J'ai vécu 6 mois au Mexique & cela faisait longtemps que je voulais trouver un bon restau Mexicain. & je l'ai trouvé.
La nourriture est top, le service est nickel (merci Kyan) & les cocktails/boissons sont super aussi. Je recommande l'agua de horchata en soft & pour les cocktails la mezcalita habanera.

Going downtown means a must-stop at La Capital Tacos. I love their nixtamalized tortillas, they make all the difference when it comes to authentic Mexican flavor. It was a very busy day, but the service was excellent. We felt lucky to find a spot on their terrace & cool down with a delicious cocktail. I always come back I love the food & how the super friendly staff treats me.
I recently visited La Capital Tacos at 1096 St Laurent Blvd, Montreal, Quebec H2Z 1J5, & what a incredibly vibrant place it is! 🌮 You can really feel that the team here is passionate about sharing the rich culture & history of their cuisine. The staff is friendly & welcoming, which immediately makes you feel at ease. 😊

Le coloc de mon amoureux (ils sont tous les deux Mexicains) avait dit à mon chéri qu'il fallait qu'il aille là, que c'était le meilleur resto mexicain qu'il avait visité à Montréal... & ça fait quinze ans qu'il est ici quand même. Tous les deux, nous avons été soufflés par tous les plats que nous avons mangés, de l'entrée de pommes de terre grelots aux quesabirrias (nous en avons redemandé! Un pur délice avec la petite soupe à côté! Pas de bon sens!) en passant par les tacos. Comme c'était mon anniversaire, mon amoureux m'a payé la traite. Les cocktails (mon Margarita Jamaica & le sien, plus épicé, comme un Bloody Caesar mais avec une Corona que tu ajoutes dedans... je m'en veux d'avoir oublié le nom) étaient formidables aussi. Je n'hésiterais pas à recommander ce petit restaurant charmant (merci à Adam, notre serveur trilingue (au moins!) & tous les autres employés) situé dans le Quartier Chinois! D'ailleurs, c'était charmant de voir autant d'Asiatiques appréciant la cuisine mexicaine autour de nous. Un vrai bonheur & une explosion de saveurs!
J'ai eu l'assiette de tacos variés avec un cocktail. C'était vraiment pas cher & excellent, je comprends pourquoi la place est tout le temps pleine à craquer à toute heure de la journée. Cool spot de hanging & l'alcool est incroyablement abordable. À visiter dans le coin, mais il faut se prendre en avance ou se préparer à attendre un peu!

After having some dumplings down the block, My girlfriend & I walked pass La Capital Tacos. We were greeted by nice staff & sat at the bar. At the bar, Kyan the Bartender greeted us & recommended some special cocktails that were new on the menu. I had the Rosita Verde & it was amazing. One of the best cocktails I've had. Another one I ordered which I forgot the name, but what I can remember is that it was made with Actual Corn syrup & again it was amazing. We didn't get to eat any food here but seeing the staff run food to the tables. We got a peep on how it looked. Defiantly fresh & I'm sure it taste great! Thank You Kyan for your amazing service! We hope to see you again.
Le meilleur spot à Tacos à Montréal! Les tacos goûtent comme ceux que font nos abuelitas, fait avec amour & ça paraît que la viande est marinée à la perfection. Nous avons pris une quesadilla Gringa & une Quesabirria. La sauce qui accompagne la Quesabirria est juste parfaite, ça goûte similaire al caldo de res 👌🏽 comme Tacos on a choisi Al pastor & Ribeye avec l'option de tortillas maison! On recommande le cocktail Mescalita jamaika!
Good tacos in china town. Nice terrace. They have a couple vegetarian option. Their veggie tacos doesn't have the best texture but still decent! It's a soyrizo tacos Appetizers are really good! Really sweet team. Cocktails are insane, especially the habanero margarita!!!
Cute ambiance & music. The food is flavorful & they have good cocktails! It is a good taqueria for Montreal. The waiters are nice. The service was laking a bit. The restaurant was almost empty & it was difficult to get the attention of the waiters. Also, it is a bit expansive for the size of the dishes but it is kind of normal based on where they are located. *Take note: For lunch, they only had a small menu since they are expanding & trying a new menu. There was only 5-6 different items on the menu (see pictures) The items on the menu are flavorful! However, it is very limited compared to their evening menu.

Service: My friend & I went on mai 5th. We called in advanced cause it was late & we were worried about the last call time. The guy on the phone told us if we could get there in five minutes we could be served & we were only 2 minutes away by car & surly got there just in time or so we thought. We got there & were met with a guy who immediately rejected us & told us it was last call. ( the guy in the phone could've simply said "sorry we can't seat you at this time" but he didn't & we had to deal with the whole staff visibly showing how upset they were that their co worker accepted us so close to last call) I told him & showed proof on my phone that I just called 5 minutes ago & he eventually sat us. I am aware & understanding of the fact that there was a water issue in the area at the time so I wasn't expecting too much as far as the presentation goes cause we were told we wouldnt be served in regular dishes cause on the ongoing water issue but what we didn't expect was no effort at all. As you can see in the photo, no effort at all when it came to the garnish on the rim of the cup. Just messy. The service was TERRIBLE. The chips for our guacamole came in a paper bag & I asked our waitress for a paper plate so my friend & I could properly eat. She came with the plate & rudely threw it at our table. The entire staff seemed very annoyed & weren't welcoming at all starting with the guy at the door who told us we couldn't be sat & the wittress who had an attitude the entire service & threw a plate at us :/ The guy who gave us our bill tried to make our experience better & was nice. Food: for the entry we shared some guacamole & chips. The guacamole was okay, the chips were great. We both got the berria tacos for our main dish, portions were small (3 tacos) considering other restaurants serve (3) larger tacos for around the same price point. As far as taste goes, very average not bad at all. We both got cocktails that were good & a bit stronger than what other places serve YET the garnish on the rim was done with 0 effort. Again I understand the circumstances but there was just 0 effort put into it. We got a cake to go that I though was good & my friend thought was « not that good »
anything with the vegan chorizo hash is amazing! the quesadillas are pretty small (but at least the price is fair) so you might need two if that's the direction you go. cocktails are great too!
