Love this place!! Not the same as Gyukaku in Japan but still tasty. We were happy to have Asahi Super Dry. Wished for some of the veggies we could get in Japan but so glad for the enoki!!! The drinks are good & made to order. I was able to ask for less sweet & it was very nice. Everyone was very kind & sweet. Love how they yell out greetings in Japan, very authentic 😊 Last time we were there the music was super loud, this time much more bearable - loud enough to make it a fun atmosphere but not so loud we had to yell. Go if you haven't!!!

Gyu-Kaku is that spot. The kind of place you don't just like, you love.
This has officially become our spot, the place my boyfriend & I keep coming back to because it never misses. Ever. The food is insanely good. Every cut, every bite, every sauce is consistently amazing. The vibes are warm, fun, intimate, & just straight-up comforting. Somehow, every single visit is better than the last, which feels impossible, yet here we are.
A special & heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff who truly make this place shine, especially Alden, Mico, & Eric. You guys are genuinely amazing & make every visit feel special, personal, & memorable. Also huge love to the server who went out of his way to create new drinks & even let us taste his invention. I'm so sorry I forgot your name, but your passion & kindness did not go unnoticed.

My fiance & I came here on our trip to Montreal a few months back & we left very pleased.
The atmosphere is perfect for a date night! Sure it's more on the expensive side, but it's worth every penny!
The food was exceptionally amazing, along with the drinks! My fiance & I forgot to take photos.
The servers were also very helpful & polite; always serving with a smile.
When I visit Montreal again, I'm definitely coming back here!
Had a great time at Gyu-Kaku with my family! Service with Jin was incredible, he knew exactly what to recommend for drinks & meats. He even went beyond & showed us the best way to grill the harami cut he suggested because it was our first time. It was sooo tender & flavourful. We also enjoyed the spicy cabbage salad, karaage salad, fried rice & fried shrimps.
Definitely recommend Jin, he pays great attention to details & really took care of us 🤩🫶
C'est un bon resto que je recommande, mais pas dans l'entièreté. Si vous êtes quelqu'un au palais fin, vous serez comblé. Si vous êtes une personne gourmande, vous ne serez pas satisfait des portions. Le coût $ des plats à l'unité pour en ravoir n'est pas abordable dans le boeuf atouch! Sinon, le goût délicieux est là cependant. Le service est super, l'ambiance est là. Si vous êtes quelqu'un qui aime boire, c'est mitigé. J'ai pris un cocktail & dès la première gorgée...j'ai été choquée. Je buvais de l'eau. Le drink était tellement dilué dans une montagne de glaçons. À la fin d'un breuvage avec alcool, je m'y attends, au début, pas du tout. Mon drink a été un gros 0/10 pour moi. Au prix qu'on paye pour aller manger dans ce resto, je m'attendais à des boissons plus généreuses en goût. Outre cela, j'ai eu une belle soirée.

Booked a reservation for a large group, but we still ended up waiting 15 minutes to be seated. Not a problem, gave our group time to chat & the staff apologized for the wait. We ordered a few combo dinners to fill us & the food was good but did take a bit to come out. The staff were very friendly, & the restaurant had a good atmosphere. The food was pretty pricey though because we were a group over 6 people they only allowed us to do one bill or split the bills evenly. They also added an 18% service charge, so it ended up being about $70 each as we all got drinks too.
We reserved for a large group & we're seated quickly, served a steady stream of delicious foods (some of which was ready to eat & some of which we barbequed on our table barbeque. The drinks were amazing.

Our waiter Wilson gave us great suggestions for meats & drinks, the prime kalbi, sakuratini & mango smoothie were very delicious! Would absolutely come back again!!
We did have an amazing night, but our reservation was at 8 & the table was ready by 8:49 which annoying specially because it was raining outside & we were 6 people, i made sure everything was set 3x because we had a birthday but the food was really good! & the drinks were amazing

Absolutely Incredible Experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ!
From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, & the service was absolutely impeccable-attentive, friendly, & fast.
The food? Outstanding. Every cut of meat was high quality, well-marinated, & grilled to absolute perfection right at our table. The portions were generous, & the variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone. We especially loved the selection of sauces that perfectly complemented each bite.
The drinks were also fantastic, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. & for the quality & portion sizes, the pricing was incredibly reasonable. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of top-tier food, great service, & affordability, but Gyu-Kaku nailed it!
If you're looking for an amazing Japanese BBQ experience, this place is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back for more!
had the most memorable night at Gyu-Kaku, our server Victor (or Viktor), was incredibly helpful, giving us solid suggestions on what combo to order & what drinks to get. Hit the mark on everything, the meat was fantastic & well marinated as well as the drinks they served were awesome, the Sakura was amazing. I would go back for the service alone, thank you Victor for your amazing hospitality & adding to an amazing night!
Our dinner at Gyu-Kaku was a pleasant surprise during our visit to Montreal. First of all, it was very reasonably priced & all of the food was fresh. Second, we received so much food in the combo that we ordered so that by the end of the meal, we were super full. Lastly, the drinks were SO SO good. My boyfriend got a beer that was in a "mega mug" & I got some really well prepared cocktails. This place was a lot better than some of the fine dining places we tried. Lastly, the service was perfect. They were helpful without being too much. They really let us have a nice dinner that felt intimate & cosy with the right amount of guidance & suggestion. This place came highly recommended to our family & friends after our trip to Montreal.
1st time coming to Canada & had a good dinner with the wife & our server, Victor was very helpful always on top of it when I had an empty drink or needed something else very impressed. Very polite my wife love the service we was given thanks you

Honestly super impressed. They greet you upon seating, they had delicious food, beautiful drinks, high quality meats & absolutely amazing service. Highly recommend this place, great atmosphere, very clean, they changed our grill 3 times. We really had a great experience, can't wait to go back! Thank you to the kitchen & staff, my tummy is happy & full👏 💯
I only didn't give a 5 star review due to weak beverage menu. Food quality, service & tastes are amazing BUT for drinks nothing is interesting & to be honest it is pricey.
