Walked in randomly before leaving mtl, had ordered the pad gra prao, it wasn't first time trying this dish. Large portion, excellent price, very well balanced dish. Nice & spicy, salty, the egg cut through the intense seasoning. Also ordered their Thai milk tea which was super.

Le resto en lui même est très ordinaire, & il fait froid à l'intérieur. Le pad thai est passable: une grosse assiette de nouilles trop sucrées & à peu près pas de légumes dedans. L'entrée de crevettes frites ne goûte que…la friture. Passez votre chemin.
Absolutely amazing Thai food! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor & clearly made with care & fresh ingredients. We had the Tom Yum soup, chicken pad Thai & red curry. Portion sizes were perfect. The customer service was outstanding-warm, attentive, & genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. They helped me bring the stroller up the stairs when we arrived & when we were leaving. The atmosphere was cozy & inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. Great food, great hospitality, & a great overall experience. Highly recommend & will definitely be back!
Real authentic Thai food. They were so warm & welcoming just like how it is in Thailand. Coming made me feel like i was back in Thailand again. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for some real Thai food. I had the papaya salad extra extra spicy 🥵 the chicken wings were nice & crispy. The pad thai was on point
Visited Montreal with my girlfriend for couple days & this is the only place we went to multiple times. Food was top notch, service was always friendly, if you like Thai food & don't come here it's unfortunate. We got the spice level above medium & asked for the spice powder on the side. We ordered the red & green curry, stir fried basil, & pad see ew. Absolutely cleared it up

Excellent Pad See Ew, I'm always looking for a Thai place that hits as good as food in Thailand & this is pretty close. My only complaint is I wish this was closer to where I lived. Can't wait to try out the other dishes
I really enjoyed my time at khao san restaurant! I ordered the pad see ew & devoured it, because it's that good. In addition, I got a Thai green milk tea, so refreshing & good I can drink this all day every day! Lastly, the server was very welcoming & friendly.
My wife (Thai) & I (American) had lunch here today & it was the highlight of our day in Montreal. I lived in Thailand for 4 years & my wife (who has been cooking the best Thai food for me for the past 50 years) thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. We had Nam Tok, Som Tum & Pad Si Ew. All was delicious but the Nam Tok was superb, maybe the best I've ever had!!! When we travel we try to stop at a few Thai restaurants along the way. We are usually disappointed. I can count on one hand the excellent Thai restaurants we've been to in the past 50 years & this is one of them. The owner & staff were super friendly too.
I come here regularly, & it never disappoints. The food is full of flavor, always fresh, & beautifully presented. You can truly taste the care in every dish. The staff is friendly & welcoming, & the space is cozy without being crowded.
I highly recommend trying their Pad Thai or any of their curry dishes - everything is full of authentic Thai spices & cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, & the prices are very fair.
It's one of those places you want to keep to yourself… but it deserves to be discovered! If you're looking for a comforting, delicious Thai meal in a calm atmosphere, this is the spot. 🙌🍜🇹🇭

Delicious Thai food at a very competitive price. Pad see ew is one of my favourite Thai dishes & this is the best I have had in Montreal. You can taste that it was cooked with skill in a ripping hot wok. The Thai tea was rich in flavour & a great addition to the meal.
Tried this place recently & honestly wasn't impressed. The pad see ew lacked any smoky wok flavor-it tasted flat. The pad Thai was a bit better, slightly above Thai Express quality, but still just okay.
The beef was very tough & hard to chew, & the tom yum soup had almost no flavor-bland & forgettable.
The best thing I had here was the Thai milk tea-sweet, strong, & refreshing.
We had the spring rolls, pad kee mao & pad see ew & requested it to be spicy. The flavors were perfect. It's the best, authentic Thai food that I've had in a while. The service was very friendly & quick.
I was in Montreal for the weekend & had Pad Thai from three different restaurants. This was the best, by far! Very flavourful, delicious, & a generous portion. The vegetable spring rolls were excellent too. & the price was very reasonable. I'll be back!

Amazing food & service as always xx pad thai noodles were top notch, the best texture ive ever tasted. The tom yum soup had the right level of spice & sourness, big portion too🥰

Before entering this restaurant I was actually quoted saying I'm not a big fan of Thai food. I think I simply forgot about some of the quintessential dishes there are & this was a much needed reminder. The atmosphere at this restaurant was alright. Pretty average in truth; however, everything after that was amazing. We were in a bit of a rush & the waitress did such a great job to accommodate & was so helpful. The food was sensational; honestly I would go as far as to say'tres delicieux' as the Quebec would say. The Pad Thai & other dish pictured turned out to be the perfect pre MLS match meal (impact vs Orlando) & I would recommend it to anyone thinking about going to watch a game & wanting a bite of food beforehand… see you next time
