sauce(54) cheese(46) chicken(39) soup(35) pork(35) udon(34) recommend(27) curry(27) japanese(26) sweet(26) crispy(25) rice(23)Pretty good food & the quantity was great for the price. Only thing is that I ordered a homemade limonade & there was some dark crumbs in it, when i ask to replace it the second one had the same thing.. & the ice cream on the menu is the commercial ice cream like at the hospital, in small prepackaged cups…
100/10 so good. Massive takoyaki (I'm not exaggerating) & large portions for the $ I would definitely come back. Wonderful staff.
Amazing Katsu. Very filling & worth the cost. The staff is friendly & the ambience is cozy.
The staff were friendly & the food was tasty
The miso soup is refillable & honestly it was really flavourful
I've been here 3 times already & I'll definitely be coming back again
Just a heads up:
some of the katsu portions are big enough for two people & are perfect for sharing
not as good as katsu in asia but overall, this place is one of the top katsu restaurants in montreal
Hum first of all, they play ads of their own restaurant on their TVs in their own restaurant. Like... 🦍 But anyways.
I ordered the japanese tonkatsu pork loin for 18.95$ + tax + tips. The meat was cooked nicely & breaded nicely. It had 6-7 pieces of freshly cut meats for me to enjoy & taste. The meal also comes with a mortar & pestle (pestle & mortar) where you can grind the seeds to drizzle the sizzle on the rizzle. It also came with rice (nice) & a sauce for the meat. Now, let me be frank, the sauce, not really it, too sweet & feels like it takes away from the meat experience. The cabbage was too shredded, this causes the cabbage to be harder to pickup'individually', picking a bit of the cabbage ends up picking 60-70% with one pinch. I have to poke at it to get the desired amount. Furthermore, this also causes the cabbage to hold more water as it can't drain the water efficiently which waters out the taste.
The service was great. We were seated promptly & the waiter & waitress were nice & served us nicely (nice).
Now, the elephant in the room, our seating. Oh my chillies, we were seated next to the entrance & the cold freezing blizzard frosty air was whipping our table like a frost monster from Freljord. Not cool (lol).
Anyways, 4/5 stars
Their fried chicken cutlets are all about thin skin, without that heavy, floury texture, making them incredibly refreshing. The chicken thigh skin is fried until it's paper-thin & crispy, & when you tear it open, the inside is bursting with juicy goodness. Paired with a touch of wasabi, it's simply divine!
The fried pork cutlet is their signature dish. It's ridiculously thick. The breading is incredibly crispy, while the meat inside is as tender & juicy as melting snow. Every bite is a satisfying crunch, & the cheese filling inside is so stretchy & delicious-a must-order!
Freshly made katsu, perfectly crispy, great portions, what's not to love. Had to rose katsu the sauce was rich & spicy really enjoyed it!
C'etait un des meilleurs Katsu que j'ai gouté.
J'y reviendrai définitivement.
Amazing customer service, amazing food, & it came super quick, recommend it for anytime & anyone
The atmosphere was really nice. Since it was my first visit, I was a bit confused but the staff were friendly & explained everything well, which I really appreciated. The curry katsu & the japanese katsu were both crispy & delicious & they pair perfectly with the house lemonade. If you're looking for a Japanese style katsu restaurant, I think this place would be my number one. It also seems like the only truly authentic Japanese katsu spot in Montreal.
The food was superb, & the location is very accessible-near Guy-Concordia Metro. We will definitely go back again. 😊
poor customer service
especially that one female worker
don't go here😂
Menu is a bit of a hit or miss… I did like my pork curry, but my friends didn't enjoy their original & Japanese chicken ones. The appetizers - honey fries, shrimps & karaage - were very underwhelming. Portion sizes were good.
Wanted to try Katsu & this establishment was recommended by my sister in law.
There's lots I different meals to choose from. A few appetizers also available. We had the snow cheese balls(3) for an appetizer, which is breaded crab meat with cheese. The main meals were Sweet Chilli Katsu & a Pork Curry Katsu.
Both came with shredded lettuce & rice & were of decent portions. The whole meal was good!
Decent sized dining area, probably about 80 seats. Clean & very relaxing atmosphere. Service was very good! They accept cash & major credit cards. No dedicated parking so parking on the street could be a challenge.
Overall a very good supper experience. Would recommend.
I thought it's the only one authentic katsksuya in Montreal (I haven't found other ones)
J'ai pris à emporter & c'était tout simplement délicieux ! Le poulet est si croustillant c'est un régal 🤤 Sauce généreuse & gourmande. Je recommande.
