One word: EXCELLENT ! We've been to Japan so our standards were high & they didn't disappoint. We had the combo for two people , everything was delicious, generous & reasonably priced. We'll be coming back for sure.
The food was amazing & the service was excellent. The combo for four people was the perfect amount, just enough to be satisfied. We also added a bottle of excellent sake & some outstanding wagyu beef. Great experience! 100% recommand this place!

The meat is very high quality, amazing taste. Cleanliness is spot on. Service is extremely friendly & welcoming & best thing is you come & leave & no smell sticks to you. I was happy with everything we ordered l, really nothing was mediocre. Everthg was super tasty. Best quality/price combo.
I would also like to mention how happy I was with the service provided by ACESU! He was really friendly, patient, took the time to explain to us & help us choose & his recommendations were spot on. He's not like usual waiters who just recommend the most expensive thing on the menu, in contrary, he recommends what goes with ur taste & needs, always smiling, genuine hospitality! Kudos to his service

The staff were very friendly, polite & patient. They explained every item how you grill them & they come to the table very often (no wait).
I reduced one star just because the selection of meat wasn't exactly to my taste. Some were really delicious some were a little fatty (not my favourite).
We ordered combo, variety of meats (red, chicken, & shrimp). It also came with a dessert (s'more), but I didn't like the dessert at all.
Booked a reservation for a large group, but we still ended up waiting 15 minutes to be seated. Not a problem, gave our group time to chat & the staff apologized for the wait. We ordered a few combo dinners to fill us & the food was good but did take a bit to come out. The staff were very friendly, & the restaurant had a good atmosphere. The food was pretty pricey though because we were a group over 6 people they only allowed us to do one bill or split the bills evenly. They also added an 18% service charge, so it ended up being about $70 each as we all got drinks too.
Go their for their lunch combo. $20 for 3 meats to grill, a salad & miso soup. Really good value for the quality of meat. The angus beef rib was the best. The other two meats I got were cut badly, with some small & broken pieces (small enough to barely fit on the grill). But for the price, it wasn't a big deal.
The service was also attentive & friendly. They checked on us throughout the meal, & changed the grill for us without prompting.
Our table also ordered the ramen & that's a skip. Not very good.
had the most memorable night at Gyu-Kaku, our server Victor (or Viktor), was incredibly helpful, giving us solid suggestions on what combo to order & what drinks to get. Hit the mark on everything, the meat was fantastic & well marinated as well as the drinks they served were awesome, the Sakura was amazing. I would go back for the service alone, thank you Victor for your amazing hospitality & adding to an amazing night!
Our dinner at Gyu-Kaku was a pleasant surprise during our visit to Montreal. First of all, it was very reasonably priced & all of the food was fresh. Second, we received so much food in the combo that we ordered so that by the end of the meal, we were super full. Lastly, the drinks were SO SO good. My boyfriend got a beer that was in a "mega mug" & I got some really well prepared cocktails. This place was a lot better than some of the fine dining places we tried. Lastly, the service was perfect. They were helpful without being too much. They really let us have a nice dinner that felt intimate & cosy with the right amount of guidance & suggestion. This place came highly recommended to our family & friends after our trip to Montreal.
Overall a great experience. We were lucky to get a table for two without a reservation on a busy Friday's night. Our server was lovely - helpful, funny & professional. The place is super crowded but well ventilated. We got a combo for two & ended in a good note. The marination was a bit salty to my taste but still delicious. Price is reasonable. We will definitely come back.
La nourriture était excellente, le personnel était très accueillant & gentil. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable (menu combo du midi). Je recommande & j'y retournerai !

Nous sommes allés au Guy Kaku pour célébrer l'anniversaire de ma mère. Nous avons apprécié les offres combos, qui sont pratiques quand vous voulez tout essayer & ne savez pas quoi choisir. On s'est régalé !! 😋 Nous avons également apprécié l'ambiance chaleureuse, & l'attention des employés qui ont tous chanté autour de nous pour souffler les bougies. 🎂 Je suggère de réserver pour être sûr de ne pas attendre, le restaurant est toujours remplis même en milieu de semaine!!
Restaurant ludique, on cuit ses aliments rassemblés autour d'un grill. Rien d'extraordinaire, mais c'est sympa en petit groupe ou en famille. Enormément de choix sur plusieurs menus. On a choisit la facilité avec un combo. Le Chef's favorite. Bonne variété d'aliments pour goûter un peu de tout.

Great food & great service! Wasn't expecting a Korean-style BBQ, but it certainly hit the spot! We went with the mid-tier combo dinner & it included nice appetizers & had TONS of good meat, so much we had to skip the included dessert. All the staff were super friendly & attentive. Price was a bit high, but as expected & the atmosphere was nice. Would definitely go back!
Fun experience, delicious food, & fantastic service! I highly recommend this restaurant! I was with my two teen daughters & their friend, & the four of us ordered the 3-person combo with a couple extra plates of apps, & it was way more than enough food for us. My teens & I are now entering meat coma stage but loved every minute of it. They've said that this dining experience was the highlight of our trip to Montreal!
