I tried the CHAMPI… 🍄🥪, & it was delicious! 😋 The mushrooms 🍄, toast 🍞, & sauce 🥣 were amazing 😍. I'm not usually a fan of the eggs 🥚, but I tried them & they tasted good 👍.
The mashed potatoes 🥔 were good, but they would've been perfect 😋 with a bit of butter 🧈, pepper 🌶?, & a little more milk 🥛. They were a bit dry 😅-would be so much tastier!
The cappuccino ☕ was okay, the grapefruit juice 🍊 was fine, but the service 👩?🍳 & the ambiance 🎶 were really great.
Overall, 10/10 💯, definitely worth five stars ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?!
Had Champi, eggs, mushrooms on a bread with cheese, mashed potatoes, yummy, with pear blueberry mimosa 😋🤠 great service, liked the decor🤩

Jamais déçue! Qualité/prix/taille des assiettes très bien. Le menu ne contient pas des pages & des pages d'options, mais il y en a pour tous les goûts, & les options sont très originales. J'ai un penchant pour le Latkes, mais la dernière fois j'ai opté pour la Champi. Les deux un délice. Leur jambon est excellent aussi!
Spectacular place for brunch! Janine offers ample seating (although it gets busy rather quickly). Service is very fast & friendly. Food tastes absolutely amazing - & we had different meals, such as the oeuf & boeuf, the gruau (oatmeal), the champi (raclette cheese toast with sautéed mushrooms). The capuccino & the matcha latte were delicious too.
What a wonderful cozy intimate & gorgeous brunch cafe in Verdun! Our friends group decided to meet there & we were super impressed with the cozy decor of the cafe ❤?❤? I had the Toast Avocat while my friends had Chic Croissant & Champi along with coffee & let me tell you - from the way the food was presented to the taste everything was just perfect 😇😇 So so delicious & our full compliments to the chef 🙏🙏 The staff is also very gracious, welcoming, & always ready to answer any questions ! We would like to give a shout out to Janique as she was very attentive & always on her feet 🙏🙏 At some point we were also given fruit punch/ fruit shots made of ginger, beet, orange & it was very very good 😇😇 However, anyone who comes here must must try their Carrot Cake! We got ours to go as we were running out of time but we definitely opened the box & once I actually ate it at home, each bite was a gourmet's delight ❤?❤? A heavenly bliss !! Looking forward to trying the other items on the menu 🎉🎉Cannot recommend this 11/10 brunch cafe enough to anyone who wants to relax with family & friends & get the best service & food at the venue 😇😇
Un superbe brunch chez Janine à Montréal ! Le service était chaleureux & attentionné du début à la fin. L'oeuf écossais était particulièrement réussi : parfaitement croustillant à l'extérieur & bien savoureux à l'intérieur, un vrai coup de coeur. La toast aux champignons mérite aussi une mention spéciale - riche, parfumée & très bien exécutée.
Seul petit bémol : le grilled cheese, dont les saveurs m'ont paru un peu ordinaires. Rien de mauvais, mais moins mémorable.
Dans l'ensemble, une excellente adresse pour un brunch gourmand.
Short walk away from a popular yoga studio. Popular brunch spot which can get crowded over the weekends. Got the Champi because of the mushrooms. Was surprised by the cocktail shot of the day. Good service!

Notre serveur était attentionné & gentil. L'assiette déjeuner avec jambon effiloché était moins goûteuse que l'assiette de déjeuner avec champignons. Le café au lait était délicieux. Le décor était jolie & même le petit pot de sucre était trop mignon.

This place has such a lovely vibe & is definitely one of my favorites. The brunch menu offers a great variety of dishes, with plenty of tasty options for vegetarians. My father especially enjoyed the flavorful courgette bread! I also loved the Champi, it was super tasty & perfectly done. We visited for Mother's Day this time, & it made the occasion even more special. Highly recommend for a relaxing & satisfying meal.

I tried CHAMPI, the pair of bread & mushroom is amazing( switch the egg to scotch egg is highly recommend, it will bring out more flavor with the combination)
My partner & I have been here twice & absolutely loved it! The flavors were incredible, everything we tried was delicious & full of unique taste. We especially loved the Champi & the Latkes. Can't wait to come back again & again!

L'accueil était très chaleureux, le service un des meilleurs. J'ai commandé Champi comme plat principal (pain, champignons sautés à la creme & à la sauge, 2 oeufs pochés, patates maison (une sorte de purée), coulis de poivrons) avec un cappuccino. C'était consistant, mais je trouve que les champignons ont dominé tout le repas (& moi, j'aime manger des champignons). Je propose de réduire la quantité pour un quart & potentiellement ajouter une boule de patates de plus pour équilibrer le goût.

Très belle déco...1 seule serveuse Très gentille mais débordée...j'ai commandé un café qui n'est jamais arrivé mais c'était facile à comprendre. Pour la nourriture j'ai commandé'le champi'...des toasts avec des champignons en sauce...malheureusement fade. Ma chaise le bras décollait à chaque fois que je bougeait, j'ai eu l'impression de payer que pour le décor.

Un resto déjeuner plus élégant qu'on en a l'habitude. La cuisine est raffinée mais les prix restent égale à la compétition. Les portions sont généreuses. L'endroit est calme & bien décoré. J'ai pris le'Doré aux pommes' qui, malgré son look, est assez léger. Une portions suffisante d'extra chocolat qui semble être fait maison pour 3$ d'extra. Ma copine a pris l'assiette'Champi' qui, évidemment, avait beaucoup de champignons mais à un point où ça devient lourd. Le cappuccino est un peu plus cher que la moyenne mais bon. Point bonus pour le petit smoothie offert à l'arrivé. Une endroit à essayer & même à retourner.

Always a great brunch time at Janine! I had the chicken waffle sandwich, it was amazing with a bacon marmalade. I have been previously & shared the Croque Madame & Champi Toast. Both great choices. The pricing is also quite fair for these plates. You come out quite full. The service is always good with the little juice shot at the beginning. Only downside is the wait outside especially in winter. It is worth it though.
Never got disappointed by Janine nor the sister branch Régine Café, I have been a loyal customer for years & fav dish is Champi, simply love mushrooms! Also I adore the bowl of matcha latte, it's always so warming in winter. I tried all items on their menu & they also offer chef's new inspiration dish or seasonal dishes (ex: sugar shack dish at spring), really good! Avoid going in the weekend because of crazy lineups (yes I have done lineups too & they sometimes would serve us a bit of snacks while we are waiting). The interior decor is really chic & the ambiance is really great, not to mention the outstanding good service. They always start by serving us the juice of the day for free (little cup), & it puts me in good mood right away. Highly recommended brunch restaurant :)
The turmeric latte was really good. I had a plate called latkes, & I really like it. It was light & delicious. My friend had champi, it was good she said. But the courgette bread was not so good. The place is great but the wait could be stressful
