The food was great but still too hot for people not used to red pepper. It would be great to have 2 options: hot & not-hot-at-all because spices are nice, but red pepper & too much ginger make it impossible to enjoy food to the fullest.

Hello,
I have been to your restaurants many times. Last night everything went well. One small feedback, we were asked to sit at the bar to finish our wine & coffee as we were over the 2 hours that is allotted per table. This was fine. But after this point & the server asked us to close our bill, we weren't even checked on once to ask if we would like anything (not even water) or if we would like to order more wine...nothing. Our service ended at the table, once the bill was paid it was like we were no longer there in the restaurant.

Downtown Montreal has been due for a great Indian restaurant for ages (since Curry House on Bishop closed ages ago) & you deliver. Very minor imperfections: drink order took far too long to place & receive & the samosas were very disappointing (pasty & just not very good). Everything else, from the tapas to the biryani to the cod to the aloo gobi & tarka dhal were outstanding. Carnivores & vegetarians & even those of us with dairy allergies were over the moon in your fabulous restaurant. The server was polite & competent & very pleasant. The ambiance was so chill & trendy & simply perfect. Will recommend & return.

Had 3 starters, chicken, lamb & salmon. The same sauce for all 3. Felt it could be more subtle. Not sure the sauce goes with all 3 dishes.
Butter chicken excellent.
Chicken Tikka Massala he'd no taste, chicken was dry. Stomach upset all night.
I am British, it's the number one dish served in England. A big disappointment.
I will go again, just make different choices.

Great food & interior, but awful service. I really liked the food & concept of an Indian fusion restaurant. Our waitress took 30 minutes take our order (even for drinks), & didn't bring napkins & salt after we had requested them. Extremely slow service & not that many people there. She got upset after I left a low tip. For a higher end brunch I'd expect much better service.View more

Par rapport au service, plusieurs points à améliorer. Un service rapide où le serveur ne prend pas le temps. Il est parti rapidement avec l'apéro de mon mari qui n'était pas terminé, sans demander. Plusieurs miettes sur la table, sans faire un petit ménage... mais il connait bien son menu.

Décor élégant, ambiance feutrée par bougie & jolis luminaires qui aurait pu être plus agréable. Nous tenterons peut-être une 2e visite mais cela ne sera ne se fera pas un samedi ou irons sur Mt-Royal. Ce fut 350$ dépensés sans discussion calme, trop de bruits. Plats pas aussi savoureux que lors de notre dernière visite sur Mont-Royal. Dommage car belle réussite déco & design pour le restaurant. Serveuse était dépassée un peu, mais elle fut agréable & a pris le temps de nous servir avec courtoisie & sourire.

Hi,

I want to be as sincere as possible as this was my first time going to an India Rosa restaurant. I made a reservation for 5pm as the spots were taken quickly, the reservation states that the time limit is 2.5hrs. Unfortunately - my part of 3 & I arrived late. As we were stuck in traffic, I tried calling 3 times without luck. Each time i was placed on hold or my call "dropped" meaning I had to call again. On the 4th try, someone finally answered & mentioned it was fine, & to keep in mind we have 2.5 hrs. Absolutely understandable & appreciated at that point.

Once we arrived, there were 3 people by the hosting area & we were ignored until my friend approached one to say we had a reservation. With an attitude, the hostess replied "I told you over the phone by 7:30, we have a reservation at that table." .... ok. Comment, in her tone with an attitude..... not necessary.

We were 30 minutes late, when seated, we were only brought 1 menu. Just 1. We asked for another one & again, another hostess said with an attitude "I said I'll be right back" for us to not see her again. We were late 30 minutes, how could the hostess or whoever prepares the menus NOT have some ready in hand? Why the lack of preparations when the restaurant was not that full. We were trying to be cordial with the time frame that was repeatedly mentioned to us & now we have to wait for menus?

I had to ask the waitress who looked over-worked & exhausted. She did a great job getting us all that we needed at the best of her abilities. Inclusively, she was kind enough to re-do our receipts as we split something in the menu. Even there, I could tell the waitress was frustrated but she dis it gracefully either way.

It's unfortunately that the first people we encounter at your restaurant seem to be overly pretentious, exude poor mannerism/customer service & lack team work/efforts as the waitress had to finalize the job they should have initially done.

The food was awesome. The decor is beautiful. The servers, exceptional. The hostess truly ruined a potential 5/5.

Great service. Very knowlegeable staff, & bartenders. Food is very good & well priced. The Naan & rice are a little over priced though. The rice portion is quite small for what you are paying.
