Review Summary

Le Cartet Resto boutique is a beloved brunch and breakfast hub in Old Montreal, offering a warm, lively atmosphere, friendly service, and a broad menu that balances hearty, indulgent dishes with healthier options. The Canton dish in a skillet, duck confit eggs Benedict, salmon tartare, and robust pancakes are frequently praised, along with Nordic and health-conscious choices and a strong coffee program with specialty beverages like maple latte and peppermint mocha. The setting accommodates both indoor and outdoor seating with a cozy, vintage feel, and it tends to be busy on weekends but remains a reliable place to start the day. Service is described as attentive and professional, though some guests note longer waits during peak times and prices that are on the higher side for the portion sizes. Overall, Le Cartet Resto boutique comes across as a dependable go-to for locals and travelers alike, delivering consistent quality, an inviting ambiance, and a brunch or breakfast experience that many look forward to repeating.

Stylish interior, nice atmosphere & service, food was great. Coffee (important to me) was excellent as well. Had Eggs Benedict. Honestly, you won't regret it.

Open cafe with great breakfast. The scrambled eggs with asparagus & goat cheese was delicious. Lots of cafe drinks to pick from as well!

What a cute cafe in montreal! I forgot what the name I got, but it was an eggs benedict with smoked salmon. It sounded so good all three of my friends & i got it & it was so good. Our waitress was very sweet & kind & gave us recommendations. I got the orange chocolate coffee & although i asked for it iced, it did come out hot, but nonetheless it was still really good hot. Would recommend coming!

On a Saturday morning, when the autumn sun grants beautiful Montréal with a golden light, Le Cartet has a lot to offer. The salmon version of the Benedict eggs is balanced & generous. The tempranillo red wine seems to come directly from Barcelona.

Amazing food & service, best poached eggs I’ve ever had. Also, they removed
Meat & salmon upon request for vegetarians.

We had brunch. The menu started the eggs came with greens but we were pleased they had changed to fresh fruit. Our server was excellent.

Great spot for breakfast/brunch. We were able to make a last minute reservation for a party of 6 (including 2 kids).
Service was fantastic & very prompt. We even got a surprise curtesy portion of scrambled eggs for the youngest one, who was very hungry.
We ate at the outside patio & the ambiance was very nice.

An interesting experience. This restaurant was not what I expected. The menu items were unique so not your typical eggs & toast kind of place. You cannot make any modifications to the menu so I was stuck with scrambled eggs. My eggs were served on a hot skillet so they were really overcooked. The meat was good. The food was overall tasty but coffee is not included so that would be nice to include. Also you have to pay extra for jam. Be ready to spend 30$ on breakfast for 1 person. I might go back & give it another chance.
