Le restaurant Keung Kee est situé sur la rue La Gauchetière au coeur du Chinatown de Montréal. C'est un des restaurants les plus authentiques, qui vous sert une excellente cuisine chinoise et cantonaise. On dirait tout simplement que les plats sont sortis directement d'une cuisine en Chine! Le personnel se fera un plaisir de vous servir dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale. Soyez assurés que famille et amis y passeront un moment inoubliable!
Keung Kee est une institution de la cuisine cantonaise à Montréal, offrant des saveurs authentiques avec des portions généreuses et de nombreux plats servis rapidement et chauds, en particulier les fruits de mer et le boeuf chow fun, ce qui en fait un choix fiable et abordable dans le quartier chinois; l’expérience suscite des éloges pour des plats savoureux et bien préparés mais des critiques occasionnelles sur le service, allant d’un personnel chaleureux et efficace à un service rude ou impersonnel, et quelques remarques sur des plats parfois trop salés ou une décoration peu élégante, mais l’ambiance animée et la constance du rapport qualité prix encouragent beaucoup de clients à revenir.
The food was good , the food came out fast. The services was quite disappointed . The server he quite at age but he was giving attitude when we were asking for recommendations on the menu & were taking in & out options when ordering but we didn't really mind it
I've been coming to this place for many years & it's still one of my favorite chinese restaurants in the Montreal area. We go rarely because we don't live or work downtown anymore but was happy to see prices are still decent & the quality is still great.
We searched for a more UK style restaurant & found this place. Very busy with both locals & tourists. Food was ok with large portions so don't overdo order. Friendly enough staff but not the most engaging.
The food is very delicious, fresh, & full of flavor. It is a wonderful spot with a diverse menu that truly offers an authentic Chinese dining experience. I had an enjoyable time & will definitely go back again for sure.
Really good Cantonese food. Get 185 beef stew in hot pot! It comes with bok choy. It's beef brisket in a rich beefy sauce.
I asked about allergens in Chinese & the server sort of indicated non-verbally none of the dishes I ordered contained peanuts.
However, I recommend you be extra cautious here if you have allergies. The dishes I ordered are ones I am familiar with so I didn't expect there to be peanuts anyway & asked as an extra precaution.
Servers gave us ample time to go over the menu & when I was ready I just made eye contact & they came over. I sat close to the cash.
I showed the server images of photos of the food I wanted & he understood. Bill was very reasonable & food came fast! They kindly packaged my food for me to go home & I went up to the cash to pay by visa. :)
42. Scallop ($10 per scallop with vermicelli) - tasty! I don't think there is butter but it's delicious. The vermicelli is so garlicky but light. Tender scallops.🤤

185. Beef stew in hit pot (Ngau lam Bo)- ❤? absolutely delicious. A few bits of melted, almost jello-like beef tendon. Sits on a bed of bok choy. I will return just for this dish.

Our group of trio had the 4 person dinner with came with a plate of chicken, beef & veggie, deep fried fish, & sweet & sour pork. A big bowl of soup & rice were also included, but alas, no red bean soup for dessert. Excellent value & good tasting Cantonese style food for less than $70!
A local favorite that serves authentic Cantonese food that is characterized by using fresh ingredients & flavor it lightly. Seating area is tight. The kitchen is able to cook the orders relatively quickly.
Excellent food & good ambiance. The customer service is very bad, if almost non existant from my experience. I will probably go back & update if anything changes.
The general tao is good but a little bit spicy 🌶? & good portion overall.

Authentic Cantonese eatery with old school style service, portions & the tastes that I remember as a kid. Restaurant has AC & clean, but nothing fancy. High value & hit the spot. Must eat when strolling through Chinatown!
Toujours bien reçu, les plats sont bons & le prix raisonnable. Grande plage horaire disponible. Le service est correct, même si la langue française n'est pas toujours d'actualité. Ambiance conventionnelle pour ce type de restaurant, parfois un peu bruyant. Reste à l'un de mes restaurants favoris dans le quartier.
They have the best fried rice I've ever had. Their other dishes such as general tao chicken, stuffed tofu or orange beef are also good, but the seafood fried rice is truly the star.
However, they use disposable plastic table cloth, which produces a lot of plastic waste.
