Darling is a nice place to bring friends together. Service was good, water was always filled & icy cold. The food was okay. I wouldn't recommend the pasta it was cold & not much flavour. The burger & tartare were tasty, as were the brussel sprouts & focaccia. Drinks were okay too. The best part of our night was our waitress, MZ, she was a blast & very professional.

La bouffe & les drinks sont excellents. Décor & ambiance 👌
Les tables près de la fenêtre & de la porte à -20 c'est pas terrible, c'est toujours plein donc la porte ouvre souvent ! Arrivez tôt ou habillez vous chaudement
L'ambiance est super cool! La bouffe est bonne & les drinks aussi. Je recommande de faire une réservation comme il y avait un peu d'attente à l'accueil. J'y retournerais, surtout pour l'ambiance cozy mais festive!
My favourite place to bring people when they visit me in MTL. I don't know wth they put in their ranch sauce but its so good, & im not even a ranch person 😭 I legit book the place for every dinner/event I have to plan for. The drink & food menus are rotated frequently so you always get new stuff. Obsessed with their popcorn chicken & the honey foccacia.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday & I'm so glad I did. I chose this spot because it had a unique vintage, artsy bar-restaurant vibe - & it absolutely delivered.
The beef tartare was his favorite dish of the night
The steaks were cooked perfectly, rich & flavorful.
The burrata was fresh, creamy,& balanced beautifully with the rest of the plate.
& the drinks? Strong, smooth, & dangerously good.
Overall, the experience felt special, intimate, & thoughtfully curated - from the atmosphere to the food. Definitely a place I'd come back to for another celebration or a romantic night out. 🥂
Cozy, aesthetic bar which is now decorated for the holidays. We had to wait for about 30 mins outside on a friday night. But once we were, inside our server was quick with our food & drinks.

So I go here to celebrate my friends birthday. There is about 8 of us. We started off the night with our waitress getting upset about what table we were sitting at. Then my friend asked politely asked'is the kitchen closed'? The waitress then replied with'yes, the kitchen is as closed as can be', not only did she raise her voice but she also said it in a very judging tone. She said'the kitchen is very very closed there is no chance'. While saying this she was giving us attitude the whole time. The food & drinks were great, the service was sassy & rude.
Great spot in Montreal for coffee, brunch during the day, & drinks dinner in the evening. Very vibey, great for all occasions, dates, solo drinks & bites at the bar…
La nourriture & les drinks étaient bons, mais le service laissait à désirer & les prix me semblaient assez élevés pour ce que nous avons reçu. C'est dommage, car le cadre est très joli!
À la vue des prix, je m'attendais quand même à un minimum de service. Je n'ai meme pas pu commander tout ce que je voulais, car la serveuse est repartie avant même que je finisse de dire ma commande. Ça ne donne pas envie de commander autre chose quand on sent qu'on dérange. On n'aurait peut-être pas attendu 40 minutes en file sachant qu'on recevrait un tel service qui nous a franchement rendu mal à l'aise.
On est peut être mal tombé, car l'hôtesse qui nous a reçu était bien plus serviable & accueillante!

This bar is on my top list of recommendations for anyone visiting the city. Everything about this place is unique & I haven't find another place that quite compares! Staff is attentive but don't bother you to keep ordering if you just want to have one drink & spend time there, which was much appreciated.
Really charming bar with a nice crowd. The staff is nice & really gives you time to order, drink/eat, no rush at all which is so appreciated. The food & drinks were good, I'd come back for sure.
One of my favourites places to go to whenever I'm in Montreal! I've been for brunch, dinner & late night drinks until closing. Service is always great, food is tasty & the drinks are SO good. Literally let the bartenders make whatever drink they want & I've yet to be disappointed.

Great spot. Friendly & attentive staff but not to the point they are annoying. Both drinks were fantastic & the food delicious along with a great atomsphere.
Darling is yet another example of a St.Laurent bar with an over priced menu & subpar service. I would recommend this place for the oysters & drinks but that's about it. The waitress was icy with our table initially but she brightened up over the evening & became more friendly which was nice. It was disappointing to receive the oysters after our appetizers were already served which lead to having basically no room on the table, the kitchen should work on their timing skills. We had the tuna'ceviche' & the'bruschetta'. The bruschetta was on fresh focaccia with sliced up cherry tomatoes on top of it with two of the smallest & saddest basil leaves I've ever seen in my life. It's crazy to call that bruschetta, it was a fresh tomato open faced sandwich at best. The ceviche was also confusing as it was 4 thinly sliced square pieces of tuna & some dressing on top. More of a crudo than a ceviche. We also had to kill a mud wasp that was flying around our table. 3 rounds of drinks each, 12 oysters & two appetizers for a whopping 160$ before tip 🥴
