Overall fantastic experience. We were a group of 2 & took one of their predetermined courses menu, it was plenty enough food for both of us to both feel full & still got to try a nice variety. They also had some imported Japanese beers which were excellent & which I have not found elsewhere in the city yet. Overall definitely recommend visiting at least once, & if you live in the area they do have a free membership with bonuses & discounts which I could see being very appealing if you enjoy this style of eating out!

On a passé une belle expérience de cuisine japonaise dans ce restaurant. La décoration est magnifique, le concept de griller seul la viande sur la table est extraordinairement ding L'ambiance de l équipe on parlant japonais quand un nouveau client arrive … j etait comme ça Mes enfants ont aimé l expérience & la nourriture, j etait surpris comment ils mangent de la viande alors que à la maison non. Un seule plat familiale nous a suffit largement. À refaire sûrement. Je le recommande 1000%
Our dinner at Gyu-Kaku was a pleasant surprise during our visit to Montreal. First of all, it was very reasonably priced & all of the food was fresh. Second, we received so much food in the combo that we ordered so that by the end of the meal, we were super full. Lastly, the drinks were SO SO good. My boyfriend got a beer that was in a "mega mug" & I got some really well prepared cocktails. This place was a lot better than some of the fine dining places we tried. Lastly, the service was perfect. They were helpful without being too much. They really let us have a nice dinner that felt intimate & cosy with the right amount of guidance & suggestion. This place came highly recommended to our family & friends after our trip to Montreal.

Nous étions 4, & tout le monde s'est régalé ! Les prix sont très raisonnables compte tenu de la qualité & de la quantité. Une expérience exceptionnelle que je recommande vivement !
Amazing restaurant! My husband & I went there for dinner on a Friday night around 8 p.m. The place was busy, but we were pleasantly surprised by the short wait time-our table was ready in just 10 minutes. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. In addition to our main dishes, we decided to try two desserts: the Petite Gateau & the S'mores. While the S'mores were delightful, I wasn't a fan of the Petite Gateau-it had a subtle coconut aftertaste that didn't suit my personal preference. That small detail aside, everything else exceeded our expectations, & we had a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant & can't wait to return!

Parfait endroit pour fêter sa fête, bonne ambiance & très bon service de la part de Aldin! Viandes bonne & fraîches, pas trop cher pour un groupe de 12! Je recommandes !
A classic Japanese bbq restaurant. All you can eat with high quality products all of which were pure in flavor. I definitely recommend going here with friends & enjoy some time cooking some yummy food. The service was great. We always got our food a few minutes after we put in our order no matter how large. Also being served by the robot was cute & fun. The best part might have been the tiny crème brûlée
10/10, the aesthetics, the service , the food was amazing, I found the food a bit lacking in spiciness but besides that everything was great! I recommended it to my friends!

Vraiment un super barbecue japonais qui saura combler les fans de viande. Les menus sont généreux, le prix est assez élevé mais la viande est bonne. Je recommande !
La nourriture était excellente, le personnel était très accueillant & gentil. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable (menu combo du midi). Je recommande & j'y retournerai !
I've been a regular here for the last 5 years & would say this is EASILY my favorite resto in the city, even including all the high end places. AMAZING variety of dishes to choose from (I HIGHLY suggest the Prime Kalbi rib with miso marinade, the takoyaki, the garlic rice bowl with extra garlic chips, spicy korean chigae tofu soup) & the staff are simply wonderful (especially Mel & Kate). Bobby, the manager, is a total sweetheart & very attentive. Even though I'm only a client, I consider him & some of the staff "family." I've taken at least 50 dates here to impress them & it's been a 100% success ratio. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you.

Honestly super impressed. They greet you upon seating, they had delicious food, beautiful drinks, high quality meats & absolutely amazing service. Highly recommend this place, great atmosphere, very clean, they changed our grill 3 times. We really had a great experience, can't wait to go back! Thank you to the kitchen & staff, my tummy is happy & full👏 💯
I recently visited Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ on August 11th, & I must say, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. As a "BBQ aficionado", I opted for the Meat Lover's option, & I was initially concerned it might not be enough. To my surprise, it was more than sufficient-so much so that even with my hearty appetite, I found myself struggling to finish the last few bites! The service was phenomenal. Our waiter, whose name I regret not asking, was outstanding. He provided excellent explanations of all the dishes & checked in on us regularly. Despite the restaurant being full, the dishes came out quickly & in a steady flow-within 10 minutes, our table was completely filled. Even though I wasn't in the best mood that evening due to unrelated reasons, the food & service completely turned my night around. The atmosphere was lively but not overly loud, & the table separators added a nice touch of privacy. I left Gyu-Kaku feeling completely satisfied & eager to return. Highly recommend for anyone who loves BBQ & great service!
Excellent, excellent! Came here later after a show, the food was amazing & our server was very helpful & friendly. Highly recommend the bibimbap & egg drop soup. Will absolutely come back on future visits!
