Authentic Ecuadorian Cuisine - A Hidden Gem!
I had the pleasure of trying Ecuadorian food recently, & it completely blew me away! The flavors are rich, comforting, & full of personality. From the locro de papa, to the hearty fritata-cooked in spices, every dish felt like a warm hug from Ecuador.
The empanadas were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, & paired perfectly sauce. & don't even get me started on the tres leche cake - that was amazing.
What really stood out was the balance of ingredients - simple, but packed with flavor. You can taste the love & tradition in every bite. Whether you're already a fan of Latin cuisine or trying something new, Ecuadorian food is a must-experience. I'm definitely going back for more!Voir plus

As an Ecuadorian I know how hard is to get the ingredients to recreate all the most flavorful dishes of my country.
But I can say that this place makes me have nostalgia of my people & the amazing food from Ecuador.
Sadly I never have time to take pictures because I devour everything too fast!
I love the encebollado, bolon , empanadas & the juice that are 100% fresh & natural!!!
I hope that other dishes are included in menu soon!! Guatita, seco, hopefully crabs 😜

Honestly one of my top lunch spots in Montreal-if not the top. I've been coming to La Hueca for the past year & have tried a variety of dishes from their menu, & every single one has been absolutely amazing. The flavours are bold, authentic, & incredibly satisfying.
I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but I felt compelled because they genuinely deserve the recognition. The owner is super friendly, & you can order either in person or through their easy-to-use automated screen. I love that there's a picture for every dish.
From the beef Empanada, Locro de Papa, shrimp ceviche soup, to their sandwiches & bowls-everything is bursting with flavour. Pure magic.

The best Ecuadorian restaurant in Canada . We went there with my wife & my daughter & we love the quality of food food , the taste & experience brought me back to Ecuador. I remember trying fanesca typical food during April & it was best fanesca & empanadas I ever tried . I truly recommend for anyone !Voir plus

Thank you to the chef for bringing the flavours of home to Montreal. I love how the taste of Ecuador was delivered in a fusion style. There are little touches the Chef puts such as the sugar in the empanada that remind you of home 🏠 Overall a great food experience for a reasonable price. Extrano muchísimo la comida de mi Ecuador así que cuando vi que había un restaurante de comida ecuatoriana cerca a mi hotel, salí como disparada a probarlo. Me encantó la empanada de queso que compré y el senor que me sirvió fue muy amable. El menú incluye encebollado (eso probaré a la próxima!), salchipapa, bols con varias opciones de proteínas, sanduches y ceviche. Tienen varias opciones de sides, incluyendo patacones y yuca. The people & service was absolutely wonderful but I'm sad to say that as an Ecuadorian this did not taste authentic. The ceviche that were ordered was overcooked, super soft, mushy, & oily. The empanadas ordered were so oil the napkin was drenched & dripping in oil. The only thing that was good were the drinks & the bowls. Super disappointed with the rest.Voir plus
