They didn't have drinks in the menu but you get still a nice varieties of gluten free dessert, sandwiches & more! I tried their almond croissant there & the one I had was bit hard for me to bite on & it taste bit burn & dried I couldn't eat it at all after a few bites. For the price that I pay for, I was little sad & disappointed to received a dry croissant as my snack to eat before heading to work today. Aside from that, the service is friendly & didn't had lots of place to seat there or don't sell drink but I ask to the person who worked there if I could have a glass of water & they gave me some water & the ambiance is very cozy & quiet
Excellent gluten-free bakery with TONS of vegan options. The tarts were to die for. Yum!!!
The chef was very very friendly & nice. :) Made the whole experience worth it. Gluten free oriented cuisine is rare & they succeed the crepes batter so much that I couldn't see the difference. 😄
Wider selection of gluten free backed goods than I've seen elsewhere. Delicious croissants & desserts hold up to comparison with their gluten counterparts. The maple éclair was amazing.
Best gluten-free pastries I've ever had! Actually, among the best pastries I've ever had even outside of being GF. I had the chocolate almond croissant a few months back & bought some frozen ones to bring home, too. I just reheated one after several months of being in the freezer & it was still amazing! Interior of the shop could be nicer but there is a lovely sitting area outside when the weather allows!
Absolutely amazing gluten free crepes & pastries, fresh & tasty, in a certified GF facility. A must for anyone with gluten sensitivity - I wish we had more places like this in the US.
Came here with my partner who's gluten free & he left with a haul! Haha I myself got a maple eclair & I wish I left with 5 of them! DELICIOUS
Pastries were okay. Pistachio eclair didn't really have much pistachio flavor - just tasted sweet. The passion fruit mousse & the chocolate croissant tasted nice & had great texture. The brownie was thick & chocolatey, but also gritty. Overall, I'd say that all items were priced reasonably. When I came in, I wasn't greeted by the person working despite me saying hello first. Customer service/overall vibes were definitely lacking, & she seemed miserable/bothered to be interacting with me. Not sure if many people who look like me (Black people) stop by this place...but based on my experience I'll be visiting another gluten free bakery the next time I'm in Montreal.
Love a gluten free bakery, & this one is no exception. It's tough seeing the pasteries around Montreal & not being able to partake, but this helped us feel included. We ordered delicious empanada, which we ate right away (served warm), & then we also got croissants to go, both sweet ones & giant savory sandwiches we could take with us. Definitely recommend visiting here if you are celiac or gluten free.
When it comes to gluten free pastries, I've not seen a single bakery that comes close to what you can get at Boulangerie Le Marquis. I live in Ottawa but always come here when I'm in Montreal. I've had a lot of the tarts, but the Pain Chocolate & Croissants (both gluten free) are certainly the best. The dough is actually laminated, the way you'd expect a croissant to be. So many gluten free bakeries have let me down on that front but this is not one of them! You can buy them fresh or frozen. They store well in the freezer for up to a few months & are easy to reheat. Pictures attached are the pain chocolats reheated in the oven with an egg wash.
It was toasty warm in here but the croissant was heaven I almost didn't notice my sweat 😅 I wanted to get one of everything! The croissant was so good I had to go back & get another. Best gluten free I've ever had.
My favourite gluten free bakery I have ever been to! I've been all over downtown looking for good ones & this is my favourite spot. The people are lovely & food is incredible. My dad & I are celiac & have never tried a croissant as good as that one! The sandwich's are also our fav
A fine selection of gluten free breads, pastries & desserts. The quinoa bread we took home is superior to most gluten free breads we've tried. The pastries here give gluten free folks the opportunity to have the montreal "Chocolatine" experience.
I was so happy to find an all gluten free bakery! The almond croissant was amazing & the staff was super friendly! 😋 🥐
Literally, the best gluten-free croissant I have ever had in my life.
The croissant was the best I've had in my entire life & now I can't enjoy the croissant options in gluten free bakery's in my home city Calgary Alberta. Please open one here 😭😭 I'm ruined now because it's not even worth it to eat croissants in Calgary once you've had such a high quality one from Marquis!
Amazing gluten free croissants. So happy I can buy your product at few gluten free shops in Ontario.
