Amazing dinner experience. The tasting menu was awesome, cocktails & drinks were the perfect compliment to it.
Camilo delivered an astonishing service on top of that. Thanks sir 🥂
My fiancée is expecting & they tailored her experience accordingly, it's been the perfect night for us !
We had been talking about trying Hoogan & Beaufort for years, so we decided to finally book it for a birthday & make a real occasion out of it. Honestly, it was worth the wait.
We went with the tasting menu because we wanted the full experience, & it was the right choice. Every plate surprised us in a good way. The flavors were creative but still comforting, & each course felt carefully thought out. It is one of those meals where you slow down & really enjoy every bite.
The service made the night even more special. Everyone was warm & genuinely friendly. The sommelier, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, clearly knows his craft & gave us very personalized wine recommendations that elevated the whole meal.
What really touched us was the birthday surprise at the end. We had mentioned it when booking but did not remind them when we arrived, yet they still brought out an extra dessert. It felt thoughtful & elegant without being over the top.
I would absolutely recommend it, especially for a special occasion.
We did the tasting menu. It was absolutely worth it. The meat was some of the best I've ever had, the texture was INSANE! I think maybe it was a sous-vide, definitely a fatty texture, so make sure you like that before taking it.
Quite empty on a Tuesday night - would have preferred to have been reseated to an empty regular table not a high top. Tasting menu was okay but not great - first course a waste. Bread & steak courses amazing. Agnolotti & dessert very average
A very confusing dining experience! The wine was fabulous! The dessert was exceptional!!!! The apps/main food was... Uninspired. Boring. Not special. Not worth the price....... We ordered the tasting menu & were not impressed. The 4/5 courses were vegetarian (come on...), they were also pretty bland, & the steak/rib was simply "ok". For the price... Unacceptable. When ordering a tasting menu at this price I expect each dish to have something memorable... I didn't find that here (except for the apple, hops, olive oil dessert which was 10/10). Won't be coming back.
We had the multi course tasting menu for our anniversary date❤️ the food was varied & every course was well rounded. There was a focus on fresh ingredients & their intent was overwhelm the palate. Some more adventurous eaters may disappointed but we enjoyed this meal very much. The wine selection was very well chosen & the sommelier was knowledgeable. Overall a great experience:)
Perfection 👌 top level cooking here. The quail pasta is a dish that will be remembered forever. Unbelievable wines here too, everything was blissful. The service was excellent too. Go for the tasting menu with wine pairing.😊
Came with friends to try the tasting menu as part of our trip to Montreal. The food was delicious & had variety of colours & flavours presented. The only gripe I had was how incredibly salty many of things were such as the quail among other aspects of the dishes. The service was good as the staff was attentive to when we finished our meals & if we needed water, etc. However our server was a bit on the rude side. He seemed a bit snobbish & would cut me off when I was talking & walk away before I could finish my sentence. Did feel a bit like we weren't completely invited. The atmosphere was cool as we could see the chefs in action. Overall, it was a nice one-time experience.
Our meal here was nothing short of incredible (we got the tasting menu & wine paring). We've only ever eaten at one Michelin star restaurant before, but our meal here exceeded that experience. The food was insanely delicious, & I was honestly sad to leave knowing that our meal was over! The service was also amazing. Everyone who took care of us was so kind & knowledgeable & the pacing of the service was perfection-this place is a well-oiled machine. Even though the quality of the meal was top tier, the atmosphere never felt stuffy or pretentious. Hoogan & Beaufort is an absolute recommend.
We ate at Hoogan & Beaufort a few days ago & it was phenomenal. The chef accommodated our dietary restrictions so we could enjoy the tasting menu (me: no meat, him: no lobster) & we were treated to excellent wine pairings, also adapted due to the changes in our menu. Overall the staff went above & beyond to ensure we had an excellent dining experience.
Last night's tasting menu was exceptional! The nuance of flavors & clever ingredients made each dish unique from start to finish. The wine pairings were perfection as well... our sommelier knew so much about each selection that it made the experience super fun. Each staff member did a great job & the ambiance was minimalist but warm. We sat at the bar, which gave us a chance to watch a lot of the food prep, grilling & drink making so it was quite entertaining too! We highly recommend Hoogan & Beaufort & can't wait to return.
Incredible experience with incredible service & incredible food. This is our third time & still amazed by the quality & originality of the tasting menu.
This is one of the few restaurants I rave about (& still continue to rave about) to this day, months after dining with them. I took my boyfriend to H&B for his birthday one evening in August 2023. We picked the tasting menu with the wine pairing & I am blown away by such a positive experience that we had. The sommelier assigned to our table was very educated & well-travelled. He was able to share stories about how he had come to find the wine, his relations with the vineyards & owners. He gave great descriptions relating to the different wine palettes, & why they pair nicely with each dish. The other servers were very attentive to our needs. They cleaned our table spills after each dish & were mindful enough to bring extra bread (to scoop up the gravys & creams) & refill our water glasses without even asking. The dishes was the best mix of being experimental/interesting (meshing of flavours I would not have thought to pair together), well-cooked, aesthetically pleasing & well-proportioned. I don't even know what else to add other than my partner & I were very silent when eating because that was how delicious it was, & we wanted to savour each moment. Finally, the decor & atmosphere gives off Japanese Zen/Scandinavian vibes. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass windows which lets in lots of light & brightens the whole place. The many wood textures give a sense of calm, while the neutral & warm colors give a sense of elegance. The restaurant is located by the old train tracks, surrounded by old brick & metal structures. Very beautiful. This is definitely a place to take someone special, or to impress folks. While it can be expensive, I believe it is worth the price.
We took the tasting menu. They were not too flexible with changes but the food was delicious. Friday night, it took 3hrs for the full dining experience
Wonderful restaurant! We had a lovely time. Our server was outstanding & the food was delectable. We had the tasting menu priced at $100 per person. It was a good choice, but we still left the restaurant a little hungry & after spending with drinks & tip almost 400, we would have expected to leave full. The food is really excellent, however, & worth the visit.
