Hier soir , je suis passée par La Commune & j'ai découvert le Hayat, où j'y ai mangé avec mes amies. J'ai adoré les saveurs, tout particulièrement le chou fleur & tarator. Il y avait un DJ, une très belle ambiance, & le service était vraiment irréprochable. Ma serveuse était très souriante & attentive à nos besoins. Comme j'ai une amie végétarienne, elle a su nous proposer des options alléchantes qui lui convenaient parfaitement. Je reviendrai sans hésiter !
I genuinely don't even know where to start because this was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had in montreal, & I've been to a LOT of restaurants. First of all, the service was absolutely incredible !! Lina, our waitress, is genuinely one of the sweetest people ever ; she made us feel so welcomed & taken care of from beginning to end. You can tell she truly cares about the clients & it honestly made the whole experience even more special !! Gabi, the chef, is just amazing ; not only is the food exceptional, fresh, flavorful, & honestly unforgettable, but the way he treats people says everything about the kind of person he is. He's so generous, attentive, & passionate about what he does ; he makes sure every single person is having the best experience possible. You can genuinely feel the love & care behind everything ! I seriously have zero complaints. The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything was perfect. This place deserves all the success in the world 🤍

Hayat offers a five-star experience that immerses you in the Lebanese & Syrian food scene with true class. We visited for Mother's Day, & the service was impeccable quick, attentive, & always with a smile.
?The food was incredibly tasty, featuring a modern twist on traditional dishes from the region. If you go, the Baklava pancake is an absolute must-try. The restaurant is spotless & beautifully decorated; just a heads-up that parking can be tricky in the area, so it's best to arrive a bit early.
Some places just serve food, but this place delivers an experience. From the atmosphere to the quality of the food, everything was amazing, but what truly made the night special was the service. Otis went above & beyond in a way you don't see often anymore. He was kind, attentive, & genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. You can feel the pride he has in his work, & it shows in every interaction. This experience honestly meant more than just a good meal. I'll definitely be back & recommending this place to everyone I know.
Incredibly delicious food ! The service was amazing, from being greeted at the door, attentive service on water & cleanliness, & the best of all was our server Hajar. She treated us like queens!! Highly recommend a lovely place for the family & date night. You have to try the Baclava pancakes!!!
I just had my bridal shower at Hayat Restaurant, & everything was perfect! The food, décor, & ambiance were amazing, so elegant & beautifully done. A special shoutout to our waitress Hajar, she was absolutely the best! So kind, attentive, & made the whole experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back with my family, & I highly recommend everyone to visit Hayat Restaurant!

We spent 2 weeks in Quebec & this was our best meal. Everything was delightful. Our server (Catarina?) was over the top. She was so attentive, helpful & natural. A great culinary experience was had!!
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding, especially from Hajer, who was incredibly welcoming, professional, & attentive throughout my visit. She made sure everything was perfect & added a personal, friendly touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Had a beautiful patio dinner here one evening in June. Ordered a cocktail & two appetizers, which was more than enough food for one person. They also brought out complementary breadsticks with labneh & za'atar to accompany the cocktail, which was very kind.
Servers were lovely - attentive without being overbearing.
Restaurant serves higher-end food in a touristy part of town - the prices reflect that.
Overall, a great meal & I would definitely return again.

I made reservations here for my friend's birthday yesterday. There was a group of 11 of us. I loved the ambiance & decor of the restaurant. I ordered the lamb shawarma & hummus for myself & I got to try the shish taouk, Jerusalem artichokes, fattoush salad, shish barak, & the short ribs. My lamb shawarma & hummus was perfectly spiced & tender, while the hummus was creamy & velvety which paired great with fresh pita. I was also surprised by the Jerusalem artichokes, they were fried, I never thought artichokes could taste so good. The seasoning used for this was absolutely impeccable. The fattoush salad was also great & tasted fresh. The chicken shish taouk was juicy with a delightful char, the side potatoes that came with this was also amazingly delicious with the spices they used. The beef dumplings were mediocre tasting, I didn't find them to be a stand out. & the short ribs mixed with a creamy sauce was also an odd pairing of flavor. I found the service good as they were attentive & quick to serve us. I did bring a birthday cake in which they charged $5/pp cutting fee. There were these large chocolate pieces that were used to decorate the cake, in which I realized the server never asked if we wanted to eat them. I wish they would have considered this because it was part of the cake & a waste of money to be just thrown out as some of the guests would have liked it. Overall, I thought the majority of the food was well prepared & flavourful. I enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant, however it felt the space was a bit tight. & lastly, the service was good.
Really great food & service! The owner & waitress were super attentive. The only issue is that its very expensive for what you get (a non-alcoholic drink was close to $20) but the portion sizes are decent & it has a nice vibe on the inside.
Hayat in Montreal, overlooking the old port waterfront, offers a beautiful dining experience with both outdoor & indoor seating. The fusion of food was so delicious that I could only take two photos before it was all gobbled up. The staff were attentive, & Nathaniel's exceptional service truly stood out. He carefully listened to our preferences & recommended dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. The food quality was outstanding, with generous portions, & the dessert is an absolute must-try! Highly recommended!
Food was phenomenal & service was out of this world! Every single dish was flavorful & plentiful. All of the staff were friendly & extremely attentive. They deserve a 10! Just wish we had room for dessert!
