Hands down the best restaurant we've been to in Montreal. From the chic decor & vibrant atmosphere to the impeccable service & incredible food, Jatoba sets the bar high. Chef Olivier personally attended to us, offering a chef's recommendation menu that allowed us to sample some of the finest dishes on offer. Every plate was a delightful masterpiece, showcasing extraordinary flavors & culinary skill. Highly recommend Jatoba for an unforgettable dining experience.
About a couple of weeks ago, my friend & I had dinner here to celebrate my milestone birthday. We ordered several different dishes & they were all excellent; the food was a highlight! Delicious, creative, & good-sized portions. Where I was disappointed was in the cold service of our main waiter. The other wait staff (who refilled our water & cleaned the table between dishes) was great. The main waiter was efficient but strictly business, nothing more. When my friend told him it was my birthday & that he wanted to make my dessert special, it's as if the waiter didn't register it at all or didn't care to. We ordered from the dessert menu & were served it regularly while other tables (including the one literally right beside us) received sparklers in their desserts for their own celebrations... ☹️ Thankfully, the food made the night. Compliments to the chef ❤️because what struck me was the play with texture, which many restaurants forget about. It is this attention to detail that really elevated the food for me.

I really don't know what to say. It's my favorite restaurant in Montreal. The chef is not even Japanese but is SO talented. Every single dish you order is just 100% good. The vibe & ambiance is the best. It's considered a fancy restaurant. The service is impeccable definitely pricey but justifiable. The drinks are so gooood. The manager is the best. 👌
La nourriture était divine! La morue, un délice. Super beau restaurant. Les cocktails était délicieux & très original en bouche. Mais très décevant au niveau du service! Les bossboys, les suiteurs, l'équipe de soutient faisait très bien leur travail, par contre, le serveur, c'est un des pires services que j'ai eu dans ma vie. C'est décevant de manger aussi bien, mais d'avoir un aussi mauvais service. Guillaume n'était pas du tout attentionné. Je suis serveuse & sincèrement j'ai vraiment été déçue. Mais merci au chef & au reste de l'équipe pour la nourriture succulente & la belle ambiance générale du restaurant.
Jatoba est un de nos classiques préféré. ON hésite toujours a essayer de nouveau restaurant mais pour s'assurer que tout soit parfait on retourne toujours au Jatoba.

Aucun défaut. Juste la perfection! Bouffe sensationnelle : faites confiance à votre serveur (ou bien chercher Félix, c'est le meilleur !). Service impeccable, même le chef Olivier est venu deux fois à notre table. Décor sublime. Valet parking.... Juste wow

From the moment I stepped inside, the restaurant exuded an ambiance of elegance, sophistication, & warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. Each dish was a harmonious blend of flavors, textures, & visual presentation, taking my taste buds on an exquisite adventure. The talented chef's creative use of fresh, specially sourced ingredients was evident in every bite.
The food was superb, & we were treated to a culinary masterpiece. The ginger lobster was divine, & the caviar wagyu dumplings were the single best dumplings I have ever had in my life. The service was excellent, with the perfect balance of attentive & interactive. The head chef, Olivier, was incredibly personable, & we will most definitely come back again.
Toujours à la hauteur. Plats succulents & que dire du service tant le valet service, hôtesse & serveur(euses).

By far, my favourite restaurant in Montreal. It's very hard to resist to their Dim Sum - I always return their for that as it's easy to crave them.
Friendly & professional staff, the chef is extraordinary, the ambiance ans decor sophisticated & trendy. Simply the best place in town for business dinner or just to have a delicious dinner with friends.

Wonderful atmosphere. Sat at Sushi bar & watched the chefs make the sushi we ate. Made for a fun experience. Food was very tasty. We tried Octopus Dumplings, Blue Fin Tartare, King Salmon Roll & Beef Tataki. All had wonderful flavor & plating was great. Really enjoyed.
Olivier is an incredible chef. The food was presented beautifully & tasted even better. Each dish was unique, thoughtful & exceptional. Excellent restaurant.
