TLDR: Overall, portion sizes felt quite small for the price. The food didn't quite live up to the upscale image & decor the restaurant presents.
I was previously disappointed with brunch at the Griffintown location, but decided to give the Brossard location a try for dinner.
The space itself is modern, clean, & visually appealing. The atmosphere is welcoming, but quite loud, which made conversation a bit difficult at times.
For food:
The shrimp biryani tasted a little off - possibly because we ordered it mild.
The butter chicken (their signature) was average & comparable to what you'd find at more casual, lower-priced restaurants.
The Goan cod was the highlight: flavorful sauce, well-cooked fish, delicate & easy to eat.
The Kerala seafood dish was unfortunately the most expensive & the most disappointing - the sauce was watery & lacked flavor, & the seafood felt like a frozen mix (small mussels, shrimp, & calamari).
Service was also on the slower side, & it was difficult to get a waiter's attention.
In the end, the experience felt a bit pretentious relative to what was delivered.
Every once in a while, you come across a restaurant that doesn't just serve food, it delivers a complete, memorable experience. This is one of those places.
I come from a strong cooking background & tend to be extremely particular when dining out, so when something impresses me, it truly stands out. This meal didn't just meet expectations, it exceeded them across the board.
We ordered the Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan, Lamb Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, & Calcutta Shrimp, & not a single dish missed.
The Lamb Vindaloo was exceptional. Easily the best I've ever had. The heat was perfectly calibrated, present but refined, allowing the depth of flavor to shine through without overwhelming the palate. The lamb itself was unbelievably tender, cooked to perfection.
The Butter Chicken was nothing short of remarkable. Rich, velvety, & deeply flavorful, with a texture that quite literally melts in your mouth. This is the kind of dish that sets a benchmark.
The Calcutta Shrimp brought another dimension, bold, aromatic spices layered beautifully, with shrimp cooked flawlessly. Every bite was balanced & intentional.
What really says everything, even after we were full, we couldn't stop. We ended up adding more Butter Chicken to our leftovers & took the Malai Shrimp, recommended by our waitress, to go. That recommendation alone was spot on.
Service was outstanding, attentive without being intrusive, prompt, & genuinely knowledgeable. It's clear the staff understands the menu & takes pride in guiding the experience.
The ambiance ties it all together, modern, stylish, & inviting. It creates the perfect setting for the kind of meal this is. The only minor note, & it's truly minor, is that the lighting is quite dim in the evening, making the menu slightly difficult to read. A subtle adjustment like clip-on lighting would elevate the experience even further.
This isn't just a place I'd return to, it's a place I'd go out of my way for. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine executed at a high level, this is it.

Puis la qualité du poulet était ordinaire, il y avait pas mal de tirasse, pas très bon. J'ai souvent mangé du poulet au beurre dans différents resto indien & la viande était toujours impeccable

Indie Rosa in Brossard is a remarkable discovery. It's the first time I've found a restaurant that comes close to the refinement & finesse of the legendary Le Taj on Stanley Street in Montreal.
This is truly fine Indian cuisine. Each dish is distinct, beautifully prepared, & served in generous portions. The presentation is elegant, the flavors are carefully balanced, & the overall quality is impressive. The restaurant itself is beautiful, spacious, & very comfortable.
Service is impeccable - everyone is exceptionally polite, attentive, & welcoming. A special mention to Esther, who was very warm & attentive throughout the service, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Another major highlight is the abundance of vegetarian options. There is a real sense of parity on the menu, with plenty of choices for vegetarians, which makes the experience feel inclusive & thoughtfully designed.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the atmosphere related to sound. The music feels too commercial & clashes with the exotic, refined dining experience. It is also quite loud & echoey, which makes the room feel noisy.
That said, Indie Rosa stands out for the quality of its cuisine & is absolutely worth discovering. For me, it is the first restaurant in Brossard that truly evokes the fine Indian dining experience of Le Taj in Montreal.

Une belle variete de plats de Brunch. J'ai adore ce concept de cuisine Indienne Fusion Brunch. Dommage que ce resto & ce menu est seulement servi @ l'heure du dejeuner jusqu'au Brunch. Le resto n'est pas ouvert & disponible pour le souper. Merci pour le bel accueil & service. Au plaisir, Missy A.
La cuisine est excellente, les boissons super choix, mais dispendieux. Décor Ok mais très très bruyant. AUCUN respect pour les clients des que le café (6.00$) est servi, on vous invite à sortir pour faire de la place. On est loin des restaurants de classe avec petit attention, refile de café ... facture de 400$ avant taxe pour 4 on pourrait avoir plus d'attention. On pourrait profiter de notre repas jusqu'à la fin. 10 minutes pour finir le café ne serait pas trop. Nous y étions un samedi soir à 21 hrs, a notre sortie près de la moitié des tables étaient vides, ou l'urgence de sortir....
si vous recherché une ambiance feutré, ce n'est pas l'endroit, le verndredi c'est très bruyant, toutefois, la qualité de la nourriture, les cocktails sont à essayer. Une expérience que je vais refaire avec plaisi

Temps d'attente excessivement trop long, mais repas excellent. (1h avant de seulement recevoir nos breuvages)
Au départ, notre serveuse nous interroge sur l'eau plate ou gazéifié?…. ensuite elle disparait pour de bon. ( no where to be seen)
…. 40 minutes passent… à juste boire de l'eau…sans même apercevoir notre serveuse dans la salle.
La personne qui sert l'eau repasse pour la 3-4 ou 5 ieme fois. Nous l'informons de la situation, elle s'en désole & accepte de passer notre commande de drinks pour aider.
Puis un autre 20 minutes passent ….. toujours pas de serveuse …. pas de drinks non plus.
Face à notre désespoir, la serveuse de la section à côté vient nous voir.
Elle a fait preuve d'un excellent service à la clientèle. Elle nous écoute, nous comprend, elle s'excuse & nous a explique que le restaurant n'avaient pas prévu autant de clients, qu'elles n'étaient pas assez de serveuses & qu'elles sont débordées.
Ensuite, elle a remédié à la situation & a pris nos commandes. tout en assurant qu'on reçoivent ENFIN nos drinks.
Elle nous mentionne par la suite que notre serveuse reste notre serveuse initial & qu'elle a fait ça pour aider.
Un 10-15 min plus tard on reçoit nos drinks. Puis on finit nos drinks & une dame vient desservir nos verres vides & nous dit: « vous avez bien manger? » ………. Alors qu'on a même pas d'assiettes on a juste nos drinks …..même le staff trouve que ça fait longtemps qu'on est là hahaha 🤣.
Un 10 minutes plus tard on reçoit notre repas.
Puis soudainement notre serveuse initial réapparaît d'on ne sait où. Nous remerci sèchement de notre compréhension. Nous demande si il nous manque de quoi & quitte.
Puis nous l'avons revu à la fin pour nous faire payer la facture.
Nous avons adoré notre repas, mais malheureusement le service nous laisse un goût amer.
Nous avions pourtant appeler d'avance pour réserver une table comme c'était soir de spectacle au 10/30 nous nous doutions qu'ils y auraient beaucoup de monde.
On comprend que le problème vient de plus haut, soit le nombre de staff prévu.
Mais si notre serveuse nous aurait seulement adressée la situation au lieu de nous ignorer… si nous avions eu au moins nos drinks…
ou même si nous nous serions juste fait offrir du pain pour compenser durant l'attente déjà notre expérience aurait eu une toute autre tournure.
