I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Jack Astor's in Laval (Centropolis). I made a reservation for seven people to celebrate my daughter's birthday, expecting a pleasant family dinner, but the evening was filled with one issue after another.

To begin with, there was a fly in my drink. Our food service was slow, & some items were forgotten entirely. What made this especially frustrating was that the restaurant was not even busy at the time.

The biggest issue came when it was time for my daughter's birthday cake. After asking twice for cake service, our waitress returned visibly upset & informed us that the cake had been dropped. She apologized & told me I would not have to pay for anything, offering a large dessert instead. I declined the dessert & simply asked for the discounted bill so we could leave.

After waiting another 20 minutes, the staff unexpectedly came out with what appeared to be the same cake, now lopsided &'fixed.' I found this unacceptable & unsanitary. By that point, my daughter-the person whose birthday we were celebrating-had already left because she was so disappointed after being told her cake had been dropped.

To make matters worse, when I expressed that I should not be paying given everything that had happened, one of the servers responded by saying they would call the police. What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into a stressful & upsetting experience for my family.

We got placed in a table were there was no waiter placed to serve us. We waited 30 minutes plus another 10 minutes after the lady told us she was gonna bring us a waiter.

Excellente expérience ! La nourriture était délicieuse, fraîche & parfaitement présentée. Le service de Zarah était chaleureux, rapide & attentionné.

Pour moi & ma conjointe qui somme très habitué d'aller dans des restaurants pour nous c'est notre première & dernière fois: très difficile de trouver du stationnement, l'ambiance est correct mais sans plus, nourriture fade, service ordinaire manquais souventce quon demandais, cocktail comme leur bloody césar le pire que jai goûter a date verre de vin a plus de 22$ qui n'affiche pas le prix & qui n'a aucun sens comme prix & pour finir oblige le clients a donner 18% de tips qui devrais être illégal donc clairement je vous recommande d'aller ailleurs qualité prix clairement pas bon 1000× mieu le jack flat pour le meme prix

On est rentrés, on s'est fait asseoir à la terrasse & on a attendu un bon 30 minutes sans aucun signe de vie. Je me suis levé pour aller aviser la serveuse à l'entrée qu'on n'avait toujours pas reçu le minimum, soit un verre d'eau, & j'en ai également informé un autre employé sur le chemin.

Après un autre 10 à 15 minutes d'attente, toujours aucun signe de vie. En quittant, nous avons seulement eu droit à un « désolé ». Aucun geste, aucune compréhension de la situation, aucune tentative de se rattraper, juste un « désolé » & au revoir.

Ça fait dur en maudit.
