Good food. Nice setting in old Birks store. Can get noisy for a business lunch. Service typically good. Nice crowd.
I do not typically write reviews of restaurants, but I felt particularly implored to do so after experiencing such terrible service. To save my time as well as anyone reading, I'll simply put it in bullet form.
-Food was quite good, but lacking in quantity. 22ish dollars for a slice of French toast is almost criminal.
-Service was molasses-like slow & for the most part non- existent. It took the entire duration of the meal to get a refill of water. Zero attention to detail.
-The Maître d, Maxime, was not warm at all, where I felt almost like a second class citizen, seeing other clients being served even if they had ordered after us. We ordered a salad & a French toast respectively, but a whole table of 4 was served their hot meals well before ours.
-Care was not consistent as the table beside us had the courtesy of regular coffee & water refills.
-Less than stellar seating even when there was ample room in the restaurant.
Save your time & money.

Restaurant au cadre très élégant, avec un intérieur soigné & agréable qui donne tout de suite une bonne première impression.
Les prix sont assez élevés pour une qualité de nourriture plutôt normale, sans réelle surprise. La carte manque un peu de diversité, bien qu'elle propose surtout des fruits de mer & des viandes. Le service est correct, sans être particulièrement remarquable.

I used to adore this place, but my recent visit was a letdown after a considerable absence.
On December 31st, 2023, I visited for brunch with my significant other, anticipating a great experience. While the waiter was amiable & described the food options well, the actual meal left much to be desired.
For starters, we had 6 fresh oysters & a delightful soup. However, our usual order of eggs benedict with smoked salmon & the hanger steak was shockingly disappointing. Despite previous satisfying visits, the quality, portion size, & presentation were all notably subpar this time. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos to illustrate.
The eggs benedict arrived on small yellow bread with the salmon scattered around the plate, lacking the usual salad & appearing notably smaller. It felt like a fraction of what they used to serve & resembled something from an average all-inclusive hotel in Cuba.
The hanger steak, ordered medium rare, arrived overcooked & resembling a brick. The fries were flavorless & overdone, a far cry from what one might expect. I returned it, opting for my usual steak tartare, but to my dismay, that too was disappointing - dry & lacking in taste, with an unappealing presentation.
When I inquired about the drastic change in quality, the manager informed me they had changed chefs. While I refrained from stating it, it seemed apparent they should consider replacing the new chef swiftly. Even the dishes served to others nearby lacked appeal.
The manager offered three small pastries to compensate for the inconvenience. Considering the $200 CAD bill (inclusive of a surprising $66 for two glasses of champagne, totaling $87 with tax & tip), it felt inadequate.
Montreal boasts numerous exceptional brunch spots, & unfortunately, this one won't make it back on my list unless I hear promising reviews in the future.
I give it 1 star for price vs quality.
Excellent meal. Started with cocktails (souvenir & epiceree) - both were top shelf.
Steaks for two family members (ribeye was extremely flavourful; filet mignon was tender as expected). Other members had the the sea bass & the salmon - also expertly finished. Everything was plated well & was accompanied by equally good sides. Desserts were top notch. Highly recommend!
Kind of disappointed. Was really looking forward to eating here. We were a group celebrating a birthday.
Food was overall good, some dishes better than others. My braised beef was good but not anything to write home about.
Service was friendly & very attentive at first, but quickly tapered off. We were waiting forever for dessert.
When it came time to pay, the server demanded a minimum of 18%, which I was going to do anyways, but the way this was broached could have been done more elegantly.
We were a group, so as is typical, were the last ones to leave. When retrieving our coats from the coat check, the servers just took them all & plunked them on the desk so we felt very rushed. I understand they want to go home, but there are better ways to communicate that message..
The venue is beautiful but the restaurant seems to just be missing a few key details to be excellent.
Déçu! La fin de semaine au dîner il y a seulement le menu du brunch. Presque rien à choisir & en plus il n'y avait plus de crêpes! 34$ pour une gaufre avec une poitrine de poulet! Pas de sirop! La gaufre s'émiettait quand on la piquait avec la fourchette.Jai reçu une mini portion de melon d'eau farineux, il était pas bon, plutôt orangé que rose.Quelle déception

Le menu brunch est intéressant! La nourriture goûte bon les prix raisonnables!
Malheureusement les accotées sont plutôt dispendieux pour ce qui est offert!

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant during my stay at the hotel, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
The kitchen hours are clearly listed online as closing at 10:00 PM on Saturday, while the restaurant itself remains open until midnight. However, when I attempted to walk in at 9:35 PM, I was refused service. The staff was quite rude & initially provided no explanation.
After returning to show the posted hours online, I was simply told that the kitchen hours'change sometimes' & that they were already closed. No apology was offered, nor was any alternative proposed.
As a hotel guest, I would have expected at least some accommodation - whether honoring the posted hours, offering a reduced menu, or simply handling the situation with professionalism & courtesy.
Overall, the lack of communication & hospitality was disappointing, especially within a hotel environment where guest service should be a priority.
Bel accueil par le valet. Bel accueil par l'hôtesse. Nous étions un groupe de 10 personnes pour un anniversaire. Le service s'est gaché quand le serveur a oublié d'amener 2 apéros (plus de 40 minutes d'attente malgré 2 rappels). 1:15 avant la prise de commande. Entrées A+ , huîtres bien fraîches seul bémol, aucune sauce épicée. Saumon fumé très bon, tartare de boeuf bien assaisonné & soupe à l'oignon excellente. Pour le plat principal, 6 entre côtes commandées, aucune avec la bonne cuisson dont 2 retournées en cuisine car vraiment inacceptables très très cuits. Bon service de vin pendant le repas, changement de coupes & d'ustensiles. Bon desserts & cafés. Par contre, niveau ambiance, nous avions encore nos desserts sur la table que les lumières se sont allumées & la musique s'est éteinte. Nous attendions nos factures dans une ambiance funéraire. Très moyen comme façon de procéder. La répartition des factures ne fonctionnait pas. Les entrées, bouteilles de vin & cocktails étaient mal répartis entre les clients. Deux serveurs sont venus nous faire payer afin qu'on quitte rapidement. Expérience très très moyenne je vous avoue pour une facture de la sorte.

My friends did invite me here. It was Ok. Certainly Not bad, but I was particularly NOT thrilled.
Absolutely stunning place. The food was even better! Great service, Mark & Dave were so professional! Highly recommend!!
Quel endroit magnifique! Le décor est à couper le souffle. Nous sommes arrivés sur une ambiance de piano live qui a ensuite changé pour un DJ, donnant une ambiance variée & agréable. Nous avons pu profiter du menu de St-Valentin qui était délicieux. Nous avons partagé tous les plats de la carte. Belle expérience gastronomique. Le service que nous avons reçu était également très bien autant du serveur que des bossboy. Le mocktail Noa-maretto, quoiqu'un peu sucré, était super bon! Nous y retournerons certainement à l'occasion! Merci pour cette belle expérience!
Parfait pour la St-valentin. La table d'hôte pour l'occasion vallait amplement le prix. Excellent service dans un lieu magnifique.
Everything is paid attention to. From the moment you walk in, to exiting the establishment. The service & food is great. Perfect for client lunch meetings, appero or a dinner out, you will not be disappointed.
