Review Summary

Reviews describe Jay Bhavani Vadapav as a casual, welcoming spot that serves authentic Indian street food with a strong focus on vadapav, misal pav, dabeli and other vegetarian snacks, often praised for bold spices, fresh chutneys and a comforting, homey vibe that makes diners feel transported back to India. The atmosphere and service are frequently highlighted as friendly and attentive, with many praising quick, helpful staff, but some visits mention variable service and occasional impatience or slow response during busy periods. The food is celebrated for its authentic flavours, vibrant textures and good value, especially the vadapav and pav bhaji, while a few dishes like tawa biryani or certain breads receive more mixed reviews for texture or consistency. Jain and other dietary options are appreciated by guests seeking specific restrictions, and the menu's vegetarian emphasis is described as well executed, with frequent compliments for chaat items, paneer creations, and spicy Indo Chinese offerings. Some feedback notes portions can be small for the price and occasional parking or accessibility hiccups, but overall the place is regarded as a reliable go to for Indian street food in Montreal with several items repeatedly called must tries and a vibe that many say brings flavors of back home.

Thanks to Nikunj bhai & team 5 star for the food, vibe & fun. Jay Bhavani is a gem if you're missing the real taste of Indian street food.
The flavours instantly take you back home. Their Schezwan fried rice & noodles are packed with bold, spicy flavour, perfect for anyone who loves that Indo-Chinese kick.
Misal Pav was spot on too (Mumbaikar here) , flavourful, spicy, & comforting. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, & service was quick & friendly. The vibe is casual, but perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. Definitely coming back to try more from their menu whenever I'm back in Montreal. Love from PEI

The food is good. Many Jain options as well. We had Vada pav, Schzewan fried rice, Hakka Noodles & Gravy Manchurian all in jain. The taste was nice. Vada pav could have been better but still good than any other place i found in US. The noodles & rice were on point & bit spicy.

Service is something i was bit disappointed with. They could do better. Just with 4 tables occupied & food still took 25 minutes. I understand they have to clean pot & make jain food but still.

Awful food. As a Gujarati, I'm really happy to see Jay Bhavani in Montreal & was very excited to try this. I'm travelling from Ottawa with family. My kids used to enjoy hakka from Jay bhavani etobicoke but I wish I could say the same for here. It was very spicy. We advised to make it mild but it wasn't. It was really spicy. The worst part was the argument by Kashyap, the employee. He mentioned that we asked for mild & didn't mention that it was for kids. wish them good luck for future but they need lot of improvements. PS: they didn't charge us for those two items but we got stomach burn for kids.

We had Hakka noodles & cheese garlic sandwich for take away. We asked to make noodles very less spicy but still it was spicy...taste was average...cheese garlic sandwich was very greasy & again very average.

Vada Pav & Dabeli is good. I just love Spicy food. Suggestion: There should be an option to make it more spicy. Otherwise overall the food was good & nicely priced. Thank you Team ❤️❤️❤️
