Go there for their lunch combo. $20 for 3 meats to grill, a salad & miso soup. Really good value for the quality of meat. The angus beef rib was the best. The other two meats I got were cut badly, with some small & broken pieces (small enough to barely fit on the grill). But for the price, it wasn't a big deal.
The service was also attentive & friendly. They checked on us throughout the meal, & changed the grill for us without prompting.
Our table also ordered the ramen & that's a skip. Not very good.

On y mange très bien. Certes, les prix sont élevés, mais l'expérience en vaut la peine. Les serveurs sont attentifs, prennent le temps d'expliquer les plats & offrent d'excellents conseils.
Easily my most visited restaurant in Montreal, I highly recommend everyone to pass by Gyu-Kaku if you're looking for an authentic Japanese BBQ experience. They have a wide variety of menu items & also a seasonal menu that includes some nice surprises here & there.
Food was excellent, but the values on the bill were confusing. It was not clear if tips were included or not.
Machine to pay is still using tips recommendation 18% or above.
It's my first time here & everything was outstanding! As a someone who is unable to eat gluten it's great to find a place with so many options. Love the music & the attentive staff.
Nous y sommes allées hier & nous avons eu une super expérience. Nous étions un gros groupe, donc ça devait nécessiter plus de travail & malgré tout le staff à été vraiment gentil & ont offert un super service. L'intérieur est très beau & c'était bon! Merci pour la découverte!
This place never disappoints - The meat is fresh & delicious, the service is impeccable, & the staff are very friendly & accommodating! We went to celebrate a birthday recently, & the team & our wonderful server, Eric, happily accepted to serve us a cake we brought in, light the candles, & even sang to the birthday boy! I recommend ordering the'group bbq' to share if it's your first time, though beware: it's a lot of food!
