Première visite, suggestion de mon fils car je lui avait mentionné que j'aimerais bien manger de la poutine. Je fus agréablement surpris en mangeant une poutine accompagné de morceaux de Smoke Meat, délicieuse avec leur sauce brune bien à eux.
Un Fast Food haut la coche...

I have come here the entirety of my studies for a hearty meal after long hours at the library, & they never disappoint.
The preparation is quick, the meal is warm & delicious, & they don't hesitate to go heavy on the cheese & the sauce.
I particularly like the Bonheur D'Occasion, it is my favorite by far. I highly recommend for those who want a twist on the classic but do not eat meat!
Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place. Great for a dinner between friends or family to warm up from the winter.

I tried the Le Florentine breakfast dish at Greenspot & it was absolutely delicious! This twist on classic eggs Benedict features perfectly poached eggs on toasted English muffins, topped with creamy hollandaise sauce & fresh sautéed spinach. The eggs were cooked just right-silky yolks that oozed over the dish-& the spinach added a nice earthy flavor that balanced the richness of the hollandaise.
The side of crispy breakfast potatoes was seasoned well & complemented the dish perfectly. The portion was generous, leaving me fully satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. The coffee was fresh & robust, rounding out the meal nicely.
Service was quick & friendly, even during the busy breakfast rush. The cozy, casual atmosphere made it a great spot to start the day. If you're a fan of eggs Benedict or just looking for a hearty breakfast, Greenspot's is the spot.
I took a friend there last night. He ordered spaghetti & meat sauce. He told me there was a lot more meat sauce than spaghetti. I mentioned it to the waiter, he offered to bring more spaghetti. He did & we said thank you. Lo & behold there's an extra charge on the bill.
The waiter did not mention there would be an extra charge, asked him to remove it. Came back, gave me the same bill. I asked to see the manager. He came over & suggested that my friend was lucky, that they probably put extra sauce so it only looked like not enough spaghetti. I informed him that I'm not paying extra, because the waiter never mentioned about extra charge. So after the blah blah, they removed the charge
Hey, I'm not saying that the customer is always right, but in this case I thought the situation was ridiculous. No desire to return to this joint. They have a lot of customers, so I guess they don't care if they turn some off every now & then with their pettiness.
Bel endroit tout du moins pour l'ambiance , sentiment d'appartenance au St Henri, ce restaurant est un inratable du quartier .
Seulement voilà , très malade juste apres y avoir mangé !! Bien dommage, hot dog 6,55$ & milkshake 6$50 ont eu raison de moi !
Si on s attarde sur les assiettes , le hot dog est servi avec une portion de frites ( les miennes avaient clairement pris de l'âge & n'étaient pas bonnes ) il pourrait être mieux rangé dans le plat .
La poutine enfant avait aussi des vieilles frites & un fond de sauce un peu noir.
La sauce des spaghettis du menu enfant n'est pas faite maison alors qu'on y sert des pizzas à la base de sauce tomate.
Par contre l'assiette soulvaky était fraîche & bonne 23$.
En résumé peu d'effort sur les petites assiettes mais il y en a sur les grandes .
Clairement un problème de fraîcheur dans mon repas.
& c est désolant de sentir ce laisse aller car si le coeur y était ça serait un restaurant bon marché où se retrouver très souvent , avec une ambiance d'antan & un super service à table !
Le Green Spot est une véritable institution montréalaise! Son ambiance rétro & chaleureuse nous transporte dans le temps. La nourriture est réconfortante & délicieuse, parfaite pour un brunch copieux ou un dîner sans prétention. Leurs poutines sont légendaires, avec une sauce riche & des tonnes de fromage en grains frais. Le service est rapide & amical, & les prix sont très raisonnables pour la qualité & la quantité offertes. C'est un endroit idéal pour une expérience authentique & savoureuse à Montréal. Un incontournable!

Problem is this has always been mid tier food. That was the selling point. ,3$ a hot dog & 15$ poutine for very mid food that should be cheap. Not cool anymore. Fries are soggy, sauce is the powder, & barly curds
Bon resto de quartier, les prix sont abordables, restaurant familiale, ouvert tard le soir. Une bonne variété de dessert. Cependant, la sauce à poutine est trop salée, mais beaucoup de variété de poutine.
The driest Italian poutine I have ever tasted. The sauce was so dry that it could not penetrate the fries or cheese. Basically very poor quality & taste.
J ai mangé un hamburger avec une boulette calcinée La poutine n était pas mangeable Frite mal cuite , la sauce était gluante & mauvais goût Je suis très déçus Donc petite poutine & hamburger Avec taxes & tissus = $ 23.00

Poutine: -fries 3/5 -cheese 5/5 -sauce 4/5 More sauce would be a bit beneficial too compensate with the fries but other than that thats a more than decent classic cantine poutine
Caveat, we generally are not really into fast food, but we do like a good pastrami sandwich & wanted to try poutine, & love historic vintage places, so we decided to give Greenspot a try. The smoked meat sandwich & poutine were the best things we tried. I liked the squeaky cheese & the style of fries, both crispy & soft at the same time, but the gravy was a bit too salty. The smoked meat sandwich was stuffed with meat, like at Katz's Deli in New York & tasted great. The pizza which my son had oddly had the pepperoni under the cheese (maybe this is a Canadian thing). He enjoyed it. My daughter & husband shared a lasagna, but we were shocked to receive a massive family size portion with the lunch menu. But it was not great... There were dry inedible pasta edges, & parts where the pasta doesn't have sauce in between & it's just layers of cooked pasta stuck together. There were also a lot of whole cloves in the sauce for some reason, & my daughter hurt her tooth biting one. The minestrone soup that came with the lasagna was just average diner soup, possibly canned soup heated up. Overall, the meal was heavy & what you'd expect of an average diner. Not great but not awful. Also the lunch special was supposed to come with coffee & a dessert, which would have been way too much food, considering the massive portions, but I did notice that the waitress didn't bring it up & ask if we wanted it. On the plus side, it's cool to eat in a vintage diner, & I wish we had a coin to try the jukebox at the table. We didn't find out if they worked or not.
Cute place with lots of memorabilia & old timey booths. The staff doesn't smile much, Not a fan of the dark gravy sauce on the poutine & the fries weren't as crispy as I'd like them. Cheap & decent hotdogs.
On a beaucoup aimé. Les poutines sont vraiment exquis pour le côté qualité & prix! Les frites maison sont croustillantes & la sauce qui a une belle épaisseur, n'abîme pas les frites! Les garnitures sont parfaites pour ce qu'on voulait essayer! Service amical & rapide. L'ambiance rétro nous a bien plu! Bonne continuation & bravo à toute l'équipe !
Une première visite à ce resto pour un dîner tardif. Service rapide & courtois. J'ai commandé une petite poutine & un hot dog. Je n'ai rien à dire de négatif pour le hot dog mais pour la poutine c'est complètement différent. Dès que j'ai reçu ma poutine j'ai remarqué la couleur du fromage en grain & le doute s'est installé. Le fromage était jauni,sec, pâteux & de très mauvais gout. J'ai retourné ma poutine sans problème mais malheureusement la deuxième n'était pas mieux le fromage n'était pas mieux & de plus la sauce était froide. Les frites sont super!
Malheureusement je ne compte pas retourner pour une deuxième expérience.
La caissière nous a servi avec un petit sourire douteux ...
