Super belle découverte au Darling Bar. L'ambiance est vraiment agréable, l'endroit était plein lors de notre visite mais le service est resté rapide & efficace, ce qui est toujours apprécié. Le décor est funky, original & donne beaucoup de personnalité au lieu. Bref, un très bel endroit pour prendre un verre & passer une bonne soirée entre amis. Je recommande ! 🍸
J'avais boudé l'endroit à cause de leur propension à faire attendre leurs clients à l'extérieur pour rien.
Visite plus heureuse cette fois-ci, nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli dès notre arrivée. L'endroit est vaste, la décoration éclectique est particulièrement bien réussie, un mélange bohémien & vintage qui enchante la clientèle.
Vaste choix de bières (pinte à $9-$10 chaque), nous avons commandé une belle sélection de plats tous aussi bien réussis l'un que l'autre. Les frites sont maisons & goûtent vraiment bon. Mention spéciale au tartare également mais le plat qui a volé la vedette était celui de choux de Bruxelles, brillamment apprêtés.
Service gentil, agréable & enjoué, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le personnel allumé & à l'écoute.
Un sans faute pour cette sortie & nous endossons le Bar Darling pour une sortie entre amies, fortement recommandé.

Darling is a nice place to bring friends together. Service was good, water was always filled & icy cold. The food was okay. I wouldn't recommend the pasta it was cold & not much flavour. The burger & tartare were tasty, as were the brussel sprouts & focaccia. Drinks were okay too. The best part of our night was our waitress, MZ, she was a blast & very professional.
L'ambiance est super cool! La bouffe est bonne & les drinks aussi. Je recommande de faire une réservation comme il y avait un peu d'attente à l'accueil. J'y retournerais, surtout pour l'ambiance cozy mais festive!
Première expérience au Darling sur recommandation d'une amie & je n'ai vraiment pas été déçue! Le tartare de saumon est juste excellent, les frites superbes & le gin à la pêche délicieux, je recommande vraiment!!
Visited several times over several years, & always impressed, whether the table is 1, 2 or 4 people. Oysters, tartares, fries, wines & service always great. I recommend indoor for the decor (tho after dark Friday/Saturday, it gets younger/louder).
Darling is yet another example of a St.Laurent bar with an over priced menu & subpar service. I would recommend this place for the oysters & drinks but that's about it. The waitress was icy with our table initially but she brightened up over the evening & became more friendly which was nice. It was disappointing to receive the oysters after our appetizers were already served which lead to having basically no room on the table, the kitchen should work on their timing skills. We had the tuna'ceviche' & the'bruschetta'. The bruschetta was on fresh focaccia with sliced up cherry tomatoes on top of it with two of the smallest & saddest basil leaves I've ever seen in my life. It's crazy to call that bruschetta, it was a fresh tomato open faced sandwich at best. The ceviche was also confusing as it was 4 thinly sliced square pieces of tuna & some dressing on top. More of a crudo than a ceviche. We also had to kill a mud wasp that was flying around our table. 3 rounds of drinks each, 12 oysters & two appetizers for a whopping 160$ before tip 🥴
I was looking for a place for lunch & stumbled upon this restaurant. It was decorated beautifully with a bright & energetic vibe. Keep in mind if dining with children you will be seated outdoors. The food & service was top notch. We have the Hallomi sandwich & the Darking Club. Both were incredible. The Darling club we had gotten the combo which came with the cantaloupe salad that was to die for! Very good value for your money with top notch service & food. Highly recommend!

Bar agréable & très joli avec un beau menu de cocktails & de vins. Le service est bien, mais ça prend du temps avant de venir ramasser les verres vides. Sinon je recommande!
Ordered the Beef Tartakis. When I tell you my soul left my body, ascended to the heavens & came back to me with every single bite I took. I gave my compliments to the chef. Now I think about that meal almost every day & I don't even like mushrooms. 11/10 would recommend. Also took the Bellini Darling cocktail & it was pretty good.
So this review is long overdue as I've been coming here pretty frequently for the better part of 3 years because it has now turned into'my spot.' Over those 3 years I have brought everyone I know & have recommended this place countless times when I've been asked for a'Montreal vibe' of a restaurant & it's exactly that. Whether it's Monday or Saturday night this place is packed & rightly so + it doubles as a cafe in the morning with brunch on the weekends that smacks. The food has NEVER missed & I quite literally mean never, they have something for everyone + it changes & they have specials sometimes. The vibe is ever present & I know no better way of explaining it other than'it feels like Montreal.' The service also never misses & I thank Laurence for that, she's honestly been amazing every single time I've came. This isn't an add by the way*** I could go on but it's getting long. I just genuinely love this place so much & they deserve alll the business.
Glad a lot of people are giving good reviews, But I've got to give mine, the atmosphere is great, Things that were not meeting my expectations : - The table was sticky (On my side when I've arrived) I can't take this as an excuse, coming from someone who get to visits (Restaurants/Bar) almost every single day of the week, hygiene is a standard & a must. - Representation matters for any business, some waiter(s) need(s) to be better when interacting, don't roll his eyes up & when people smile to you at least try to reach some compatibility. The reason I'm not giving it 0, the atmosphere was kind of cool, location not far from my place neither my surroundings, but I would definetly not recommend for those who I know neither the ones who will be joining as visitors or tourists.
Les dimanches sont pour nos sortie entre fille. MARCO a été fantastique EXCELLENT SERVICE. Il nous a recommandé les plats choisi & ils étaient tous DÉLICIEUX. Tout est fait maison & ça se voit . A très très très bientôt
