The brunch is also really exquisite which is a modern twist to Indian food. I had the fried naan with chickpeas for brunch. For dinner, I got the garlic naan with butter chicken- the butter chicken is really creamy & delicious. Also got mango lassi which tastes good as well. I recommend this restaurant.View more
Beautiful facility & huge windows in a trendy restaurant! We ordered several dishes & the next was even more amazing than the first. Butter chicken was the show star as well as the lamb chop with mint sauce.View more
Our party of four ordered the onion bhaji (superb), tandoori mushrooms (nice kick of spice, the filling was surprising & unique, definitely a must order), pani puri (was expecting more like the streetfood dish but this version was way less wet & super creamy!), & a selection of mains! Tandoori chicken was my fav of the 4 we tried. Also got the chai lemonade & it was so boldly spicy & sour! Server was a sweetheart & was so kind in indulging my broken, rusty french. Highly reccomend!View more
Very trendy & modern restaurant but food is mediocre! We ordered chicken butter, tikka & madras they lacked taste, they were made with thighs not even breast meat & quantity was tiny. We are used to authentic Indian food with lots of herbs & spices. We ordered many plates to share but they were all bad. The sheesh kebab entree & Naan were good tho. It's the second time I try this resto but it's my last! Service was very good.View more
I tried the chicken & waffles, & the presentation was stunning. The sauce had a hint of Indian spices, which made perfect sense for a fusion Indian brunch spot. The latte was excellent, & the server was friendly. The atmosphere was a nice & fancy yet reasonable price. It's a great spot to hang out with friends or for a dateView more
We came on a Monday (during holiday season) & we usually come for the brunch (which is only offered on weekends). Since it was during the holidays I thought they might be offering the brunch (wishful thinking). So this review is for their non brunch menu. Anyways, the dishes we ordered: chicken tikka tandoori- it was super tender & beautifully presented, the Lamb Kashmiri - super flavourful & the malai kofta was like an Indian style gnocchi- I found the sauce to be creamy but not so spicy/flavorful but this was more a dish for my daughter. The cheese naan was great too. Service was attentive, our water was filled without asking & she checked in on us every once in awhile. The decor at this location is so colourful & love the high ceilings. Overall just a great classy place. It is a bit on the high price for Indian food. But with great service & ambiance it's worth it. One thing I did notice was that their sauces weren't "heavy" or greasy as in some of the mom & pop Indian restaurants.View more
It was my first visit to this spot. It is a trendy, tapas based beautiful spot with a great vibe. Our waitress, Anna, was amazing. She knew the menu well & provided great suggestions for us to order. They have a great cocktail menu. However, my cocktail, the Jaipur, was the only disappointment of the evening. It had a smokey flavour which overpowered the whole cocktail. The lamb chops in the tapas section recommended by Anna were absolutely scrumptious. Perfectly cooked & juicy. The cod was also very good with a tasty chutney served with it. We also had samosas & a soup. As a main, we had the chicken Tikka Masala which was good. We had a great night out in a hotspot in Griffintown.View more
This place is aesthetically very pleasing! The service was good, the drinks were great! however there was a disconnect of food expectation. If you are a party of 10 or more, there is a pre-fix menu - which is fine. However the pre-fix menu is 1 item for person. For example, we were a party of 10 so we received exactly 10 samosas. Exactly 10 pieces of chicken. There is no option to receive more. If you like your food spicy, this may not be the place for you. The chicken tikka was sweet & the dal makhani had the right flavor. Again, this was a pre-fix menu. If you are less than 10, your experience may be different.View more
Some dishes were a hit like the mushroom entree & the tandoori tikka chicken but some were a bit underwhelming like the aloo going with giant pieces of cauliflower & the subpar samosa. Butter chicken way too sweet. The crème brûlée cardamom was fire but extremely overpriced.View more
Great ambience with mouth watering delicious food. The appetizer ( chicken tikka tandoori) presentation was well done. I can't wait to visit montreal again & be here. The quality & taste is worth every penny you spend.View more
Positive experience. This time around the music was lowered to a decent level so that we could converse. Food was delicious (chicken tandoori & lamb chops with garlic nan. Would pass on the lentil soup). The cardamom creme brûlée for dessert was wonderful. Recommended.View more
Great service, highly recommend the chicken & waffles, or the butter chicken Benedict. A bit pricey, & the dishes could have used a bit more sauce, but definitely still recommend!View more
I had a unique experience with Indian cuisine in a nice ambiance. I tried the butter chicken for brunch, which was served with poached eggs- an absolutely astonishing combination that exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich & perfectly balanced. The staff were incredibly kind & helpful adding to the overall excellent experience. Although I didn't try any drinks, those served to other guests looked impressive & well-prepared. A must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy Indian cuisine with a creative twist!View more
I ordered the chicken madras, very little flavour & heat, really was just a regular curryView more
The food is average but the prices are on the higher side. The biryani didn't hit the mark-it tasted more like pulao, with an unexpected overload of chat masala that doesn't belong in traditional biryani, leaving the chicken bland & flavorless. The chicken korma, however, was decent, & garlic naan was enjoyable-both soft & crispy. Cocktails are pricey, & while they're decent, they're nothing beyond what you'd get at a typical restaurant. Come for the ambiance, but don't expect exceptional food.View more
Fantastic Indian brunch menu ! Lots of flavor, quantity, presentation & freshness. We got the sweet waffles with grilled pineapples & chicken & masala waffles. We wanted to order everything on the menu. Service was great, no long wait time, waitress took time to explain us the menu. Restaurant is clean & spacious & beautiful decoration. Would definitely go again! It was a perfect brunch dateView more
I think it is the most stylish & trendy Indian restaurant in town. The ambience is chic & open. The golden accents & wallpapers of exotic trees & birds take you to another dimension. The food & drinks are delicious as well, but not on par with the ambience. I ordered the butter chicken & naan & it was delicious. Totally recommend it for a date night or a hang out with friends over some tasty drinksView more
The place is really nice. It was a great ambiance when we got there but then it got loud very fast & we had a hard time hear each other talking. Both the appetizers & cocktails were excellent & unique for an indian restaurant. However we were disappointed with our main course( butter chicken & korma lamb), it lacked flavour & spices for indian food, the butter chicken was not chicken breast & everything was lukewarm.View more
I recently went for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend, & we had a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional across the board-every dish we tried was delicious. We ordered a selection of tapas, the biryani rice, & butter chicken, all of which were spot-on. The only small critique I have is that the garlic naan could have used a touch more salt, but it didn't take away from how much we enjoyed the meal. When we mentioned to the waitress that we were celebrating our anniversary, she surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a great experience, & I highly recommend it!View more
Brunch was good, I have the chicken & waffles & it was good. rest in my group have sweet waffles & french toast. All of the meal where good. Nothing wrong but nothing extraordinary imo. I know everything is expensive now. But I don't think the price is justified. $7 for a chai. $9 for a small orange juice. No kids portions or meals. $28 for chicken waffles.. $180 for 2 kids + 2 adults 1 non alcoholic drink each.View more
I took my friends who were visiting from out of town to India Rosa, & they were really impressed with the food quality & vibe. We shared three dishes: butter chicken, curry cod fish, & a potato & veggie dish. Each came with rice & naan, & the portions were generous. The cocktails were excellent, & the service was good. Overall, great value for the experience!View more
Really nice spacious place, staff was great! The butter chicken brunch option is literally the best version of butter chicken I ever had, chicken was cooked perfectly & I could have buckets of the sauce. Loved the onion naan too!View more
Amazing Butter Chicken (we ordered with a side of rice & garlic naan bread). We can't wait to come back & try some more of their delicious cocktails!View more
India Rosa is a gem! From the moment you step in, the vibrant decor sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu is a delightful journey through India's culinary landscape, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors & creative twists. The butter chicken is creamy perfection, & the samosas are crispy bites of heaven. The staff is warm & welcoming, adding to the restaurant's charm. Whether you're a spice lover or prefer milder tastes, India Rosa has something to satisfy every palate. Don't miss the refreshing mango lassi - it's the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!View more
The atmosphere was great. Real nice drink selection. We stuck to the tapas menu. Potato patty's were over worked but the flavor was all there. Chicken was great. Tandoori paneer was ok. On another visit I'd get into the curry's which I have a feeling would be better.View more
The presentation was great, the food & the atmosphere were not. The paneer was beyond dry & served with an overly spicy sauce. The butter chicken was made with poor quality chicken & the biryani was average at best - something you would expect to find at a local food court. But what made the experience absolutely unbearable was the overwhelming amount of flies surrounding every table. Customers across the restaurant were visibly annoyed as they had to swat flies during their entire meal. We came here because of all the positive reviews, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.View more
It is a bit expensive but worthy it. Not familiar with indian name of dishes, the curry actually comes with lamb, I asked them to change to chicken. Good spicy I really enjoyed. Friendly staffs, decent meal.View more
We visited the place fir lunch with group of friends. The food tasted really good although the portions were on the small side for the price. The ambiance is really nice & welcoming. The service was not very professional, I expected more from a place with this price range. I recommend the Indian beer but stay away from the chai. The butter chicken is really well prepared, which I cannot say for the most of the Indian places in the city.View more
Started off well with an amazing aloo tikki, crispy potatoes accompanied by light & refreshing vegetables. The rest of their dishes were equally well-made. Butter chicken was creamy with a developed spice profile, not too hot, with moist chicken & nearly edible on its own. It paired well with their garlic naan, steamy, airy, tender, with an appropriate amount of garlic to not offend the butter chicken. Their tandoori chicken was unique, very onion-forward & sweet, & a bit of a lighter curry.View more
