Normally, La Capital's food is delicious, which is exactly why I recommended this restaurant for a large office order. This was not a random choice - it was based on good past experiences & the quality of the food.
Unfortunately, this particular order was a big disappointment for me. As mentioned, I ordered a cochinita torta & made it very clear that it should not include cheese, due to both intolerance & personal preference. Despite that, the torta arrived with a large layer of melted cheese, making it impossible for me to eat.
That's what made this situation especially frustrating: having high expectations based on how good the food usually is, & then not being able to enjoy it at all.
Again, I do want to highlight the positive side - the order for 12 people was handled very well in terms of organization, individual packaging, & name labeling, which I truly appreciate.
I hope this feedback helps improve attention to special requests in the future, because when things are done right, your food really is excellent.

One of our favorite meals in Montreal. They serve on classic Chinese-restaurant dishes to make a nod to their location in Chinatown. Their signature tacos are thick & freshly made with flavorful fillings (mushrooms & carnitas were our favorite). Guacamole was excellent. Recommend making a reservation because it's small & gets busy.
Had one of the best shrimp tacos here & the spicy salsa added spice to the party.
The servers are so welcoming & friendly.
Definitely visiting again & recommended this place.
La Capitol Tacos is a great location to get some midnight tacos on Saturday! It was located near my hotel in Montreal Downtown. Went in late on Saturday night to get some tacos. They open until 1am on Saturdays. Amazing food, amazing friendly staff. Visiting from Texas & I felt the taste was authentic. Prices is on the upper side since the location but it's worth it. Clean location. Recommended if you are in Montreal!
I would give this place an extra star if i could. Some of the best food ive ever had. The food was very authentic & the atmosphere was very homey as a latino. Workers were very nice & friendly. Highly recommend this place.

J'ai vécu 6 mois au Mexique & cela faisait longtemps que je voulais trouver un bon restau Mexicain. & je l'ai trouvé.
La nourriture est top, le service est nickel (merci Kyan) & les cocktails/boissons sont super aussi. Je recommande l'agua de horchata en soft & pour les cocktails la mezcalita habanera.

Le coloc de mon amoureux (ils sont tous les deux Mexicains) avait dit à mon chéri qu'il fallait qu'il aille là, que c'était le meilleur resto mexicain qu'il avait visité à Montréal... & ça fait quinze ans qu'il est ici quand même. Tous les deux, nous avons été soufflés par tous les plats que nous avons mangés, de l'entrée de pommes de terre grelots aux quesabirrias (nous en avons redemandé! Un pur délice avec la petite soupe à côté! Pas de bon sens!) en passant par les tacos. Comme c'était mon anniversaire, mon amoureux m'a payé la traite. Les cocktails (mon Margarita Jamaica & le sien, plus épicé, comme un Bloody Caesar mais avec une Corona que tu ajoutes dedans... je m'en veux d'avoir oublié le nom) étaient formidables aussi. Je n'hésiterais pas à recommander ce petit restaurant charmant (merci à Adam, notre serveur trilingue (au moins!) & tous les autres employés) situé dans le Quartier Chinois! D'ailleurs, c'était charmant de voir autant d'Asiatiques appréciant la cuisine mexicaine autour de nous. Un vrai bonheur & une explosion de saveurs!
Best tacos in town! Highly recommend the Pirata Quesadilla & the Quesadilla Oaxaca with pastor-absolutely delicious. & don't miss the Margarita Jamaica, it's divine!
Hands down my favourite find for tacos in Montreal, late night drive helped me find this gem with my friends. Drinks & tacos were absolutely delicious & I strongly recommend the birria tacos as they were so tender & the salsa was just fantastic. Strongly recommend stopping here for tacos when you are in Montreal.
