Service was great. Restaurant very busy at times. Recommend ordering La carte instead of preset menus for best meat options especially if u don't like grilling poultry or seafood. Meat was very high quality & delicious.

We had such a great experience at Gyu-Kaku! The quality of the meat was top-notch-fresh, delicious, & cooked perfectly at the table.
What truly made our visit special was our server, Eric. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, & attentive throughout the entire meal. He made sure we had everything we needed & created such a welcoming experience.
We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Gyu-Kaku, especially if you have Eric as your server!

Came here for a birthday dinner & it was such a good time. If you've never done Japanese BBQ before, Gyu-Kaku is a great place to start. You get your own little grill right at the table & cook the meat yourself which sounds simple but honestly makes the whole meal way more fun & interactive. The Harami skirt steak in miso marinade was incredible, easily the highlight of the night. The Kalbi short rib was great too.
The lunch combo is also insane value if you catch it, you get three meats, a salad & miso soup for around $20 which is a steal for the quality you're getting. The garlic fried rice is a must order on the side as well, really packed with flavour.
Staff were super attentive the whole time, changed out our grill without us even having to ask & actually explained the cooking times for each cut of meat which you really appreciate as a first timer. The vibe in there is really lively & fun, great spot for a group. Definitely making this a regular thing.

This was such a fun experience !! There are plenty of Japanese Bbq in Montreal. But Gyu Kaku is by far the best. When it comes to quality, price & atmosphere, you really can't beat it. Le the manager is doing a good job with all his staff at this place. Will definitely be back!

Amazing meat quality! Fast service despite it being formula 1 weekend & a super full restaurant. Loved their selection of meats & it was really great how the server also explained cooking time for each meat he brought. Drinks were good too & interesting. All in all a great experience. Would come again

The staff is incredibly friendly & efficient; they are all awesome! The quality of the food is top-notch, & the portions are surprisingly generous, especially for the price.

The menu for four is perfect. We initially thought there wouldn't be enough food, but we were eating our words two hours later. It's a great spot for groups or a tête-à-tête, as the ambient noise is at a perfect level & you don't need to scream to be heard.

The cocktails are quite good, & they have a great deal if you order a round of four. I strongly recommend that you make a reservation if you want to go between 6:00 PM & 9:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday, or anytime during the summer.
