Excellent restaurant! The food is amazing & very tasty! The staff is really nice & professional! Definetely one of my favourite restaurant in Montreal!
In a sea of fine French restaurants, this lovely Middle Eastern spot was a rare gem. The flavors were something we've never experienced before & everything was something to savor & take your time eating. Really amazing dishes with vegetarian friendly options that are so good you wouldn't miss the meat. The service was incredibly friendly & attentive & so kind. We decided to eat at the bar & received great service & recommendations from Chao (hope i spelled that right!) Hands down the best meal we've had in Montreal, & quite frankly, the best we've had anywhere in a very long time. (Definitely try the muhamarra, it's out of this world!)
A big table of many people were constantly bumping on our table, quite noisy. music too loud, but overall loved the food, & drinks were amazing. Our server was very sweet to adapt to all our dietary restrictons & allergies, & made our experience great.

I never do Google reviews but wasn't a fan at all of the lamb tacos & shrimp dish. Couldn't not have more than 2 bites. Food was nearly inedible. Odd fishy taste for the shrimp & the driest taco I've ever had. Otherwise, dessert was good & so was the beef tartare & dumplings. Surprised due to the high rating
Outstanding service & delicious food! I truly was impressed by the attention to detail we experienced at Hayat. The staff were very friendly & informative & we especially liked the fattoush salad & baklava pancakes 😋

If you like Shay, you will love this place! Tried a few different things & the food is delicious. The service & the drinks are also great! I think they could do a bit more for the atmosphere for dinner (dim lights more, a bit more music). If you're looking for middle eastern food in the old port, this is it (sorry Babacool).
Best team ever. Food was sublime. Cocktails are great. Especially the espresso martini with Tequila Reposado instead of vodka. It was to die for. Me & my wife were able to create another lovely memory.
