Cajun. Créole. Gumbo. Jambalaya.

Incredible food & great service. We had the spinach & artichoke dip, crab cakes, & coconut shrimp to start, & then the seafood jambalaya & chicken paneed. Every dish was 10/10.

Delivery: jambalaya was good, wish they replaced the zillions of mussels with different seafood though. The shrimps were nice.
Friend chicken was disappointing, too salty & slightly charred.
Bread pudding was delicious. Perfect texture & sweetness with that sauce even after travel time.

That spinach dip !!! So good I've been thinking of it ever since ! The gumbo broth was amazing found it could have used a bit more meat. Jambalaya seafood was pretty good liked the muscles & shrimp were nice & big. Id definitely go back for that dip & the muscles :)

This place was very tasty! We first came for a friend's birthday & had an amazing experience. The service was top notch & our waitress was fantastic.

We came back a second time with my husband to treat my brother-in-law & it was just as great. We ordered the mussels, blackened fish, steak, & jambalaya. Everything was absolutely delicious. & those killer spicy spiked lemonades? So good we're still talking about them.

Just like our first visit, the service stood out again. Our waiter was friendly, fun, & super attentive. The bar has a great vibe & we loved the open kitchen setup, great touch.

The food was extremely good, wish I could give it a 4.5. Jake was amazing, attentive but not annoying. He was helpful with my questions about where they get their andouille sausages. The hush puppies were perfect, so was the spicy dip. Meat jambalaya was great, nice & smoky & the right portion. Pecan pie was a good way to finish. The first sip of my mint julep was perfect, but I may have had all the bourbon there, didn't taste as strong after. Will 100% go back.

We used to love this restaurant & went back to our old neighbourhood yesterday just to eat there, but unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed. Although the atmosphere was still special & the service excellent, the food was underwhelming if not outright bad. We had the blackened chicken & seafood jambalaya, one of their signature dishes. The chicken was plain &, as one reviewer wrote, the only thing you could taste in the seafood jambalaya was canned tomatoes & tomato paste. There were two shrimp in the whole dish & we did not see or taste any fish. The presentation was basically just some food thrown onto a plate. Very sad that such a great restaurant with so much potential has been reduced to this.

Service was amazing & atmosphere was cozy, I will say though, the food was a bit underwhelming. My boyfriend got the Voodoo pasta which was pretty nice & packed with flavor. The drinks were awesome too.

The seafood jambalaya was straight up bad. I could pretty much only taste canned tomato flavor, it was so intensely tomato-y that I couldn't taste anything else. The muscles were tasteless & rubbery & overcooked, same with the shrimp.

Still ate it & didn't tell the server because I don't wanna give anyone a hard time. But I probably won't go back .

Jambalaya was excellent, & the steak & pasta were good, too. I would visit again.

Nice place & nice people but after reading all the great reviews, I couldn't wait to try their jambalaya. Fail across the board. It was just mushy tomato rice with barely any flavor, not even salt. I don't even remember if there was a satisfying amount of shrimp or andouille because I was just so surprised that they actually served us this. Maybe the mushiness was because it was days old & reheated more than once but that's even worse.

Looking for comfort food & lively place? Check out the folks at La Louisiane! YUM. YUM. YUM!!! So happy I was introduced me to this fantastic restaurant!! I recommend getting there early (5:30pm) because it gets packed later. Single stall washrooms with no labels is the most euphoric experience ever - BRAVO 👏 Hip playlist that had me pulling out Shazam every tune 🎵 Had me singing & dancing in my seat 🕺 corn bread was grilled SO good I've never had it like that before! Fried chicken, chef vegetables, Dino ribs & banana foster w/ Lemonade that had a cellulose straw 🤯 I even tried to eat the straw 😂 Everything was SO good I can't wait to go back! Other dishes I wanted to try like the mussels & fries, blackened fish, crab cakes looked good as I watched other people get their food! They do have gluten free pasta & jambalaya I wish I could have sat there & feasted all day 😊 The mural on the wall was lovely as well. I dig the vibe of this rad place 🤙🏻Service was attentive & everyone was so friendly & welcoming. I felt like I was hanging out with friends & was super at ease 🫶🏻

My wife & I came to this restaurant expecting something different. We both love Louisiana creole style food & figure this would be the place that would best represent. There's not many restaurants of its kind in the greater Montreal area so we gave it a shot.

I ordered jambalaya ($18) & my wife ordered the dinosaur ribs ($28). We also had a crab cake appetizer ($11).

The service was slow to begin with however the single waitress had her hands full & she did do a good job. The servers however were annoying, constantly cleaning our table that didn't need cleaning & taking away our plates without asking us. We had sweet potato fries remaining & he just took them away assuming we were done. He went so fast I didn't even have a chance to tell him.

As for the food. The crab cake app was good however way overpriced. It was 5 very small meatball size crab cake balls on a plate for $11?!

When our mains came I was a bit disappointed. My jambalaya was not really a jambalaya. Usually they are served in a bowl & just a mixed mess. They decided to separate everything neatly which made it look like a completely different dish. I had to ask the waitress if my plate was in fact what I ordered. Aside from that, the chicken was incredibly dry, I barely tasted any andouille sausage & the overall taste was not that of a jambalaya.

The dinosaur ribs my wife ordered consisted of 5 big bones with a bit of meat stuck on them. Honestly it looks impressive until you start seeing how little meat there is on these monster sized bones. The flavor was there but nothing special. For $28 you would expect more & not leave hungry.

My overall impression of this place was disappointing & I find the prices a rip off for what you get.
