Le Café Big Trouble appears in reviews as a cozy quirky cafe with a lush plant filled vibe and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere; the staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive. The brunch and coffee are the stars, with pancakes and sourdough bread often highlighted, avocado toast praised for its generous portions, and dishes like burritos and sandwiches earning solid marks, while the coffee program is noted for balanced cappuccinos and tasty lattes. Portions are generally generous and prices fair, making it a reliable spot for a quick bite or a longer hangout. Some comments mention occasional slow service or wait times and a desire for online ordering to streamline the experience. Overall, Le Café Big Trouble is seen as a standout Montreal brunch destination and a cozy hub for locals and visitors alike, delivering memorable flavors, good value, and a welcoming ambiance, even if every visit comes with its own small hiccups.

We love this cafe! Its a must for breakfast every time we visit Montreal. The service is great, the food is delicious, the coffee is excellent. The decor is irreverent & eclectic in that uniquely fun montreal way. Good vibes for days.
Café Big Trouble on St-Denis is a solid spot for a quick coffee stop. The cappuccino was really good, nicely balanced & well made. I also had a breakfast sandwich, which was decent & did the job.
Overall, the food was all right & it's a good place to grab a quick bite & coffee when you're in the area. Worth stopping by if you're on the go.
Highly overrated. The food is délicieuse. But that s about it. The worst coffee in my life. I had a cappuccino, changed for a regular Coffee Just to realize the Coffee is bad. The older server was rude. The only reason not only one star for service because all the Others are very friendly. Atmosphere ist ok, but the pictures look much nicer than in reality. So, it is a No Go.
Hands down the best food I've eaten at a cafe in the last few years 🙏 I returned several times over the week to sample multiple menu items including pancakes, Lox platter, breakfast burrito, grilled cheese, & chicken sando.
The Lox platter was a very generous serving & great flavour in the latkes, the pancakes were decadent, the burrito was a surprisingly amazing combination of flavours, & the chicken sando hands down the best meal with the homemade cesar dressing.
They serve perfectly balanced Cortado's & their filter coffee was very refreshing.
When I return to Montreal this will be the first place I return to!
I'm a regular customer one time every week I take a coffee & read & actually I like the terrace to do that plan, this week I asked for a burrito which was a greatest option for a good breakfast. Their americano is amazing & there's a raspberry & lemon muffin that is wonderful.

I really enjoyed this little cafe, everything about it exceeded my expectations. The coffee, the food, the vibes & the staff were all great. I had to take the time to leave a review so other people can find it :)
Amazing vibes & excellent coffee. Kayla & Sergio were awesome & were able to fit our group in on a busy Sunday morning with no stress. Their sourdough is amazing!!!! Highly recommend for great coffee & brunch
A fun, quirky cafe with some great staff who work hard to keep it going!
This was our first visit to this cafe & it was quite a pleasant surprise! The food & coffee to kick off the day was exactly what we needed. The breakfast potatoes were unreal & the breads I understand are baked daily (the sourdough was perfect).
This is a fantastic place for a brunch. We tried different brunch specialities & all were delicious. The home made sourdough bread is very tasty & they have a broad variety of vegetarian & vegan dishes.
The atmosphere was nice & relaxed. There were families with children as well as young people & a few older ones. & everyone seemed to enjoy. The service is also really friendly & offered us different kinds of milk for the coffee.
Le Café Big Trouble, a monument for the best parts of Myrtle-Broadway in an otherwise pastoral morning environ. Delightful, full of juxtaposition. Their coffee gives enough vituperance to walk all the way back to Bushwick, & their food will fill you happily for the ride.
