Across the reviews, Le Café Big Trouble comes across as a lively, quirky cafe with a warm, welcoming vibe and a strong brunch and coffee scene in Montreal. The coffee is repeatedly praised, along with generous portions of pancakes, avocado toast, sourdough breads, breakfast burritos, and other playful dishes, many showcasing homemade touches. The atmosphere is described as fun, relaxed, and visually engaging, with eclectic décor, a friendly staff, and occasional music or projector moments that add to the experience. It is often called a hidden gem and a reliable spot to start the day or grab a quick bite, with several mentions of great service and good value. A few drawbacks appear: service can be slow or inconsistent during busy periods, some visits noted long waits for food, and a couple of comments about price or ordering options. Overall, Le Café Big Trouble is seen as a standout brunch and coffee destination that delivers on flavor, vibe, and community feel.

Legally Blonde & Pancakes 🥞 . Perfect start to my birthday. The pancakes taste just like my mom's but with a zesty blueberry twist. I enjoyed every bite of nostalgia. Service was warm & friendly. Favorite restaurant in Montreal, will always come back here when I visit
Such a fun place. The food was wonderful & homemade. I had the pancakes & they were amazing! Service was really friendly & the music upbeat & fun. Loved the quirky decor & whimsical vibe. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love this place. As a big fan of Turbo Haus, it's obvious they're related because of the effortlessly cool decor & vibe. Staff is lovely & menu is fantastic, they have specials which at the time I went was carrot cake pancakes that were to die for. Highly recommend!
Awesome little brunch spot! Staff are super friendly & welcoming with great service. The pancakes are top tier, would highly recommend! My friend was torn between the breakfast burrito & the pancakes but ended up choosing the burrito so they gave him a complimentary pancake on the side, free of charge. Loved that they were playing The Addams Family on a big projector screen too 🖤 Will definitely be going back.
Vibes were immaculate - friendly staff & super welcoming. Pancakes were godlike! Well worth the windy & icy walk down the hill for me as a soft Vancouverite.

Hands down the best food I've eaten at a cafe in the last few years 🙏 I returned several times over the week to sample multiple menu items including pancakes, Lox platter, breakfast burrito, grilled cheese, & chicken sando.
The Lox platter was a very generous serving & great flavour in the latkes, the pancakes were decadent, the burrito was a surprisingly amazing combination of flavours, & the chicken sando hands down the best meal with the homemade cesar dressing.
They serve perfectly balanced Cortado's & their filter coffee was very refreshing.
When I return to Montreal this will be the first place I return to!
Very cool. We had no idea of what to expect but it was just fantastic! The staff was fun & laid back at the same time. The one server created such a fun vibe with her singing & getting into the music that I found myself singing along. Very cool. & the pancakes -- incredibly delicious!
Visited Montreal last week & went here on a whim… SOO glad we did! Their big breakfast was simple yet incredibly delicious! My partner had the pancakes & I forgot to take a picture, but he really liked them as well. The staff were very friendly & the vibe was cool & cozy. Looking forward to coming here again on our next visit 😊
Loved the vibe & atmosphere here, the food was absolutely amazing! The folks who work here clearly have a passion for what they do & it shows. The pancakes are a must! Also their sourdough bread was phenomenal!! Definitely check this place out for a delicious brunch & good vibes!
Such a great cafe with some of the best pancakes & brunch items I've had. Staff is very friendly & has awesome acoustic musicians playing there especially during POUZZAfest. If you're down here in May for Pouzza it's a must to go for hangover food, or tired from no-moshing at Turbo Haus food if you're not a drinker.
