The pre-made sandwiches are quite ordinary & not very impressive, but the custom-made bagels are really good. Simple bagels with cheese, cheese-honey-walnuts, or salmon are full of flavor. The coffee is excellent, & I especially like the wide variety of cheeses they offer. Overall, a good place, especially if you order a made-to-order bagel.
We found the bagels stale to be honest. The salmon & capers were nice & so was the sundried tomatoe cream cheese.
Friendly staff & great presentation, but the mountain of pre-made salmon/lox bagels was very off-putting & not great to taste. Not worth the $13
Had the salmon + avocado + dill spread bagel - fresh, creamy, & absolutely delicious. The egg & fromage bagel was also quite nice. Tried the blueberry + raisin bagel, which had a somewhat odd in-between flavor (neither sweet nor savory), but the strawberry + chocolate bagel hit the spot for a sweet treat.
Perfect place for a quick breakfast bite. Drinks are just so-so, but the bagels are the real draw.
Lobster bagel was amazing, smoked salmon capers were standard. Bagels itself were good but nothing special.
Apparently, I was supposed to have Montreal bagels when I visit Montreal lol . So I did. & I'm glad I did hehe
I ordered the classic Smoked salmon bagel sandwich. This was great. Simple. A little salty, a little creamy. It was a great start to my day. I think this was better than the smoked meat sandwich somewhere in the city ahem. Hubby had everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. He said it was fantastic. It was spicy as it should be. Yum yum
This has been my go-to bagel shop for lunch until now (Dec 2024), but they probably just lost a customer for a few reasons: I specifically asked for a "toasted sesame bagel with jalapeno cream cheese plus smoked salmon". Even though they confirmed my order with me twice (when I ordered & when I got to the cash), I did not receive what I ordered. My bagel was NOT toasted & I was charged extra cheese even though I got less cheese in my sandwich than I normally received in the past. If they advertised extra cost for the flavored cream cheeses, I'd be ok with the change... but they don't. This may be a one-off because I have normally enjoyed the food & service in the past, but if not.... Good bye!
The service was pretty good & the staff was friendly. I ordered the bagel with salmon & brie. Unfortunately the bagel was stale & the salmon was not fresh. The color on the tip of the salmon was on the darker side & the texture was a bit tough & dry. It's unfortunate as my past experience was good.
Was my first time in Montreal & I stayed in a hotel close to this shop . I was told my concierge to get the bagels from this place. I arrived in the morning & picked some bagels to go & also wanted to try to local favourite ( salmon & cream bagel). The person who served was polite & friendly . There were few options to pick from . I wouldn't say they are anywhere close to New York bagels but again I have just tried this place. They were still good though . The place wasn't busy so there was no wait time .
Delicious smoke salmon with sesame bagel & chicken with pesto. Friendly staff & decent coffee! Definitely recommend to try their bagels!
