If you're looking for incredible Eastern Mediterranean flavors in Montréal, this spot is an absolute gem. Very friendly staff who were attentive, very good food, unreal hummus!

I don't write that many reviews, but I had to share my experience at Hayat because it really stood out to me. First, the ambiance is super inviting & vibrant, with great music, lighting, & well-thought-out decor.

When I go out to eat, I look for an immersive experience that combines out-of-the-ordinary food, warm service & energy from the staff, & a good mix of a chic but lively environment. Let me tell you, Hayat provided all of the above & went well beyond my expectations.

You can feel the authenticity behind all the recipes, & when the food is served with such personalized & attentive service, it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable.

I especially loved the lamb shank, which was perfectly tender, & the short ribs, which quite literally melted in my mouth. & don't even get me started on the eggplant mash, which gives you creaminess & tanginess from the eggplant purée, topped with savoury, tomatoey beef & a touch of crispiness from the fried eggplant (+ a subtle sweet kick from the pomegranate seeds).

Thank you to the amazing cooking team & all the staff for making us feel at home, but with better food! :)))

I normally stay away from the restaurants & the Old Port area as they tend to be overpriced & not worth the money. I therefore had my reservations when we made an impromptu decision to try out Hayat.. but it definitely paid off. The food was quite outstanding- it seemed quite authentic, was very well prepared & plated.

The menu is interesting & not crazy long- which clearly gives them the ability to ensure strong quality control. The desserts were refreshing & unique. As were the cocktails. The service is kind & attentive & the location & ambience are beautiful. 100% recommend.

The food was absolutely delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, & attentive, making us feel very welcome. The live music was one of the best performances I've experienced & created such a great atmosphere. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience, & I would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Had a great evening there with my husband. Really enjoyed the fish as well as the fresh fattoush salad. My server was super attentive & always making sure everything was just perfect.
The patio was really nice. We will be back!

Delicious food - keeps the authentic flavour a but élevâtes the presentation of the traditional dishes - & great vibes. It was busy & we had to ask for cutlery to serve our sharing plates but otherwise very attentive with water & drinks orders

My friends & I absolutely loved this place! The restaurant is beautiful, with a warm & elegant atmosphere. The food was fresh, authentic, & full of flavor! The service was friendly & attentive, & everything was beautifully presented. If you're looking for delicious Mediterranean cuisine in a gorgeous setting, I highly recommend Hayat!

My husband & I had a wonderful saturday night at Hayat, starting with a warm welcome. Throughout the evening, our waiter was friendly & attentive, offering great recommendations from the variety of cocktails & menu options. I would also like to mention the young man who was always present, smiling, & attentive, making sure our water glasses were never empty, clearing away finished plates & promptly bringing clean plates & ustensiles for our next course. The service from both of them made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We will be back for sure!

Hier soir , je suis passée par La Commune & j'ai découvert le Hayat, où j'y ai mangé avec mes amies. J'ai adoré les saveurs, tout particulièrement le chou fleur & tarator. Il y avait un DJ, une très belle ambiance, & le service était vraiment irréprochable. Ma serveuse était très souriante & attentive à nos besoins. Comme j'ai une amie végétarienne, elle a su nous proposer des options alléchantes qui lui convenaient parfaitement. Je reviendrai sans hésiter !
