise ! Accueilli par un jeune homme très élégant & serviable. Rien à redire sur le service & l'explication des plats, clair & concis. La décoration est charmante & tout a fait dans le thème sans en faire trop. La nourriture fut une très belle découverte pour nous 2, nous avons prit le menu dégustation pour pouvoir goûter un peu à tout, chacun à sa saveur, relevé sur certains sans trop que ce soit piquant. La juste dose ! Nous y reviendront certainement !
L'acceuil est super. Des notre arrivée, un serveur vêti d'un costume est venu nous voir. Il nous a aidé à retirer nos manteau & il a déposer nos manteau. Il serveille les manteaux. Le service est rapide, courtois, chaleureux & la nourriture est savoureuse. J'ai adoré la décoration. Jusqu'à présent, je met ce restaurents dans les top 1 de Montréal. J'ai jamais été aussi bien servi. Il y a 2 étages.
J'ai choisi Le Nil Bleu pour célébrer avec un grand groupe. Considérant que plusieurs personnes ont confirmer leur présence à des moments différents, la communication pour la réservation a été courtoise & efficace. La nourriture est bonne & exactement ce qu'on y attendait. Le décor feutré est chaleureux. C'est une institution montréalaise parfaite pour une date en tête à tête ou un gros groupe.
Nil Bleu est l'un des plus jolis restaurants de Montréal ! La décoration, l'ambiance ainsi que la musique y sont très originales & typiquement africaines ! La fine cuisine éthiopienne y est servie avec soin & courtoisie ! Des plats avec ou sans viande sont suggérés au menu. La propreté du restaurant ainsi que des toilettes y est impeccable ! Bravo aux propriétaires & aux employés( es ) pour leur magnifique travail, leur fidélité & leur dévouement !
