We ordered couple of chicken dishes & naan & green salad , asked them to make it spicy it was great, I ordered for take out just waited for 20 min & the food was ready to go , one of the great food I've had in Montreal & also got complimentary gulab jamun which was just perfect.
Would recommend visiting it if you are craving for India food 🇮🇳.
The food was absolutely delicious, & the service was excellent. We would love to go back & try more dishes.
I had been here back when it was still called H2 Hyderabad & let me tell you when I say the food is WAY BETTER THAN BEFORE! The wait time for some dishes may not be as fast as other Indian places, but that is because they are making the food fresh to order. They even garnish with fresh ginger & other herbs. Super delicious & great service! I will definitely be back.
If you like Spicy Grill in the West Island, you're in for a treat with their downtown location. Nestled amongst other eateries on rue St. Denis, be ready to tantalize your taste buds! The dishes are richer & more flavourful, because the cook has magically upgraded every classic. We had the chicken korma, coconut chicken, beef biryani, & the salmon sizzler on hot skillet. Everything was delightful, with a new personality. The spices were calculated, as if added love was given to bring out another level of yum! Oh, & the service - top notch. You will be served as the Maharajah himself! Spicy Grill 2.0, just go & enjoy!
Disappointed that I only tried two dishes... but even sharing with another, the biryani was so much that we had some left over. Paneer was soft & fresh, best I've had. Can't wait to go back. Amazing food & friendly too.
As all people, disappointed with the name. I wonder why they advertise it as South Indian but not even a single South Indian dish available. Atleast as per the name you guys should have one Hyderabad dish available but it was not there. It's a pure North Indian restaurant 🤣. North Indian dishes were good but oily.
This place has excellent Indian food, particularly if you are more familiar with authentic Indian cuisine, & don't just want liquidy, sugar-sweet, Westernized dishes. Rather, their dishes are full of texture & taste. Very nice surprise.
We've been twice & I honestly think we are addicted! The first time, I ordered off the daily special menu (lamb biryani) & the dessert. We really enjoyed it & it was different from the typical fare you find in Montreal. The lamb biryani had nice morsels of tender meat, slices of raw onion & lemon wedge. We gobbled it up! We eat pretty spicy & tried medium. It was deliciously spicy but if you have trouble with heat, I strongly recommend asking for the mild version. The dessert was special! I've never had anything like it. It was like a puran poli stuffed with lentils & sweet. First bite, I wasn't sure but by the second bite, I was hooked. We've already gone back less than week later & ordered off the menu the Lamb Rogan Josh & we are VERY happy with it! Fresh plump tomatoes, a good amount of tender lamb & the sauce is very nice. A nice balance of spices & ingredients. Again, not too greasy & not oversalted. Perfect. The staff is so nice & we felt very welcomed when we went. The prices are very reasonable, makes us want to go back sooner than later. The menu feels authentic, interesting & extensive. We can't wait to try more (chicken 65, noodle dishes, breakfast dishes, etc).
