Had very nice French-Japanese meal at Restaurant Le Filet in Montréal Mile End neighbourhood. Food was excellent, ambience & service was good! Reservation recommended. Expensive fine dining restaurant, but food was good. Hope to visit again when in Montreal!
Top tier food & service. A fusion of Japanese & French cuisine. Highly recommended! Make sure you reserve a table a head of time as restaurant gets full quickly.

We had dinner as a group of 6 people & our experience was fantastic! The service is probably the best in Montreal amongst restaurants of similar calibre, the waiters/waitresses are incredibly friendly & attentive. Their oysters, black linguine, pork flank & tuna tartare are amazing. I definitely recommend it for everyone!
Amazing food & experience, our server Steven (& the rest of the staff) was very accommodating & friendly ! We are from our of town & we felt very welcomed! Would definitely recommend!

I have been to this restaurant twice (once for business & once for pleasure) & both times were excellent! The dishes are inventive, fun, & delicious; the staff is knowledgeable, courteous, & attentive. The portion sizes are just right for sharing. The desserts have not been overlooked & feature the interesting combinations that you will find in the rest of the menu. The location is great - right across from the park - & the view is nice. I would highly recommend it!
Excellente nourriture, préparée avec soin. Belle fraîcheur des aliments, belle sélection de vins au verre. Je recommande fortement le boeuf, les travers de porc, ris de veau. Pour la morue, j'en ai mangé de la meilleure ailleurs. Très fraîche par contre. Je trouvais qu'il manquait un peu d'accompagnement, de petits légumes.. ou bien les portions pourraient être un peu plus généreuses pour le prix que l'on paie.
Gros bémol : le service. D'une froideur rarement vue ! Quelque peu snob même ! Comme si le personnel avait mieux à faire, ou comme si on était pas vraiment important, peu de sourire. Pourtant, c'est ce qui fait que l'on retourne à un restaurant... & malheureusement, je ne sais pas si j'y retournerais.
Excellent food but very cold service !
Great selection of wine glasses, food is fresh. I recommend the beef, pork flank, sweetbread. For the cod, I've tasted some tastier than this, though very fresh. There could be a bit more vedgetables for the garnish or bigger portions for the price.
Big negative point : the service. Cold as you've rarely seen it ! A bit snobish too. As if the personal had more important things to do or as if we weren't important at all, lack of smiles too.. But this is why we go back to a restaurant, no ? We go to a restaurant for the food & the experience but we go back for the service. It's not like Montreal doesn't have a lot of good restaurants... Don't know if I'll be going back.
