Ce que je retiens de notre soirée, c'est une une narration culinaire où chaque service prépare le suivant. On ne mange pas, on est conduits quelque part.
Les accords mets-vins sont d'une justesse désarmante : une intelligence tranquille qui fait que le vin & l'assiette semblent s'être attendus.
Maxime, notre serveur, nous a accompagnés tout au long de la soirée avec ce qu'on voit si rarement : une présence calibrée. Jamais trop, jamais absent, toujours au bon moment avec la bonne information. & derrière ce service en apparence sans effort, il y a une équipe entière qui tourne comme une mécanique de précision. Fluide, coordonnée, presque chorégraphiée.
Chez Hoogan & Beaufort, on ne se demande pas si l'expérience était à la hauteur. On se demande comment faire pour revenir plus vite.

Hoogan & Beaufort left us feeling hungry. Located in a sleek, airy industrial space, the restaurant offers highly professional service, an impressive wine list & artfully executed dishes. Unfortunately, the portions were conspicuously ungenerous - at one point the appetizer consisted of literally a single small piece of joue de veau. Our table of six birthday celebrants left unsatisfied & frustrated after a bill of roughly $175 per person, including taxes, wine & tip. A few guests even felt the need to eat afterwards. We did appreciate the desserts, & a waiter kindly brought extra bread after sensing our portion shock. Despite these touches, the group still left disappointed.
Gros coup de coeur 💓 pour ce superbe restaurant. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation & tous les plats étaient vraiment excellents. Belle créativité & produits impeccables.

We had been talking about trying Hoogan & Beaufort for years, so we decided to finally book it for a birthday & make a real occasion out of it. Honestly, it was worth the wait.
We went with the tasting menu because we wanted the full experience, & it was the right choice. Every plate surprised us in a good way. The flavors were creative but still comforting, & each course felt carefully thought out. It is one of those meals where you slow down & really enjoy every bite.
The service made the night even more special. Everyone was warm & genuinely friendly. The sommelier, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember, clearly knows his craft & gave us very personalized wine recommendations that elevated the whole meal.
What really touched us was the birthday surprise at the end. We had mentioned it when booking but did not remind them when we arrived, yet they still brought out an extra dessert. It felt thoughtful & elegant without being over the top.
I would absolutely recommend it, especially for a special occasion.

The steak was extremely tough & full of excessive fat, to the point where I couldn't eat most of it. The knife was dull & couldn't properly cut through the meat. Very disappointing experience.
The food was truly amazing, every dish was well executed & flavorful. The restaurant clearly deserves recognition for its cuisine.
However, the service didn't match the level of the food or the price point. When we arrived, the waiter seemed quite cold toward us, possibly because we were speaking English. We asked for cocktail recommendations & were told the menu changes often, so we should just pick whatever'resonated' with us which wasn't very helpful.
The restaurant has received a Michelin recommendation for its wine list, & the first wine suggested to me was excellent. When I asked for a second wine with my meal, I was brought something I didn't enjoy. After mentioning it, the waiter brought another glass which turned out to be the exact same first wine he had already served me (I noticed because it was the same bottle). The wine was great, but it would have been nice to see a bit more attention to detail & effort.
Overall, the food was good, but the service felt indifferent & not aligned with a nearly $500 experience. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return though I still think the kitchen does a great job.
Tout étais excellent! Meilleur expérience gastronomique! Service au petit soins & impeccable, ambiance agréable & très beau lieu. Le chef réalise des accords complexes de saveurs qui explose en bouche. Le prix vaut l'expérience!
Incroyable ! Du haut niveau de l'entrée au dessert ! Equipe professionnelle, très serviable ! Délicate petite attention pour ma fête, j'apprécie vraiment ! Un gros merci !

Wonderful dining experience. Beautifully executed food, warm & attentive service, & a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. It's easy to see why this restaurant is so special to so many. We truly enjoyed every moment & would happily return.
Excellente expérience chez Hoogan & Beaufort. Le service est tout simplement exceptionnel : attentionné, professionnel & chaleureux du début à la fin. Les plats sont très bons & magnifiquement présentés - de super belles assiettes qui ouvrent l'appétit dès qu'elles arrivent à table.
Gros coup de coeur pour les huîtres chaudes aux pommes, absolument délicieuses & parfaitement équilibrées.
Petit bémol du côté des desserts : ils sont assez chers &, pour moi, un peu décevants, même si la qualité des produits & l'exécution sont indéniables.
Une très belle adresse que je recommande sans hésiter pour l'expérience globale.
