Let me TELL you. Our server was SO gracious - he made our visit fun. We had the bacon cheeseburger & the chicken club (good!). The tables are close & everyone has luggage - it adds to the community vibe. It's gotta be tough to be an airport restaurant server - traveling doesn't bring out the best in people. BUT GET THIS: I forgot my phone when we left & our server came out into the airport to find us. Can you believe that?! We are forever fans!!! :DVoir plus

In general, I'd recommend having your meal before coming to the airport. None of the options in the American terminal looked great. We settled on this one. They're not in a hurry to attend to customers, starting with attending the entry. The sign says wait to be seated, but you'll wait several minutes for someone to come seat you. Our TA was near the entrance, so I witnessed this over & over with people waiting while we ate.
The food itself was decent, but pretty bland, even by my standards. Like any airport, the food is overpriced, especially for what you get. They also only have Pepsi products for soft drinks.Voir plus

It is pretty difficult to mess up fries & chicken fingers, & yet..... I have no compunction about calling them out bc as I was debating on whether or not I was gonna continue to eat the soggy, yet somehow overcooked fries, the lady next to me said to her husband'Ick, these fries are awful, & not worth the calories.' Preach sister. Then the'chicken' fingers. The meat was mush. It was by far the worst meal I have had in weeks. Yes, airport food is often overpriced & bad but this took the cake.

I don't know if it was because it was early or busy but the waiter was a bit rude. They were never friendly throughout the whole meal & every time they would be speaking to me, they would have this annoyed infliction in their voice while they were so much more polite & friendly with other customers. The food itself was pretty basic. I feel like for 22$ a plate, the portion & the food was really underwhelming. There was nothing special at all about their'special breakfast', I really don't see why they would charge so much for such a regular breakfast. While you are having your breakfast, you would get a lot of people walking by & just staring & chit chatting which made the dining experience less enjoyable. The table was also not cleaned properly when I was sat at the table which does not help.Voir plus

The problem at YUL is all restaurants are terrible. There's not too many options so, I you need to eat you will have to just pick the least worst.
This one surprised me because after reading the reviews my expectations were very low.
I have to say I had one of the best French fries ever. Usually I just try a few & never eat it, Here I was so tempted to ask for more!
I sat at the bar, & the server-bartender was doing his job efficiently & helpful.

My flight was delayed & every bar & restaurant in the terminal had closed by the time I went to Hurley's pub. Fernando, who was working on Wednesday July 9th evening, was so kind to tell me they were still open & serve me a drink. I had it & more customers joined me (4 people) he served all of us kindly & professionally even though he was supposed to close the place way before we left. Absolutely zero sense of urgency from the staff. Waited 20 minutes just to order & after 40 minutes, I got my food (was just a salad) & then waited another 30 minutes after I finished just to get my check. I ordered a salad & a coke & waited about 1.5 hours.Voir plus
