Lovely ambience, very kind staff. The food was not too sweet like some other Thai restaurants that I know of. It was authentic & tasted the way it is supposed to taste, a true delight. I recommend this place. Thank you, from a South East Asian person. 🙏
I come here regularly, & it never disappoints. The food is full of flavor, always fresh, & beautifully presented. You can truly taste the care in every dish. The staff is friendly & welcoming, & the space is cozy without being crowded.
I highly recommend trying their Pad Thai or any of their curry dishes - everything is full of authentic Thai spices & cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, & the prices are very fair.
It's one of those places you want to keep to yourself… but it deserves to be discovered! If you're looking for a comforting, delicious Thai meal in a calm atmosphere, this is the spot. 🙌🍜🇹🇭

On est venus pour le mango sticky rice qui est très bon & on a essayé aussi le fried chicken sauce aigre douce & riz frit à l'ananas. Excellent! Très savoureux & portions généreuses. La salade à la mangue était aussi très bonne. Service impeccable, resto impeccable, je recommande!
Before entering this restaurant I was actually quoted saying I'm not a big fan of Thai food. I think I simply forgot about some of the quintessential dishes there are & this was a much needed reminder. The atmosphere at this restaurant was alright. Pretty average in truth; however, everything after that was amazing. We were in a bit of a rush & the waitress did such a great job to accommodate & was so helpful. The food was sensational; honestly I would go as far as to say'tres delicieux' as the Quebec would say. The Pad Thai & other dish pictured turned out to be the perfect pre MLS match meal (impact vs Orlando) & I would recommend it to anyone thinking about going to watch a game & wanting a bite of food beforehand… see you next time

I tried it again when they had a happy hour special & the food was amazing. The curry wasnt split, I asked for spicy & it was flavourful! The noodles were great, sweet spicy & sour, overall really comforting! I gave a four because I had small mistakes each time but then again, they were so nice polite & sweet on the phone I hung up with a smile. I recommend.
For the full authentic Thai experience (authentic Thai flavours, Thai-family owned, Thai Chefs, the genuine kindness of a service done by Thai themselves) in Montreal, I recommend Khao San.
& Khao San is really well located in an area with plenty of things to do around. I will come back to enjoy more of your great food, Khao San!
Excellent restaurant thaï très authentique. Si vous demandez que la salade de papaye soit comme en Thaïlande, elle sera très piquante ce que j'ai personnellement beaucoup apprécié, mais ne vous inquiétez pas, le personnel s'enquiert de votre préférence. Le cari vert est superbe ainsi que le laarb & le porc croustillant également. Je recommande!
Khao San Resto Thai is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. We couldn't stop eating & finished every dish we ordered. I highly recommend the Tom Kha Soup, green papaya salad, & red curry. They are all unique & full of flavor. If you are looking for authentic & tasty Thai food, this is the place to go. I wish I could lived in Montreal, so that I can go there every week!
I recently visited Thai Khao San & loved their papaya salad & mango sticky rice! The papaya salad was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, & spicy, with crisp green papaya & a satisfying crunch from the peanuts. The mango sticky rice was heavenly-soft, sweet rice paired with juicy, ripe mango & creamy coconut drizzle. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. Highly recommend for an authentic Thai dining experience!
Excellent restaurant Thai, le service est impeccable & les plats sont excellents. L'intérieur est peut être un peu plus humble, ( très bien décoré & propre) dans le sens où j'irai manger avec des potes mais pas un diner romantique. Je recommande
Authentic Thai food cooked by Thai chefs! I tried the papaya salad (ส้มตำ) with a side of sticky rice (ข้าวเหนียว), larb gai tod (ลาบไก่ทอด) & pad thai (ผัดไทย), which were all so good, like the ones I ate in Thailand. The pad thai is freshly fried & you can see the frying action live with bursts of fire (evidence of an amazing fried dish)!! For chilli lovers/haters, you can also customise the spiciness of your food by telling the staff when ordering. For those who love stronger & super local Thai flavours, I recommend ordering the papaya salad with salted crab (ส้มตำปูปลาร้า) & the papaya salad platter (ตำถาด) . The papaya salad with salted crab has more umami & a saltier flavour profile while the papaya salad platter features delicious side dishes like crispy pork belly (หมูทอด), Thai fish cakes (ทอดมันปลา) & a unique Thai fermented pork (แหนม). Both of these are not on the menu but they can cook it for you if ordered! Overall, my experience with the food & service here was superb, not to mention how the restaurant is conveniently located near berri-uqam station :)))

Service ultra sympathique & rapide. La serveuse était joviale & nous a fait des recommandations pour le menu. Pour ma part, je voulais un pad krapao (sauté au basilic & porc haché) & je le voulais le plus épicé possible. C'était épicé, & c'était très bon! J'ai pu goûté au curry vert de mon ami aussi & houlala... délicieux! Un tout petit peu cher à mon goût pour les portions qu'on nous a servis. Mais satisfaisit quand même.
Je suis sortie du travail avec une envie de pad thaï. Un peu par hasard, ma copine a choisi cette adresse. Quasiment 30 minutes de trajet, & bien je ne suis pas déçue. Nous avons pris la brochette de poulet en entrée, le riz frit à l'ananas avec du poulet (j'ai changé d'avis une fois sur place), & ma copine a pris le pad thaï. Vous connaissez cette sensation de redécouvrir un plat ? Eh bien, c'est ce que ce restaurant m'a fait ressentir. & c'est comme ça qu'on reconnaît un bon plat : quand il sait se réinventer. Pour le dessert, j'ai pris le riz collant à la mangue, & le goût du riz parfumé aux fleurs se marie parfaitement avec celui du fruit bien sucré. Je recommande chaudement. Le service était nickel, & l'ambiance assez décontractée. Franchement, j'ai envie d'oublier le goût pour recommencer. (J'en ai eu pour 60$ pour 2 & nous sommes « remplis »
I gave this place a bad review but I went there to eat this weekend & the food was definitely much much better! I guess I had them on a bad day on uber eats! I just changed my review & recommend this place! Traditional taste like when I was in Thailand. I gave 4 stars just because my first time was bad with small portion. I guess uber eats they serve smaller portions? Or maybe they upped the portions. Thank you for improving the food! Thank you I really enjoyed my food this time!
